how it feels joining a new moot circle

one of the more embaressing things i've done/has happened to me in recent history

content: illness

i went to (read: was somewhat forced into going to) a summer camp that requires you to take a swim test each year

feeling like shit about my body on multiple levels, i completed the test and made it back to shore without drowning

this is where a key factor comes into play: i am not in good shape at all

i was very worn out from swiming four laps of the swiming area, and barely managed the hike up the hill to the bathhouse to change

i made it into a shower stall and collapsed on the ground feeling extremely nauseous and like my legs would give out if i tried to stand.

nobody's around yet because camp has just barely started. my cabinmates knew i went for my swim test, but no one knew i was panting for air on the bath house floor

i eventually managed to sit up and turn on the shower and drink some of the disgusting shower lake water

that gave me the fortitude to stagger over to the dining hall to beg for a cup of water and a fan to sit under

i found neither of those things

instead i found a herd of adults who made me walk back to my cabin right then and there because i couldn't find the words to describe my plight

i slowly made it back, and the next day started feeling equally bad to the point where i couldn't raise my head from between my knees, let alone walk
