My name is Jason Todd. A lot of people already know what happened so there's no need to talk about that. I have plenty of allies, a long list of enemies and a family that I don't want to do anything with and vice versa if we can help it. But I'm stepping outside of Batman's shadow. I'm going to be better than Batman ever was and help this city and the world in the ways he couldn't help. Swapping Stories and Intel: Roy Harper and Jason Todd (Pre-52)

Jason was right about one thing. He did look good for a dead guy. With the helmet on, he could easily pass for any age he wanted to convey, but like this Roy could see the youth for what he really was. Jason couldn’t have been more than twenty. He was young, but he definitely wasn’t small. He was tall and he was big— strong. He’d definitely not be someone Roy would care to go up against if he didn’t have to. “You’ve definitely got that right.” He was a little surprised and a little touched that Jason took off the domino too.

"All the time." He shifted with a content and relaxed expression. "I’m pretty sure Dinah is her favorite, but she plays with everyone. No one can resist her." He smiled. "I think she knows that too." Lian would pout, whine, and complain like any child, but he wouldn’t call her a brat. Not in the least bit.

He glanced over to Jason when he made the subtle suggestion. It was obvious that Jason wanted to see her. “I don’t mind.” Roy trusted his judgement of character, and Jason seemed okay— familiar even. He wasn’t Robin anymore, but Roy didn’t really see a criminal either. Hell, Lian’s mom was a dangerous criminal and he still encouraged Lian to talk to her. “Just as long as it’s you and not the Red Hood. The helmet is a little freaky for a five year old, you know.” He teased.

He had his theories as to why Dinah was probably the favorite outside of Roy himself. Without Cheshire around, Dinah was probably the closest to a mother figure Lian had in her life. Moms were important, no matter if they were a boy or a girl. He knew from his own personal experience. "She's the first kid, unless someone had a surprise baby while I was away" he chuckled. "Chances are she's going to be head honcho for a bit amongst the Tiny Titans."

It was a silly joke but he'd be fine with that. He was glad Roy was willing to let him near Lian though. "And being around green skinned people, cyborgs, and aliens isn't freaky?" he asked with the shadow of a smile. "Relax. I'm not going to come in costume. She'd probably be confused. She'll probably think I'm Dick first until she notices the hair."

i’ve been entertaining the thought of redesigning red hood’s uniform for a while now (actually, maybe all of the outlaws) and from the very beginning the idea of a domino + semi transparent helmet was in the back of my mind. i hope i’ll have the time to draw out the whole uniform~

Roy was trying to be nice about the issue before, but Jason was right. Dick wouldn’t really see this issue as something that could easily be debated. Roy agreed that overall, it was morally wrong, but there was a lot more to be said about the issue than that. There was a lot of grey area. “Listen, if we’re gonna do small talk why don’t you take off the hood? I have a feeling that talking to your face instead of a helmet-head is going to feel a lot less weird.” He turned his head with a half smile, making the suggestion with a humored tone in his voice.

"She’s five." He brought up one of his hands to scratch at the five-o-clock shadow that was starting to itch along his chin. He’d be a lot more reluctant to reveal details about his daughter if he didn’t know for a fact Jason didn’t hurt kids. Roy had a feeling that he never would. "..and she likes My Little Pony." He laughed through his nose. Every Saturday morning that’s what she would be watching when he woke up.

"You don’t owe her— us anything though, Jason.” Roy couldn’t help but to smile at the sweet gesture regardless.

Jason couldn't help but shrug. Roy had a point. Seeing a masked Jason (and not in a Robin outfit or domino mask) was probably jarring Roy. Maybe not as much as Jason at long last coming back from the dead, but up there. "Yeah, you're right. I'm just used to talking with it on." He removed the safety feature and tugged it off. Jason had still dyed his hair black, though a bit of white was starting to show near the front. His facial features got a lot harder and he hadn't aged as gracefully as Dick had. "For a dead guy, I probably turned out well all things considered" Jason joked as he stuck the hood under his arm. A quick tug of the security domino mask and Roy was seeing Jason without any sort of cover.

"So does she ask to play with you? Or has she been asking Dinah or Ollie to do that? Or the other Titans?" The guy couldn't help but smile at the idea of Dick or Donna or Vic and especially Roy kneeling down and playing with plastic ponies. It was cute.

"She's a kid Roy and I don't think it'd hurt to give her some stuff. I doubt you raised a brat." And he doubted Cheshire's personality trickled down into whatever Roy produced. Not to his knowledge anyways. "Unless you'd prefer she never meets me."
