Okay listen, I'm well aware that for my own sanity I need to stop getting so attached to niche media with no fan content, but this is a Panman appreciation post because I'm thoroughly disappointed in the fact that this man isn't a tumblr sexyman yet
Let me paint a picture: me and @notsocharming-man, in class. They're trying to slack off, as one does after finals. They type "Pac-man" into Google. They misclick. This poster shows up. We lose our shit.
They move on and play their Pac-man, but I'm not satisfied. I dig and find myself on whoispanman.com. Lime green text on a red background. Panman is edited into various classical art pieces and posters and such. There's a YouTube channel with a bigfoot-style Panman sighting uploaded to it. There's a gallery for the premier of this movie which features a bunch of pictures taken with a Panman mannequin. Absolute cinema. This is the official website by the creator, by the way! It has his contact info!!
Obviously I won't shut up about this and so we watch this movie, it's hilarious, you can tell there was someone on the team who REALLY wanted to flex their blood sfx skills -- genuinely an amazing comedy to watch with a group, assuming nobody is too squeamish
The plot centers around a culinary student named Jeremy who is possessed by the ghost of a dead chef that compels him to cover his head with a pot and murder people with kitchen utensils. Jeremy, however, has his sights on Hope, one of his classmates, which means we receive a beautiful scene where the infamous and widely feared Panman, immediately prior to beheading Hope's douchebag boyfriend with a saucepan, presents her with this note
Out of the eight of us who watched it we all agreed that the first twenty minutes are the best part and could stand alone, but I digress -- what's even better is that whoispan.com is actually a major plot point and in-universe forum website that people use to post updates on Panman, which Jeremy's culinary teacher / Panman's archnemesis, Professor Hunter, uses to track him throughout the film
BUT THAT'S STILL NOT EVEN THE BEST PART BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO TELL YOU THE BEST PART
Remember how I mentioned the creator advertises his contact info? For shits and giggles I went ahead and emailed him (the director as well as the actor who plays Panman) asking if Panman could be considered pansexual (among other things), and he actually responded very promptly with an incredibly well-worded and thorough response saying that any interpretation of Panman's sexuality is welcome and he loves when people see Panman as pan even if he didn't necessarily write him that way
Sooooooo the movie is great and so is Mr. Panman himself, y'all should watch it and email him with your thoughts because I NEED a sequel pls & ty

Gobsmacked whenever people say it’s just some random people with their faces. Every single things said it’s them.
i’m not a kristoff x elsa shipper by any means, but i had a dream the other week that i was watching a really well-animated frozen video/song where kristoff climbed up elsa’s abandoned, crumbling ice castle (using his mountain-climbing skills) just so he could sit on the broken throne and symbolically take his place as the “ice king”
and i keep thinking about it

I have such mixed feelings about the Kristoff's characterisation Frozen: The Musical as opposed to the original film, but one thing I love is his line "You trust, you hope, you dare / you choose to feel and care / I thought that I was strong 'till I bumped into you."
"choosing to feel" being seen as a positive trait might be my new favorite thing.

they really shouldve just given holly's plotline to mike.
imagine the chaos of the madwheeler duo running rampant in vecnas mind.
imagine them being forced to see each others worst memories and recognising the real reason they butt heads so often is because they just cant stand how similar they really are.
imagine they fight because theyre still in denial about their similarities because theyre both self hating idiots, and/or they have some sort of disagreement, maybe about how to escape or maybe max confronts him about how he's treated el in the past.
imagine that right as tensions are highest, they stumble into another memory and max finds out that mikes big secret is that hes in love with will. and he expects her to berate him. to yell at him, say she just knew there was something wrong with him, but of course she doesn't. she just hugs him and tells him its okay. and he's so caught off guard that he doesn't even react at first, but then piece by piece he just starts to break down and cry into her shoulder, because its such a relief to finally just admit it to someone, and the fact that max, someone who isnt very fond of him on a good day, still accepts him honestly just makes her the perfect person to admit it to.
imagine she opens up to him about how it wasn't the music that saved her at all, it was her connection, her love for lucas, and that if he wants to escape he has to accept the same thing for himself. he has to realize what love really tethers him to this world.

"you're just mad at the duffers because byler didn't happen"the writers and directors of the show needed maya hawke to remind them while filming that lucas didn't know robin is a lesbian in the 80's who is dating vickie, so they should whisper about their date at enzo's and their relationship instead of talking loudly about it. yeah, they totally handled very well queer representation.

Having a queer character believe he won't find love and proving him right is not good writing.
Having a character grow up in solitary confinement and then ripping her away from the only family she's ever known to live a life of solitude once again is not good writing.
Having a character be in love with his best friend and then just compare it to a high school crush is not good writing.
Having Eleven say that Mike has always been the person who truly understood her after showing us in the previous seasons that he only sees her as a superhero IS NOT GOOD WRITING.
Having two girls be abused by a man with power for the majority of their lives only to leave them dead and alone as a direct consequence of the trauma they suffered IS VILE WRITING
yeah bro my love for you is intrinsically woven into the very fabric of the narrative and is continuously the reason i find it within myself to keep on fighting and has actually empowered me to save myself and many others on multiple occasions but it’s fine if you don’t like me back or whatever
btw lucas being the first out of the party to say will won't lose him and his face didn't change at all when will said he doesn't like girls. still s tier friend no notes lucas sinclair you will always be famous.
