LONG TIME NO SEE WITH @ameliascxtt

After a long day at work, Jake was ready to go home for a relaxing evening. Charlotte was with her mother for the weekend which meant he had the entire house to himself. As of late he always felt lost whenever he didn’t have his daughter around. A lot of his friends had left Atlanta which left him with nothing to do, but watch TV and enjoy a cold beer. Jake was in need of something exciting to happen and that excitement was coming sooner than expected. While walking to his motorcycle, he spotted a face that he hadn’t seen in a long time. Without any hesitation, Jake ran across the street, almost getting hit by a car in the process. It was worth it, because his assumption about who the blonde figure was happened to be true. “Amelia?” He said into the night air in a whisper for only the two of them to hear.

“Hi, I’m Alba, sometimes I completely fail at life.” She slumped forward onto the table and buried her head in her arms, leaving her coffee uncharacteristically untouched. She could feel the slightest remnants of a headache forming at the crown of her head and she wanted nothing more than to scream into a pillow at that moment. She lifted up her sketchbook and pointed at the dress she had drawn there. “It looks weird right? The hemline, it’s all wrong.”

Jake looked at the drawing while exhaling a soft sigh. When it came to a fashion sense, he had none. Every day it was jeans and a t-shirt for me, very simple and nothing special. “It looks fine to me.” He admitted before taking a sip of his coffee. “I like the color of it.”

“I love my job, I really do,” Della sighed. There was an air of annoyance in her voice as she shifted in her seat, bringing her fingers to mess with the straw attached to her cup. “And I knew that dealin’ with passionate drunks would be somethin’ I’d have to deal with, but honestly I don’t know how much longer I can put up with guys, young and old mind you, grabbin’ my ass when I’m just tryin’ to shoot some t-shirts out of an air cannon,” she huffed. “It’s gettin’ old.”

“Next time one of them grabs your ass, aim that cannon right at their face. The close distance and the force of the t-shirt will be sure to teach them a lesson.” Jake insisted with a nod and a smile.

“Что значит, он болен?“ the blonde stated loudly into the phone, not caring who was around listening. It wasn’t like they could understand her anyways. With a hand running through her hair, she quickly dropped the phone from her ear and hung up on whomever was still talking to her. “Fuck,” she stated underneath her breath, trying to think about what she was going to do next.

“I didn’t understand what you said, but how you said it, I’d be scared for whoever is on the other end.” Jake stated with a tiny chuckle. It was his attempt to cheer her up since it was clear that something was bothering her. “You okay?”

“Okay, pretend we’re talking, yeah?” Callum said without preamble to the person now stood in front of him, looking over his shoulder shiftily at the woman he was currently trying to avoid.

When the man spoke, a wave of confusion first washed over Jake. That was until he noticed a woman who seemed to be staring at him. “So...” He started off before shrugging his shoulders. “Nice weather we’re having huh?”

“I am gonna fuckin’ kill her.” Margo said under her breath, pursing her lips together as she looked at her Twitter feed. It wasn’t even noon and she already had to handle a huge PR disaster her sister caused. That spoiled French bitch. “I can’t believe this. I fucking can’t.”

Standing close by, Jake noticed a woman who clearly seemed stressed about something. “Before you do anything drastic you have to ask yourself, how well would you do in prison?” He asked, hoping his attempt at a joke would calm her down.

Maybe a dog wasn’t his best idea – but Jay hadn’t ended up where he was by living a life wrought with good ideas. The truth of the matter was, he had too much time, and so few ways to fill it. A dangerous place for someone with a strong predilection for booze and bad choices. So the shelter dog that was, at the moment, tugging at the leash with every amount of muscle that was packed into her 60-pound body, was serving well to occupy him. Although, with his bandaged side and a hell of a black eye, he was hardly in the best shape he’d ever been in. So when she stilled for a moment, granting him a reprieve, he breathed a sigh of relief. It had been a smart play by the German Sheperd mix, who used his moment of relief to lunge forward toward the person nearest. “Shit,” he muttered under his breath as she managed to pull him just a mere foot away from from her target. The dog sighed in excitement, tail wagging at the prospect of attention. “I’m sorry – she’s harmless, really, just… excited.” He apologized, hand wrapped tightly around the leash.

Jake had been walking his golden retriever when another dog seemed to lunge forward to them. Of course, his dog began jumping in excitement and attempting to sniff the other. “No worries man.” He stated with a chuckle, pulling at the leash to prevent his dog from overexciting the other. “You’ve got a beautiful looking dog, what kind is she? German Shepard?”

This was wrong. This much Sam knew. She remembers all of those constant text messages, people reminding her to stay indoors and getting to safe space in Union Station. But, her thoughts were too stormy to handle it anymore. Every and any physical part of her was simply ready to crumble. Her vulnerability being worn upon her shoulder, desperate for its disappearance but not today, not during this chaos. Going against her moral judgment, the little Sam has at the moment, it must’ve brought her here now. It wasn’t far from the station. Wandering away from the safe space. Curiosity simply killed the cat. Walking next to the tracks, she doesn’t feel the urge to stay quite. “Kind of.. chaotic in there,” she mentions, glancing toward the other. For her, it was but wandering the point of view from the others. And it would’ve been the horrifying timing, finding the worse because what Sam endures next is left speechless and electrical jolts through her body. Instant hit brunt forced hit due to the rail lines, laying there on the cold, damp rainy ground. Teeth chattering, body shaking while breathless, simply gone instantly.

Ever since he was a little boy, Jake had longed for adventure. Staying in one place for a long period of time often drove him insane. Which was why he decided to explore once his daughter had fallen asleep in the arms of a friend. Plus, he wanted to see for himself how bad the storm really was. Once he ventured outside with another, he realized that staying inside might have been the better option. Before he could respond to her statement the storm rallied against them as if they were trespassing on armored ground. A loud crash was heard and a sharp jolt was felt by his shoulder. For a moment, Jake was knocked to the ground from what appeared to be the broken rail lines. Bringing his hand up to his head, he instantly noticed blood smeared over his fingers. As he looked around, he spotted Samantha on the ground appearing unresponsive to the world. Jake crawled over to her, gently shaking her side. “Can you hear me? Are you okay?” His Navy training was starting to kick in which allowed him to forget his pain and focus on her.

Seth’s eyes narrowed for a second before he let out a laugh. “Think whatever you want, I couldn’t care less.” He was two seconds from walking away, there was no point to this conversation. His head tilted to the side again and his smile grew, arms folding over his chest tightly. “You’re probably not important enough for her to mention it.” He shrugged his shoulders and watched closely. “That’s a good try though, but you can’t faze me. She’s here with me. That’s all I need to know or care about.” 

“I must be pretty important since she’s mentioned my name to you.” Jake sent him a smug grin while he pushed his hands into his pockets. It was hard for him to hear what Seth was saying and it took every ounce in his body to pretend that this wasn’t effecting him. However, he didn’t know how much longer he could keep up his act. “Well if later on in the night, she disappears from your little group, just know that she’ll be with me.”
