OOC: Reblogging this from my main blog. I worked super hard on it! I hope you all like it!
OOC: Sorry for my absence lately. I've been working on a Jackev vid, AND I'M SO EXCITED TO SHARE IT!!
OOC: Regarding the reveal of Langwidereâs true nature and why she wears the masks, I have some headcanons about her that I hope everyone else might agree with at least a little.
SPOILERS BELOW.
When she stopped, so did Alanna right beside her listening as she explained she nodded her head. âIâll see what I can do, Iâm sure some of my villagers can provide the coal you need for your city your grace.â She promised the older woman giving a smile.
Lady Ev chuckled. The girl was so sweet. So innocent. It was almost too easy for Langwidere. âYou misunderstand me, Your Majesty. Iâm not talking about coal for the winter or even the year. Iâm talking about a supply that will last my kingdom for the rest of my reign. Which could be...quite a long time.â
Langwidere grinned, knowing what the girl did not.

Lady Ev nodded her head graciously and took a sip. Her father had taught her this moveâdrink or eat in strange company, and itâs often interpreted as a sign of trust. Though Langwidere didnât quite trust this witch yet, diplomacy was diplomacy.
The tea was bitter, but nice.
âAs I was saying, I need a fair woman to act as a sort of lady-in-waiting for me. My incoming guests areâŚold fashioned. They donât think it proper that a lady act as her own escort.â
@mistress-west
The Cardinal Witch shrugged, moving over to where the other cup stood and taking it for herself, slowly raising it to her lips and welcoming the familiar taste that came with the tea as she swallowed. Back still turned to the woman, she merely afforded a glance over her shoulder at Lady Ev with a raised brow.
âOld fashioned? Then why, pray tell, have you come to a brothel to speak to a Cardinal Witch?â she asked. âA display of power perhaps? Or rebellion?â
Lady Ev managed a smile. She took another sip of her drink, the tea calming her rigid muscles. âI thought both,â she admitted. She took a few languid steps to the witch and added, âIt amuses me that these old fools wonât know theyâre in the presence of aâŚâ
Langwidere stopped and tilted her head at West. âWhore doesnât feel like the right word. Lady of the Night, perhaps?â
âIt seems as if what you desire is more than just one of my girls dressed up to look pretty for your little gathering.â she mused, tilting her head to the side as she inclined her body back slightly, meeting the gaze of the princess beneath the blondeâs mask. It seemed the poppy wouldnât have to work too hard to take affect if it continued at this rate.
âHave you only coin to offer for such a favor?â inquired the dark-haired woman, taking another sip of her own tea.
Langwidere barked a laugh. She covered her mouth. It was much too loud, much too sudden, much tooâŚun-Langwidere of her. She felt light and airy, as if she were visiting a jester than a sinister Cardinal witch. Not that West resembled a jester in the slightest, but everything was just so amusing in the moment.
She drank the tea again.
âGold, I have, my dear. Have you seen my mask?â She pointed to her own face, another out of character move. Whatever was happening, it was certainly amusing.
âAnd you, Mistress West?â Langwidere slurred. âHave you the woman for such a favor?â
Part of West wondered if perhaps giving this young woman the tea had been an unwise decision in the long run, but perhaps at the very least this would be worth some⌠Amusement.
The witch smiled, inching towards the princess and moving to where she was standing at her side, shoulder to shoulder, her gaze never leaving Langwidereâs as she shrugged. âI have women for all tastes here. But if you truly desire more than to just be a scandalous host to your guests, youâll have to specify what exactly you desire this woman to do. Anyone can flirt and dance⌠But you seem to have more in mind.â
Langwidere snorted a laugh and tilted her head away. The witch was so close, so serious. Why did everything have to be cloaked in mystery, anyway? Why couldnât they all just...laugh?
Lady Ev downed the last of her tea and dropped the cup on the intricate rug below her feet. No matter. âMistress West,â she began, âI live for scandal. My court is made of my fatherâs loyalists--theyâre old-fabshioned.â Langwidere cleared her throat. âOld-fashioned. They wouldnât know a good time if it bit them in the arse.â
Langwidere turned away and laughed again, doubling over. âArseâ was a funny word. Arse, arse arse. She staggered over the the fireplace, tripping over herself. An idea suddenly sprang to mind.
Lady Ev gasped and pointed to West. âYou should do it!â

@lady-sarah (main verse)
âThis isnât Winkie Country. Tell me where I am right now.â
Sarahâs eyes went wide as she looked the woman up and down, trying to decide what to do. This woman wasnât of her world, and whether she was from the Goblin Kingâs was unknown. âProvidence, Rhode Island.â She spat out. The woman wouldnât understand where that was, or Sarah thought she wouldnât, but it was all she could really say as she processed everything.
Lady Ev looked around the strange room. âAn island of roads,â she mused. If there was a road here anything like the yellow brick one back in Oz, perhaps returning home wouldnât be too difficult.
She looked at the young woman. Her dark hair, thick brows, and stunning green eyes was reminiscent of a witch or two she knew back home. âWhatâs your name?â
@lady-sarah
OOC: Lady Ev is online.
What are you feelings on Jane? She does a lot of work for your kingdom, and makes your masks. Do you know her much outside of business transactions.
Jane has been a very valuable asset to my kingdom for a long time now. For an outsider, sheâs quite competent. Other than her mechanical skills, I have no interest in her personal life.

The young blonde follow after the woman, hands resting infront of her lap as she said. âYes, Iâve learned to play it during my youth why do you ask?â She was curious on why she was asked such a question.
âThen you know itâs often made from coal. Makes the sound reverberate better.â She stopped at the end of a long hall before a great window. The city of Ev was before them, chugging and rumbling and chiming with life.
âMost of my kingdom is powered by coal. We learned to harness it long before the Wizard even came.â Langwidere inhaled deeply and faced the young woman. âOur reserves are running low. Gold is all well and good, but it doesnât turn the lights on, you see. Can you promise me coal?â
Lady Ev nodded her head graciously and took a sip. Her father had taught her this moveâdrink or eat in strange company, and itâs often interpreted as a sign of trust. Though Langwidere didnât quite trust this witch yet, diplomacy was diplomacy.

Lady Ev peered at the woman, a smile cracking the somber landscape of her face. She had no interest in preserving magic, but if it meant taking down a foe as treacherous as the Wizard, she was willing to at least consider it.
âTell me about this man.â
@sorceressqueenofcamelot
The sorceress pretended to pause as if about to speak but reconsidering, before a smirk came upon her features and she shook her head. She didnât trust this woman quite yet, or her intentions. And by now, Morgana was more than cautious of betrayals if she was not alert and studious of the motives of those she decided to call allies.
âYou barely meet me at the gates of your castle, Lady Ev. Would you not prefer to speek indoors, and within your own home?â she inquired, testing to see just how much hospitality she would be given just yet.
Langwidere blinked. No one had ever spoken so boldly to her, no matter that it was such a small request. But she was charmed by this womanâs brashness. âOf course,â Lady Ev said, grinning. âYouâll come in and eat. I insist. Ev has the best stock of cattle in the realm.â
The woman sighed softly, this woman was a real piece of work. âWell what can I offer you if I donât even know a thing about you madam.â She said in a annoyed quiet voice, sipping at her tea once it cooled down It felt nice as the warm liquid went down her throat. âSay what you want and Iâll get it.â
Lady Ev smiled widely. Music to her ears. She set her teacup down, stood from her throne, and walked down the stairs to meet the princess at eye level. âTake a walk with me. Have you ever seen an Evian harp? It makes the most beautiful sound.â
Lady Ev nodded her head graciously and took a sip. Her father had taught her this moveâdrink or eat in strange company, and itâs often interpreted as a sign of trust. Though Langwidere didnât quite trust this witch yet, diplomacy was diplomacy.

âDonât worry madam, I have enough gold to pay for every single one of your men.â She smiled towards the maid, silently thanking her as she grabbed the tea cup from the tray placing it onto her lap, the warm feeling soothing on her legs.
Langwidere chuckled. The child fell right into her trap. âGold I have, dear. Or have you not looked around my palace? Each of my masks is made with gold in one way or another.â She laughed again to accentuate her point. Perhaps she was being too cruel, but it was a long day, and Lady Ev had been terribly bored. She needed something to tease.
âGive me a better offer.â
