Absolutely shattered. I have a low stress threshold. That’s what I learned today. The therapist is worth her money admittedly, though she does cost an awful lot of it unfortunately, her words strike deep in ways that I don’t process immediately. But they do sink in over the days and I realise how right she had it. Though I really wish she wasn’t so expensive. T_T One euro a minute. I needed to ask my mom to buy me dinner because overall I’ve lost one hundred euro in the last month, that is including any money I earned, the gender therapist costing more than that.. Anyway, that’s money, that is not the big issue right now. What the fuck! I have a low stress threshold or as I like to call it the streshold. So that explains a lot. It’s due to my brain developing around stress from an early age. Stress changes the brain apparently, in a grim way that makes me stressed to think about so I choose to ignore it and think on the more positive things. So I need to stay away from stress. Like altogether. This is very hard for me. I don’t think i’ve ever successfully done this for very long at all, not in a sustainable way anyways. Ergh. I need to be gentle. Light as a feather. Gracefully hum and flutter through my thoughts and feelings, delving and experiencing and accepting. Soothingly. I don’t need to be so intense about it, like I’m always holding my breath or something. Need to get into ma body and do a bit of that breathing stuff i’ve been hearing other people do, apparently it works well for some so I’m eager to try. Tumblring my feelings is nice for some reason. Because writing is a trek and laptopping is always a lovely companionable distraction, basking me in its technicolour glow, soothing me with its funny videos and trivial facebook statuses. Filling me with irrelevant information, relevant information and information that isn’t actually information, just so I can forget it all by tomorrow. The laptop is an escape and a prison. It is the key to bliss and freedom, only to realise that around me are walls, filled with the mutterings of lewd web articles and unethical advertising, imprinting on me more than I will ever know, printing psychological tattoos onto my prefrontal cortex, unerasable and incognito. I turn and see the door returning. I return. This is great, but it’s too intense, stress is coming, coming, and like an orgasm it rises and peaks and it’s like a guilty release to let myself crash and burn. Guilt becomes my neighbour, shame my co-worker, fear my best friend, anger is my family and oh is it big. But they’re all just people, living their perfect lives with perfect wives brandishing kitchen knives and waving out the husband to work and why does he have to work like this and why does any of it work like this. Tastes like piss. Smells like it too, unsettling, gut wrenching, flush it down the loo. Forget the smell, nothing happened, push it down and don’t try to tap in to it, tap on, wash your hands of it, compliance. To the ego and the signs and the symbols that wrap vines around the kindness of your sublime existence. The internet is the information age. I’ll tell you one thing, I’m not in formation.
