INDIE ANIMATED SERIES WEEKLY PROGRESS UPDATE #3
MONDAY JULY 27TH 2026
Welcome back to the weekly progress update for the first indie animated series I'm currently producing, Unseen!
What is Unseen?
Unseen is an indie animated fantasy/horror series following Rulyn, a young boy just introduced into the ranks of the Battalion- The drum-wielding law enforcement of the city of Riversbeak- and his strange encounter with the Blight, a demonic servant whose unholy powers are believed only to be shackled by the sovereign leader of the city, The Mind's Eye. This encounter proves to be quite the contentious issue amongst the rest of the Battalion, and as Rulyn fights to uncover the truth of the Blight and history of the city long buried, he becomes the subject of a debate with one main question.
"Why didn't the Blight kill him?"
Without further ado, on with the progress update!
First up for this update, we have some work complete on the colour script for episode 1!!
This is an earlier progress screen cap but here it is anyways!!
There's a lot more complete on this now, but for sake of not spoiling, I'll keep them under wraps for now hehe!!
Next up!
We have a start on the rough animation for the Episode 1 first sequence!
The background for this sequence was very quickly blocked in with blender, and will not serve as the actual model for the scene, but here's a screenshot of it + a showcase of the camera movement within it anyways.
The actual model for this particular area is currently in the process of being modelled by the lovely Sun_of_Seas over on bluesky, one of my friends on the production team!!
That's about everything for this particular update, but if you are interested in following the production, please feel free to follow all of the updates, content, and more on this blog and my secondary animated askblog, @delights-of-ronos (Which is currently undergoing a large revamp, so please be patient whilst changes are being made!!)
Thank you so much for keeping up with the production!!

And from the ashes of the person they chose to burn, I know you will rise again. not as a phoenix- fiery, blinding, vengeful- but as a tiny green sprout that will grow- delicate, nurturing, gentle-
This. Amazing. Woman. I just saw Nolan's Odyssey, and there is no word that can describe how much I ABSOLUTELY ADORE Circe's character and the completely valid and justifiable crashout she had on all of Odysseus's men.
There really is something to be said about how she turns men into lions, tigers, and other animals that HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO HARM AND KILL HUMANS because the danger those animals pose pales in comparison to the danger that the men they once were are capable of. She feels safer living with man-eaters than with actual men, and can you blame her after everything she's been put through?!
And you gotta love the line "go back to your disguises," which she said as she was turning the pigs back into Odysseus's crew, and what that line says about all of them and how she sees the world because of all the terrible things men like them have done.
She's not some sadistic, power-hungry villain who delights in the suffering and cruelty of others. She's JUST A WOMAN TRYING TO PROTECT HERSELF from the suffering and cruelty that the men who have crossed her path have heaped upon her, in a world that has been shaped and twisted to support and protect those very men.

For this update, we've got news on the cast roll video!!
I'm pleased to say the cast roll video is almost ready to be posted, so it'll be posted very soon on all my socials, including my TikTok and Youtube! So keep an eye out for that!! It will be posted before the next update!!
In terms of progress on the animation for the episodes, I have a bit of VERY rough animation from the concept script for episode 2!
This past week as been super fun in terms of working on different projects!! The main focus is Unseen of course, but I've also been in the process of updating the available episodes of the webtoon release/comic version of Unseen's sequel project, Moon of Ronos!!
The ultimate goal for both projects is animated series, but for now I will be updating the webtoon version of Moon of Ronos until I get the chance to fully dive in to animating it as an indie series.
(I'd link the webtoon version, but it is currently undergoing a large overhaul so I won't, but you are welcome to go find it to see the old art if you would like!!)
Thank you all so much for keeping up with the updates!!

Without further ado, here's the progress update!
First up, We've got the first complete and finalized model sheets done for the two main characters!
While working on these sheets, I was working to set them up in a way that was both organized but also got across everything I wanted. Given these are both only the first full sheets for the finalized designs, I wanted to strike a balance between detail and minimalistic design.
โI've also begun work on the layouts for the opening of Episode 1โ
โAs well as a concept animation for the opening of Episode 2!โ
:D
In other news, the very lovely voice actors for this project have all begun submitting their lines for the completed script for episode 1!!
And I want to say a huge thank you to the voice actors and the other crew members for being such treats to work with!!
I'll be posting a cast roll video very soon! I just have to finish editing it and putting it all together!!
Once that's complete and posted, I'll be finishing up work on the teaser trailer for the series and getting that out as well!!
Thank you all so much for continuing to follow this project and for all of your support!!
