i am so fucking proud of her for a zillion reasons but the number one reason i’m proud of her in this moment is that she’s 100% honest about how the trauma is affecting her life and is sharing smaller details that a lot of people might not understand or consider. can not possibly express my love enough. hearing her speak on this is so validating and empowering and i absolutely cannot thank her enough for putting herself through this much media attention.

I had shoulder surgery at the end of August and the surgery I had was not as complicated as hers and as of like… a month ago, I was only just starting to be able to handstand again but I couldn’t hang on a bar. I don’t know how she’s doing it.

This is a complete assumption, but I know Maddie has talked about wanting to go to medical school and a lot of students try to get college done in 4 years so they can get to medical school and graduate med by 26 years old. It may have been more of an academic decision so she could graduate on a certain timeline.
