Long time no see!! I’ve been very busy with school and such, but I’ve also been vending at a couple of smaller markets!! This is my setup for today!!
idk what beginner knitter need to hear this, but: with the exception of lace projects, usually when people talk about "blocking" their knitted objects they mean "getting it wet and laying it flat to dry".
99% of the time, you don't need a blocking board or pins unless you're doing lace. just get the thing wet to relax the stitches and the fiber (especially wool), squeeze out the excess liquid (no twisting/wringing) and then lay it flat. that's it.
the whole fabric will relax (probably more than you are expecting it to), your stitches will look cleaner, and the tension throughout the project will even itself out.
just get it wet, squeeze it out, and lay it flat. your projects will thank you!
IT IS DONE!!! I’m actually so happy with how this turned out. Everything was thrifted, except for the yarn that was already in my stash lol. I can’t wait to display my pins and keychains on it later!!!!
Long time no see, y’all!! I’m currently working on a pin/keychain display for my plethora of, yknow, pins and keychains!!! I plan to cover the entire frame in buttons, but I unfortunately ran out at this point in the project, so I’ve got to go to my local secondhand craft store when they open tomorrow. I will update once I get a lil farther!!
Also plz ignore the pet fur on the crochet panel lol, i was silly and put it on the couch near my pets. It has since been lint-rolled and cleaned of fur!!!
Update!! This is how far we’ve gotten since I’ve acquired more buttons!! I’m about to start back up since I took a pretty good break, another update will come soon!!!
If I take up a new fiber hobby surely that will solve all my problems

ⓘ Tip: while sewing, you can unlock scary sewing by losing your needle somewhere on your bed.
Adding this to my crochet blog too, but look at this costume I made for one of my plushies!! I’m still working on Yarn-for-Brains (see previous post lol), but since Halloween is approaching, I thought this would be a fun change of pace!!
Everyone say hi to yarn-for-brains! He acquired this name because he’s literally just stuffed with yarn scraps so far lol.
I was originally following a pattern from a book, but then I decided I really didn’t like how it was turning out so I just started to freehand everything else. I’ve only finished his head so far, but I’m going to work on him more later today. Updates to come!!!
Pros of being an arts-and-crafts person: you can make cool fun stuff all by yourself :3
Cons of being an arts-and-crafts person: you will inevitably find yourself doing weird shit in the middle of the night because you've been infected with the Crafting Itch™️
Me?? Holiday market prepping in September??? Way more likely than you’d think, tbh
Fun new hobby: Leaving a comment calling it out every time I find AI "crochet" on social media
I hate when people ask me how long it took me to crochet something I’ve made. Frankly, that’s none of my business. I put the yarn on the hook and worked on it whenever the spirit happened to take me to and then one day it was done. How long that process took is between the yarn and god; I want no part of it.
I made some Lily pad coasters as a commission for a friend of mine!!
Help I can’t stop making little critters out of felt!!
