Scrubbing his fingers through his hair, Daniel tried to make sense of all this new information.  His head was still swimming a bit, and he was quickly developing a migraine.  It was like being hit with a Goa’uld flash bomb.  Pressing his fingers into his eyes beneath his glasses, he sighed.

“Okay,” he said, “that doesn’t seem possible.  Not that I would know better anyway.  After some of the stuff I’ve seen, I should stop doubting stuff like this.”

He looked up at his doppelganger again and smiled wryly.  The chill was starting to get to him as well as the height of the sheer drop right behind him.  Whatever he’d planned to do when he’d come up here, the urge was gone now.  ”Why don’t we take this inside?” he suggested, “You can tell me all about your Doctor and stuff, alright?”  He pushed himself up slowly from the ledge.

"Right," he moved aside as the other Daniel made his way to the doorway leading inside. Following a few paces behind, Daniel tried to digest the information his alternate self had already provided. He wanted to know more, but it didn't seem like the other Dr. Jackson would be sharing any more possible futures with him.

From the sound of it, this universe hadn't been mixing as much as the Doctor said his was. Perhaps this particular universe was on the fringe of the multiverse...

"Have you... how do I put this..." He rubbed the side of his face in thought as they entered the apartment. "Have you met  anyone recently that didn't seem to fit in our world? Like didn't know what a Stargate was, or who the Goa'uld are?" He had to know if this was a part of the multiverse he was spread across.

Her smile became even brighter as she took his hand and shook it. “Any time. And I mean that. Any time. I’m glad to be of assistance, and I really would like to keep in touch. You’ve got my number, so you’d better use it. Even if it’s just for tea.” She winked at him and let go of his hand, slipping her own hands into her pockets as they walked toward the door of the TARDIS.

Daniel was still a little reluctant to leave, but he knew one of his other selves was getting closer. He was only a mile or so away and he had to go towards himself if he wanted to make sure he found himself... anyway, he knew he had to leave.

Finding himself at the door of Andromeda's TARDIS, Daniel looked back at her and smiled once again.

"Well, thank you once again Andromeda. I'm sure we'll meet again soon."

With that last farewell, Daniel took his leave and made for Leicester Square.

Blithely leading the way to the little diner she’d seen, Darcy had no idea that anything she’d said might be view skeptically and so turned to smile brightly at Daniel’s question.

“Oh, it’s just up here. See?” She pointed to a long, dingy corner window; the front of the place was around the curve, hidden from the main road. “No idea if they have anything edible, and the water probably comes from Jersey, but… they have seats, and there might be coffee.” She certainly hoped so, at least. The exterior wasn’t exactly promising.

Nudging past the heavy glass-and-metal doors, she waited for him to catch up, blinking slowly in the muted light.

“You kind of look like someone with a lot on his mind.” She pointed out, dropping into a nearby booth as a weary-looking waitress shuffled over with menus. “Anything you want to share?”

Daniel sat across from her and tried to organize his thoughts. He wasn't sure how to start. Take me to the Asgard didn't seem like a smart choice. He looked at her with his forehead a little scrunched in thought.

"Yeah... I was just thinking about Thor I guess." His face cleared a bit as he spoke. "Do you think there's any way I might be able to contact him?"

He took the menu offered to him and set it aside, not paying attention to the waitress's question.

“Yes,” she said with a nod. “Hopefully there are some interesting results.” She pocketed her sonic screwdriver and smiled. “Is there any other way I can be of assistance? I sort of hate to release you into the multiverse if there’s anything else I can do for you.”

Daniel looked down at his freshly clad feet and grinned. "You know, I think I'm good. But thank you for the shoes, food, and stimulating conversation." He laughed a bit at the thought of all the information they had sped through during their conversation.

"It's been a true pleasure and I hope to run into you again Andromeda." He held out his hand in a parting gesture.
