I wholeheartedly hope that generative AI will soon be cancelled, it is depriving us of the joys of creating while stealing from creatives. Yesterday I tried to write a paper for university without AI because I have been using it for a year as a way to improve the form of my papers and I have to admit that trying to do without made me realise how much I got slower at writing/thinking since using AI, as well as how much joy I get from writing and researching and proofreading my own papers on topic of my liking.
