I can’t see anything wrong with how I worded my post, and I really don’t think that’s the problem here!

Cats are small, much smaller than us humans. Smoke inhalation from any source (not just cannabis smoke) is going to have a comparatively greater effect on their lungs than on ours. Studies have shown that animals who live with smokers have higher incidence of respiratory problems than those in non-smoking homes. Smoke is smoke, and it isn’t just tobacco smoke that’s harmful. Regarding cannabis, it is toxic to cats and dogs. TOXIC. They are many times more severely affected by it than humans whether in smoke, vapor, or edible form. In my opinion that’s a pretty good reason to avoid using it around your pets.

I’m not the weed police, smoke all you want. Just don’t inflict it on those who aren’t able to consent or object to it.

What do you think of dog breeders?

Hello anonymous who can remain completely unaccountable for any heated discussion that this topic generates. Let’s first settle on a definition for ‘dog breeder’.

Someone who has two dogs of opposite sex that didn’t realize they could get pregnant at that age/time is not a breeder, they’re just foolish and failed to plan.

Somebody who decided to breed their staffies or pitties together because they’re blue and have big heads is not a breeder, they’re an idiot seeing dollar signs.

Someone who lets their bitch have two litters a year and has been mated to two or more males for each litter is not a breeder, they’re a major headache and thorn in my side. (But the reason I know you can get paternity tests for dogs done.)

Somebody who is dedicating their spare time to the breed, that dreams about the breed, that attends club meetings, shows and events, who owns only a few dogs but keeps tabs on how their puppies are doing, who keeps their retired breeding stock, is a breeder.

Their dogs are clean, well socialized, up to date on parasite control and never have matted coats. The breeder is usually close to broke, but never fails to pay for their veterinary services because their dogs are important to them, as individuals, not as collectables. If their dogs are not up to scratch, they are desexed. If the pregnancy was too hard on her, they spey that dog. They use proper terms for genitals. They like prizes, but the dogs come first. The dogs always come first.

Everyone else is just an annoyance who wants a ‘breeder discount’ or a puppy farm.
