I'm Ez (she/her), I live in the UK, and I'm in my 30's.

I'm a "dog person" and have spent most of my working and personal life with them.

Ember is my Lancashire Heeler, born August 2025. She's my first heeler so I'm by no means an expert, but I'm always happy to answer any questions about the breed!

This is a LGBTQ+ safe space and I don't want any TERFS or homophobes following me. No bootlickers.

I don't share or donate to fundraisers unless we're mutuals, and if I don't know you and you tag me in a fundraiser I'll block you.

I cycle through special interests so bear with me or block the tags if I'm getting into something.

My previous dogs were Mack the Bulldog and Breeze the Labrador, and family dogs Scooter the Labrador and Aysha the Border Collie. My parents still own a crusty white terrier called Bolt. Breeze was the original "all bark some bite" dog behind the blog name, and now Ember is living up to it!

I've fostered lots of rescue hamsters (and a rat and a duprasi) and had my own two Syrian boys, Cricket and Sue. I hope to have another hamster in the not too distant future.

Had a normal one today

Drunk gentleman with an ankle tag wandered in shirtless off the street, asked us to call an ambulance and give him first aid for his grazed knee (he was given this and had a taxi called to take him home). Not a client.

Cuddled an 8 week old Yorkie puppy.

The couple that smells of cat piss was back.

A mouse booked in for euthanasia is being given a chance with medication.

I have to write a statement about an abusive client from earlier this week.

My colleague's cat was discharged after a 48hr hospitalisation.

The same cat pissed directly through her wire carrier onto the dispensary floor while she was being discharged.

She's suddenly turned into a wild animal with a prey drive that wants to be Doing Things all the time. Still cute as hell.
