We were taught that we were unworthy, that we didn't matter, that this was normal, that this could only be done to us. We were made an example of what happens to you if your skin looks like this mans skin and you defy the skin of the men that are surrounding this tree. Yet we were continuously defied, and there was no punishment. We were forced to teach these consequences to our children and tell them that is okay to be mistreated and abused and we must suffer through it. We must accept these things as OUR reality and there is NOTHING that we can do about it! Now we can! Now we have rights and now we can enforce those rights! Now we can make examples to erase that mentality that was imprinted in our brains from years past! Now we can make statements that uplifts us and makes us feel like we ARE worthy, we DO matter! We shouldn't have to be careful or make extra provisions or change our names, or hide the music we listen to JUST because it might hinder our acceptance in this society and we will not! Why is there so much hate being spewed for sharing our greatness and passing the message of YOU CAN! Why are people upset about black empowerment so we can heal and those fears of being OURselves can go away? This is just the beginning. Let's all catch up to the TRUTH!

16 Year Old Black Girl Died in Custody in Louisville

6-year old Gynnya McMillen died in a juvenile detention center in Kentucky and her family is getting no answers and very little response from authorities.

This message came from her sister:

“I’m asking that everyone repost and share my sisters story on your pages and in any groups that will help us get it out there. My 16 year old sister died in custody of a detention center but they’re not giving out any info on how she was found and they’re saying here autopsy shows no cause of death. The news channels only played her story one time. We want justice and Kentucky isn’t giving it to us! Thanks for all the prayers and help.”
