They say out in the edge of town there lies a quaint little bookshop headed by a peculiar man along with his sister. Not much is known about them or the little bookshop that they keep.

Hushed whispers around town say that they were animals turned human by a witch, but some say that they were forged from the souls of the lost given a new body. No one can confirm such rumors other than them but no one dares to go to that little bookshop to ask them themselves.

They say if you ever want to seek knowledge about a certain subject you can go there to attain it. No matter how strange or peculiar they always seem to have an abundance of books about any given subject.

Traveling further into their bookshop is never advised. The halls seem to stretch neverendingly and the books seem to grow older the more you travel inwards. There are incidents of the customers getting lost within the halls and never coming back. The bookshop keepers never seem to mind them for they have already been warned. Though it seems like only the bookshop keepers know how navigate the seemingly neverending halls.

Little did the travellers know that this isn't a regular bookshop. All the worlds information is stored within this library. The history of the past, present, and even the future are stored within the books and encyclopedias kept within the seeminly infinite amount of bookshelves.

So dear reader if you ever are interested in anything regarding the inhabitants of the world, maybe you should visit the library once in a while. I'm sure the keepers won't mind answering any of your queries, though do be warned you might not get what you've asked for

•Evelyn can play some woodwind instruments but mostly plays the flute because it gives her nostalgia.

•Shes very geeky about fictional franchises. She had a collection of manga and comic books back at her home and tends to talk about it to Grim. She's too shy to talk about her geeky interests to Ace and Deuce though because she fears they wouldn't like that side of her so she portrayed herself as a preppy girl and keeps her geeky self a secret to anyone.

•A straight A+ and B+ student when it comes to STEM related subjects but is a C student in PE because she's unathletic. Her only saving grace in PE is she can run fast and survives track n field. But in terms of strength, she's hopeless.

•She tutors the students or works at Sam's mystery shop for a living because Dire Crowley doesnt give her enough allowance sometimes. She is in good terms with Sam and had formed a niece-uncle relationship with him.

•A bit of a theatre kid. She drops musical references and sings alot of musicals in Ramshackle dorm while doing chores. Evelyn was able to introducea lot of musicals to Grim and the ghosts so they can sing with her. This leaves the people going to the dorm confused.

•Miri is tone deaf in terms of singing but can play the guzheng because of Xander.

•She has a hard time memorizing orally despite her photographic memory being amazing. She tries to fix her oral memory problems because she cant always rely on her photographic memory even though it can save her grades. Her IQ is average.

•Miri has an inferiority complex because of her 52 unique sisters being the reason why she couldn't stand out. Compared to Miri, they are very colorful that you can't see Miri within the family.

•Due to her inferiority complex, her guilty pleasure is getting appreciated or given attention to her hard works and kindness. If anyone were to outshine it and the person took her friends attention to the point she got ignored, she'd lowkey get upset and tries to one up because she doesnt like being overshadowed or forgotten.

•She's a hopeless romantic. Miri had tried to pursue her crushes back at her home but gets rejected because of many reasons like she's immortal, too plain or they prefer her sisters more than her.

•She can play the violin while dancing around the stage smoothly. With this talent of hers, she was often assigned to be a performer for Mostro Lounge and gets paid for it weekly. Whenever she gets spaced out while playing, she unconsciously starts moving around confidently.

•She's very quick to memorize in rush hours. Auniro's a big procrastinator even if she tries to stop the habit. She can memorize enumerations in a short amount of time if she feels determined enough to memorize it. She can sometimes recall the smallest details in her life.

•Her logic is if she self-depreciates herself, she'd have good luck and vice versa. Auniro is an odd mix of realist, pessimist and an optimist depending on the people she's with.

•She's proud of her body figure because it makes her look youthful and clean but gets insecure about her face and height when pointed out. She wants to wear girly clothing but doesn't want to be look down as too feminine or lolita, in her mindset, she'd be seen as fragile or harmless.

•She tends to be ignorant around her surroundings, not wanting to get involved with trouble and drama which results to her being late of trends sometimes.

Book of Chenglei

Appearance of the Book:

The cover of the book is navy blue with a cosmic motif, it has two bookmarks which represents the moon, stars and sun which matches the motif of the cover.

The inside of the book is filled with scribbles and illustrations of the different lux spirits, what they do, their physical forms, their temperaments, and their weaknesses.

In the very last pages of the book, there is the glossary that the successors needed to know:

LUX SPIRITS are magical entities that have their own unique powers and physical form. They are the embodiment of the magical spells Chenglei Shuijing had learned to manifest. The drawings inside of the first 100 pages are Lux Spirits who are trapped inside of the book. Someday, they will become Lux Cards by the magician's Ribbonicles.

AFFINITY WITH LUX SPIRITS

LUX SPIRITS have their own nature and mind of its own. It will be difficult to have an affinity with them due to that, but they will accept their masters if they are kind or patient with them. Affinities are crucial to LUX SPIRITS. The stronger the affinity, the stronger the power and less mana draining the Lux Spirits will give to their masters. Successors are needed to bond with their LUX SPIRITS in order for them to automatically obey them and doesn't consume too much of the Successors' mana that is used for controlling the LUX SPIRITS.

Some LUX SPIRITS can drain too much of their master's energy which causes them to get exhausted. If a non successor were to use the cards, it will raise their chance of overblotting unless the non successor has an affinity with them then it has a lower chance of overblot.

The mandatory requirements to use the cards:

RIBBONICLES allows the user to summon ribbons that can act like limbs that can stretch, turn invisible and sharpen which are only the basics. This ability is very versatile as it can turn into alloy depending the user. It is deemed to have more complex use than expected depending on how creative the user is. The ribbons are attached to the back, connecting to the nervous system, which makes it an emotion detector to the user. Oddly enough, Ribbonicles carry Chenglei's energy.

RIBBONICLES are hereditary. It can be passed down to not only by birth or offspring, but people unrelated. In order to pass it down to other people, the user has to bind the person, the latter has to use their conscious to command the ribbons to unbind them then automatically, the ribbons attaches to their spine, connecting to the nervous system painlessly, but they are considered to be artificial and not natural ones. It can be removed by the host's will before reaching 10 years because that would make the ribbons permanent and natural.

RIBBONICLES also represent as Red Strings of Fate, they are created by Chenglei for his son and wife. Its mostly used for defense but his son turned it into a weapon as part of the defense mechanism. Since its hereditary by passing down, if the user passed it to their loved ones, that symbolizes the trust they have to them. RIBBONICLES however, isn't only that, the ability can work in many different ways if the user puts their mind into it.

CAPTURING PROCESS:

Ribbonicles is the only ability that can be used to capture the Lux Spirits by binding them and chants an incantation to turn them into a Lux card.

SEALING PROCESS:

After turning the Lux Spirit into a Lux Card, you have to give the Lux Card a name or a title then write it in the cards so it will be permanently sealed and wont escape again. If you write your name in the Lux Card, you are monopolizing the use of the card as it will not let anyone use the card when it is owned by someone else exclusively. However, even if you write your name in the cards with permanent marker, it is still erasable.

SUMMONING LUX SPIRIT PROCESS:

Typically, you can pull out the Lux card and discretely summon and ordering them via thoughts but for beginners, they need to have a wand, conductor or staff in order to summon one Lux card or else they might accidentally summon more than two Lux cards.

GUARDIAN OF THE BOOK:

A white lion with angel wings named Sorin will be awakened once the book is open. He will act as a Lux Detector and a walking Lux Spirit Dictionary to aid the successors' Lux Spirit Hunting. He is able to control some of the Lux Spirits since they are under his jurisdiction. Sorin is also a Materialized Lux Spirit known as the Sunlight Lux Spirit.

• Evan is a polite and enigmatic young man who has a mischievous behavior and demeanor around him. However polite in speaking most of the time, he can be very foul mouthed and blunt in a taunting way to those whom he finds easy to pick on and easy to anger. However, despite his words are harsh, he does not seek enjoyment in being a bully to those who are mentally and emotionally weaker than him.

• He's significantly more knowledgeable and mature than most people at a very young age. He is very skilled in the athletic, academic, culinary and artistic department. This is mostly because he has memories of his past life who was an immortal powerful magician, but he treats his past life self as a different person who he shares memories with, even showing a distastefulness towards person that he doesn't want people to consider his past self to be him.

• Evan has strong interests with superstitions. He even sometimes makes his own superstitions to gullible people for his own amusement. He would be usually awake in unholy hours reading horror novels or watching horror movies with a smile. There were rumors in Octavinelle that there were anomalies going around in the dorm at night sometimes.

• Being a fan of superstitions, Evan is highly interested and skilled with Cartomancy, favoring more onto using Tarot Cards as he likes taking a peak of the future via cards whilst being vague about it since he likes foreshadowing with an unpredictable outcome.

• He's canonically a demisexual, meaning it would take time for him to fall or grow attach to someone, hence he has only grew romantic feelings for his childhood friend whom he holds dear. In his upbringing, Evan is a menace to those who aren't close to him like the ones who lives in his hometown, not because of resentment, but rather he likes coming off as a "Lil smug shithead" to the people who he talks to most of the time.

Summary of the Origins

10 hours before the 3 successors arrived,

A young woman named Sage, was previously the keeper of the library but as the sands of time passed by her remaining life was coming to an end, she had to give up her key to the library back to Duo as he chooses to find a new master once shes gone. During that discussion Oracle announces that in 10, the successors will arrive and come to the library to unlock their destiny.

Mikio, a snow moth demon and an artifact collector of the library, had come back with Noire and brought along a radioactive tarantula with him, much to Kira and Lilian's dismay. After a moments of bantering, Mikio's tarantula had escaped from his cage. Mikio wanted to find it but Oracle stopped him and told him that his pet will come back in 10 hours.

10 hours have passed.

Three human girls, Auniro, Em, and Taryn, walked around the bay walk after their anime convention adventure. Their summer vacation had just started today so had decided to spend time together, just the three of them. They were only 16-17 years old at the time.

Auniro had noticed Blanc in his white scottish fold form and decided to follow it out of curiousity. Blanc had felt uncomfortable with Auniro so he immediately rushed to the library, which in turn made the three girls follow after him. Once inside, the girls ended up splitting up and looking around the library to find a book that piqued their interest.

However, the library was more peculiar than they expected.

Auniro had ended up walking to the far end of the library's shelves and discovered a navy blue book with a stellar motif called the Book of Chenglei. Curiously, she skimmed through the book and before she can check who the author was, Em arrived and found her.

Before Em found Auniro

She walked around the bookshelves and a book caught her eye, taking the book from the bookshelf she inspected the intricate cover, unknowingly she discovered the Chuangzao Book. Seeing this Sage appeared before her and told her that she can have it for free which Em happily accepted. She lead her to the check out and while bagging the book slid in the library's key, making her it's new owner. After that she then left to find Auniro.

With Taryn

She was silently looking at the books, pulling then out and inspecting them only to return them back, unknowingly she stumbled upon Mikio's pet tarantula who then bit her ankle.

Swatting the tarantula away, she checked her wound. Em then texted her where she and Auniro were so they can meet up.

Once the three girls united, Auniro joked about reenacting an anime scene from her childhood show, a bit of joking around she then proceeded to do so.

In the process she had accidentally activated the Gust card which had acted as a catalyst for the Lux Spirits from the book to be scattered and released. The girls stared in disbelief from what they had witnessed only for it to get worst after a cute small white lion with angel wings woke up and greeted them. Awakening from his slumber the small lion introduced himself as Sorin, but as he looked at the book he was shocked once he saw the spirits gone.

Oracle arrives and had offered the girls and Sorin to follow him to discuss on what happened just recently, the girls hesitantly obliged and followed Oracle to the center of the library. Once they had arrived, Sorin informed that Xander will arrive in the library in shortly so the Sorin will have to explain to Auniro, Em and Taryn about the Book of Chenglei and the Chuangzao Book.

According to Sorin, the Tang Dynasty's powerful magician, Chenglei Shuijing, has foretold about his death and his powers will be inherited by three girls. He decided that he should make the Book of Chenglei as a record for all of the magical powers he has and the Chuangzao Book so his godlike powers would be kept inside the book.

Xander arrived after Sorin explained about their position as being successors. He wasnt very fond of the fact about the girls being the successors but digressed and proceeds to explain their roles. He had given them the instructions and information about the Lux Spirits and gave them Ribbonicles.

In a very coincidental timing, the girls had faced the two Lux Spirits which both are captured by Auniro. The girls are allowed to share eachother's cards they had captured and work as a trio. Xander was a bit relieved but still looks forward to their progress.

4 months have passed after that event, Auniro, Em and Taryn had a lot of adventures involving Lux Spirit hunting, befriending Miri who is Xander's younger sister, and getting familiars. Their adventure was however, observed by someone far away and had taken an interest with them.

And finally......

Auniro, Taryn, Alecks, and Miri individually got an invitation from a prestigious magician training school called Night Raven College, which is also where Xander studies. The four girls are chosen to be exchange students as test runs to make the school become available to girls aswell.

Would their school life be normal? would it be filled with hijinks? School drama? Or maybe even meeting new people that are actually important to their roles?

Who knows, only time will tell. Are you ready to follow their journey?

• Wears coloured contacts and switches them monthly in order to confuse others on what's her real eye colour. She finds it amusing that people would look at her in confusion when they see she has a new eye colour

• Often wanders around school not because she wants to but because she's actually just lost

• Because she's a tree nymph she bleeds white sap. This white sap is literally just white sap which means if she needed a blood tranfusion she'd need sap from a very particular tree in her region.

• If she had to describe her aesthetic it would have to be dark academia. She loves to wear turtlenecks and trenchcoats even in the summer

• Due to her upbringing she had to work multiple side jobs in order to get by life, this made her develop multiple skills and made her a jack of all trades. Though her favourite skill she acquired is photography

• Mumbles a lot

• Her footsteps are really silent so people are often surprised when she suddenly appears infront of them

• Has a ton of random skills, examples range from sewing to lock picking to floriography (pretty much a jack of all trades)

• Cooks but will only cook for those who she trusts, meaning that if she offers to cook for you she considers you as someone she values/trusts

A very powerful magic that allows the user to summon up the dead's soul and transfers them to a new body, this can also be used with the living being able to switch souls of a different body or just outright tearing them away from the body and destroying them, this can cause the person to immediately die

• the Alderidge family is a family of mages who specialize with communing with the dead. They are excellent necromancers and mediums. They are often sought out by people who want to commune with their dead relatives

• Alex is the middle child of said family.

• she doesn't like communing that much with other people, her parents didn't mind it that much so she never really got pushed out of her comfort zone

• because of this her childhood was mostly spent in isolation only communicating with her siblings, she had a lot of time to master and refine her skills as a mage

• her family hired her private tutors, the best in the land to help her improve, out of her siblings she has the best affinity towards necromancy, though she rarely uses it

• out of her siblings she's the closest to willow since they're both introverts. Willow was the one who first introduced Alex to the internet and gaming, because Alex held Willow in such high esteem she tried to undetstand how online gaming worked and soon got the hang of it and enjoyed playing it

The user can create streams of moonlight energy to use as a weapon. which can form into other shapes, like a bow that can fire moonlight arrows, aswell as barriers and shields. The unique magic is much more stronger when the moon is present and clear.

• Xander is a stoic and aloof young man and the 2nd eldest son of the late Chenglei Shuijing. He has a twin brother named Jin-xin, also known as Sorin, who is the eldest in terms of mental age and birth. Out of the 54 materialized lux spirits and are children of Chenglei and Airen, Xander is the eldest and only son of the Shuijing family while Sorin was away.

• Although he is distant from people, Xander wouldn't ignore people who would strike a conversation with him and would respond to their questions with a calm attitude. He has a sense of quiet politeness towards others but if provoked, Xander would give a silent glare and ignore the person annoying him or instantly bind them down with his ribbons to throw them somewhere else.

• When he's inside his own comfort zone which is also known as the bonsai zen mode, Xander becomes softspoken and showed a gentle nature within him that he is much more sociable which is evidence to his former personality after a certain incident in his life. He is very open to mention and talk about his sisters with admiration and love for them that he has bonsais that has their favorite plants.

• Unlike Miri who loves helping people, Xander prefers people to rely on their own just like how he prefers to rely on himself however he does help people when its urgent and necessary.

• Xander doesn't trust people easily that he doesn't have much friends after the incident he had but he wouldn't mind gaining acquaintances aslong as he doesn't disclose to them about his vulnerabilities and past.

• Due to having a lot of sisters with different interests, hobbies and talents, he is very flexible and open minded to many kinds that he atleast has simple knowledge about that certain topic to the point where his knowledge on doing gymnastics, martial arts and ballet are rooted from his mother and his sisters. Most importantly, he grew to love raising bonsais because of his sister, Juniper convinced him to make it as a hobby for him to be at ease.

• Hailing from the Rose Kingdom Louis Quartz is an enigmatic young man, not much is known about his personal life as he tries to keep it as secret and discrete as possible

• Students would usually get along with him due to his go with the flow personality. Depending on the person Louis would adjust his personality

• Some would say that he radiates an off vibe, but they can't pin point what exactly gives off that vibe. Some say maybe it's his small smile that seems to always be there that feels both natural and forced at the same time, some would say it's his eyes that seem to hold malicious intent whenever they talk to him, or the way he speaks as if he already knows what's going to happen and is teasing what's to come next or the way he seems to just oh so casually mentions a detail of a person's life that they don't recall telling him

• Some of the more perceptive students stay away from him and avoid interacting with him at all cost. The other students just think they're over reacting since Louis has yet to do something that would cause the others to view him like that

• Louis doesn't really pay any mind to them since they aren't really of any interests to him

• Even if he has a go with the flow type of personality he's actually quite a skilled mage and good student. He's quite active whenever it comes to discussions and lectures and even gladly takes the role of the group leader whenever there are group activities

• He's not a social butterfly but he'd gladly be the first one to approach a person and talk to them

• And that's how he met Em, they're from the same class and her being the loner that she is didn't talk or speak to anyone much

• For some strange reason Louis seems to gravitate towards the girl, others have noticed and have called him out for it but he keeps brushing it off saying he was just there to look out for his 'younger twin sister'

girl-in-the-tower: Hello!! I was wondering, could I possibly get my OCs judged by the keepers? Like I love how Alice and Duo interact and I'm kinda curious to see what they would think of Kore and Theo? If not, maybe Amy and Evelyn's impressions of these two?

• She is just like Em and Auniro, who being chosen as an exchange student in Night Raven. She was confuse at first and didn't know what to do at a school made for mages.

• Taryn is kind and motherly to her friends. But she will be mean to them with no reason even though deep inside she cares for them. She is calm and quiet to the people she isn't close to and doesn't know.

• She's smart but she doesn't admit it. She thinks that she isn't good enough and gets insecure. She gets salty easily, she just put a force smile so that her friends and other people doesn't know that she is salty and she nags to her friends if they've done wrong things.

Unique Magic: Ribbon's Rend

It allows the user to summon ribbons that can act like limbs that can stretch, turn invisible and sharpen like knives. This unique magic is very versatile as it can turn into alloy depending on the user. The ribbons are attached to the back, connecting to the nervous system, which makes it an emotion detector to the user.

• Auniro is a headstrong and open-minded girl who thrives to understand people more so she can emotionally and mentally support them. However, despite her sensitive trait, she's very blunt and sarcastic with her words that she tends to sass the person however this is purely harmless.

• She's quite a tsundere, getting mad easily when she gets teased about her height and resorts to hitting the person with a slap. She only slaps people who can handle her slap, she doesn't like hurting people who are easily injured since she's actually a softie deep inside who only has a short temper due to getting picked on alot when she was in Elementary School.

• Surprisingly, Auniro is very self aware with everything if she puts an effort into noticing her surroundings since most of the time, she rather alienates herself from the problems around her than get involved that she became unaware of what happened while being inside her own world. Ironically, she dislikes drama but she is willing to hear and see it as an observer.

•Generally, shes quiet and calm but she's surprisingly talkative when someone approaches her first or if its her friends. In acquaintance or close friends stage, she's kind and polite to them, often speaking in a formal tone with them. But in best friends stage, she's very sadistic and witty to them, making unconventional jokes and open to talking about anything because of how unfazed she is in some situations.

•Auniro is a fast runner and is very hyperactive when she's outside, always running around full of energy that others cant keep up because she's a shut in. She gets excited whenever there's obstacles or giant playgrounds nearby that she automatically wants to try it.

•She can play the violin while dancing around and works as an entertainer in Mostro Lounge. She often suddenly spaced out while playing and unconsciously dances to the rhythm. When she's bored and feel comedic, Auniro tends to play the memest songs or even ridiculous ones. Not being an expert violinist, Auniro dislikes and will sob over music pieces with complicated composition of notes.
