apparently I have 0 chill and have a lot of thoughts about Kagome being the first person to just accept Inuyasha as he is (besides his parents).

When people try to argue that Inuyasha belongs with Kikyo, and that he still loves her more than Kagome, remember this scene here.

Sure you could argue that he's wanting to find out what they talked about because he's a "two-timer". And Kagome isn't weak because she's not telling him everything. She knows that his feelings are complicated, even though hers necessarily aren't.

If he was so love blind with Kikyo, why ask if she was going to hurt Kagome. And then there's this banger of a scene:

Kagome wants clarity on what his feelings are. If he says yes, she's probably going to stay quiet because she doesn't want to tattle on her. If he said no, then there's a chance that she'd tell him the truth.

But he reveals that it wasn't the thought of Kikyo that helped him, it was the thought of her. The thought of Kikyo made him want to die. The thought of Kagome made him want to live.

This is a boy who's trying very hard to figure out how he feels, and he's asking Kagome to have some faith in him while he does.

Inuyasha can't fathom that someone insulting or making fun of him would just send her over the edge. Someone genuinely cared and loved him, and he couldn't comprehend that this was enough to be legitimately mad about.

Which speaks volumes to how much he was abused in the past by others.
