Hello young one's, my name is Min.
My name means black.
I am a shadowy creature, that can morph into anything or anyone's shadow.
But there is no need to fear me.
I have been on this planet for millenniums, and I enjoy helping people.
Yi enters Min's cave, knocking on the stone wall.
"Min?"

{Min is immediately on Yi as soon as she enters the cave. They're bigger as they emerge from the shadows and hold a more threatening stance. They stare at Yi for a moment before getting smaller- back to their normal size.}
Yi yelps out for a second, staring at Min.
"Hey Min... shell, you scared me for a moment...."
Mercury squeals and laughs out of his carrier, looking delighted to Min.
{Min stares at Yi still. They seem quiet- even by Min's standards, they're quiet.}
My apologies, young one.
"Are you feeling well?"
She comes closer.
Mercury still looks curious to Min, holding a hand out.
{Min stares at Mercury before offering their hand to the hatchling. They focus on Mercury and don't exactly answer the question. Or say anything, for that matter.}
"...Min....?"
She watches the shadow with worry.
Mercury immediately grabs their hand and noms it. He squeaks happily.
Mmmmm...
I apologize, Yi, I'm....
{But Min trails off and doesn't finish his sentence.}
She just sighs. Seemingly, they forgot how to talk after the last visit. But soon Yi smiles softly.
"I saw you on our wedding. Thank you for coming."
Ya, saya nampak kekecohan dari jauh.
[Yes, I saw the commotion from afar.]
Namun saya berterima kasih kerana datang. Awak kawan saya, Min. Saya gembira melihat awak di sana."
She churrs softly.
"Do you need a break? I can busy Crystal for a while."
[Still I thank you for coming. You're my friend, Min. It made me happy to see you there.]
{Min goes quiet again, and they look away, staring in towards the deeper area of the cave where Crystal currently rests. They seem distracted.}

Crystal seolah-olah menjadi sebab saya masih di sini.

[Crystal seems to be the reason I'm still here.]
She hums quietly.
"I'm sorry I wasn't here for you..."
Yi goes deeper into the cave, waiting for Min.
"Come on, we will try to speak to each other. It will help you."

{Min seems to be having an easier time talking in Malay vs in English. Their corroding mind finding it easier to cling onto their original language rather than a later learned language.}

Yi sits down next to Crystal and opens her jacket. From underneath her jacket, Xenon slowly looks out.

{Min watches Xenon as she looks around. Crystal starts to stir from her nap at the commotion.}
She coos quietly, patting Crystal gently.
Xenon slowly sits down next to Yi, still looking around. She chirps quietly, as she sees Min.
Mercury noms on his own hand, just happy being here.
{Min watches Xenon before making himself smaller. Crystal yawns, stretching as she rubs and opens her eyes. She starts at Yi before smiling and giggling.}
Yi!
"Hello sweetheart."
Yi coos even more, smiling back.
Xenon smiles at Min before focusing on Crystal.
"Baby~!"
Bayi!
{Crystal giggles and crawls up to Xenon and Mercury. Min hums quietly.}
[Crystal: Baby!]
"Anda benar-benar telah berkembang sejak kali terakhir… Crystal bercakap dengan baik."
Yi shows Mercury more to Crystal.
Mercury squeaks, trying to grab Crystal.
Xenon sniffs on Crystal, churring.
[You have really grown since the last time… Crystal speaks so fine.]
{Crystal coos, reaching to Mercury as well.}
Indeed.

Mercury holds on to Crystal, not letting go. He chirps happily, his feet gently kicking.
Xenon watches.
"Mercury. Brother!"
{Crystal giggles more, trying to mimic Mercury. Though in the end, she ends up saying the word "Chirp" instead of actually making the sounds like Mercury does.}
Chirp! Chirp!
{Min gently pats and pets Crystal's head, to which she giggles at.}
Yi giggles and Mercury laughs delighted upon hearing the "chirps" from Crystal.
"Anda telah melakukan kerja yang baik, Min. Dia belajar cepat kerana awak."
[You did a fine job, Min. She's learning fast because of you.]
Yet with every step she takes forward, I myself take a step back...
{Min looks out towards the tunnel and cave entrance for a moment, their tail swishing slightly- wait, when did their tail come back?- before they focus back on the group.}
She looks at Min with a worried expression.
"....Do you want to go out alone for a while? Or do you want me to stay here with you for a few hours?"

{Crystal proudly shows off Mercury, smiling happily about her new claim.}
[Min: Your presence is greatly appreciated.]
[Crystal: Dad, look!]
Mercury doesn't mind at all, cooing sweetly. He tries to nom Crystal's hands.
"Kemudian saya tinggal bersama awak, selagi awak perlukannya."
[Then I stay with you, as long as you need it.]
{Min gives Yi a kind smile before giving a soft smile at Crystal.}
Ya, saya nampak.
{Crystal giggles, patting and petting Mercury's shell.}

Yes, he is a turtle.
Kerja bagus, Crystal.
{Crystal squeals happily at the praise.}
[Min: Yes, I see. Good job, Crystal.]
Mercury giggles and doing chirps as Crystal pets his shell.
Yi chuckles, taking Mercury. She holds him, so Crystal can still pet him.
"Crystal, there."
She scritches a specific point on his shell, and Mercury does happy butt wiggles now. He coos happily.
{Crystal gasps and her eyes go big before she starts to pet Mercury's shell in the same spot Yi had.}
Mercury even does more wiggle now. His little tail wags.
Yi smiles, watching. At some point, she takes Mercury more in her arms, so he can take a break.
He giggles, looking around again.
{Crystal giggles more before trying to play with Xenon. Happy baby.}

"...Min....?"
She watches the shadow with worry.
Mercury immediately grabs their hand and noms it. He squeaks happily.
Mmmmm...
I apologize, Yi, I'm....
{But Min trails off and doesn't finish his sentence.}
Yi enters Min's cave, knocking on the stone wall.
"Min?"

{Min is immediately on Yi as soon as she enters the cave. They're bigger as they emerge from the shadows and hold a more threatening stance. They stare at Yi for a moment before getting smaller- back to their normal size.}
Yi yelps out for a second, staring at Min.
"Hey Min... shell, you scared me for a moment...."
Mercury squeals and laughs out of his carrier, looking delighted to Min.
{Min stares at Yi still. They seem quiet- even by Min's standards, they're quiet.}

"Are you feeling well?"
She comes closer.
Mercury still looks curious to Min, holding a hand out.
