I love John being very ominous/spooky.

Like, he's good now. He loves Arthur and Faroe. He's an aspiring writer who gets fan mail. Hes adjusting to this new life and loves living like a human.

He's also still a fragment of the King in Yellow. He still has an evil laugh, spooky voice, yellow eyes, and unnerving abilities. Hell, my design of John has literal devil horns and 4 eyes/arms. Anyone who isn't already familiar with him is gonna automatically think he's evil as hell.

But no, hes just a silly little guy.

I completely agree. I want him to have an entire fandom of hyperfixated fans. John getting sent fanart and fanfics would be so good. Unfortunately, Ao3 and the internet doesn't exist yet.

It'd be funny as hell tho to have John just scroll through the Ao3 tags. Imagine John 90ish years later discovering that his books' got rediscovered by a bunch of people online and an entirely new fandom has surfaced to all talk about this vintage book series (kind of like how the KiY stories has regained alot of popularity lately). All while the author is still around, just watching everything from a distance.

the beauty of early 2000s shows is that they just... stuck to the bit. You watch this show to see a neurodiverent man solve crime with his best friend, you will get that for 8 seasons. We said this show would be about an ex-spy and his employer who built an AI and the people they save. They will do it even when they admit in the show it makes no sense because that's what you signed up for. Leverage commited so much that they got a modern version that still does the same thing instead of being 6 episode seasons about one big con.

I miss "filler" episodes, but they aren't filler because that's what you signed up for! that's why you watch the show! to see them do the thing you started watching the show for!

just two guys in their thirties that wake up one day with no memory, they meet a non-human being with who they form a beautiful bond while they theach the audience the importance of friendship. They also have a lot of aromantic allegations and no canon lover at the moment the story takes place. Their last romantic relationship didn't end well and they are commonly shipped with their non human friend... well they are actually shipped with anyone that breathes the same air as them.
