you sit down on one of the couches at the lobby and look around you, the whole lobby screams expensive, you watch a few people come in the hotel with a bellboy pushing two carts while they walk along leisurely, you frown a bit at the sight when you suddenly hear someone approaching you, you turn your head and see a smiling gunner “hey, how you been it’s been ages” “hi gunner im good thanks, you?” “Yeah I’m good, just a little stressed cause of the tour and all but I’m good” he looks at your bag “that all you got?” “Yep” “oh… okay, well leme show you your room” he grabs your suitcase “oh it’s okay I can take it” “nah, you must be tired from that long ass flight, I’ll take it, it’s light for me anyway” you follow him to the lift and he scans a card before pressing on floor 8, you arrive and follow him out round a few corners before he finally stops at a door "this yours, mine is on your left and amari is on your right, here are your keys" "ah great thanks" "no problem, need anything else?" "i meannnn, ima kinda hungry, do you know of any place that i can get food from around here?" "yeah theres this place kinda nearby, ill come with you, im hungry too" "okay great just gimmie like ten mins to freshen up" "aight bet"
twelve minutes later you step out of the hotel room after putting yourself together and see nett leaning on the wall opposite yours “oh your here” “yep, you ready to go?” “Yep”
you walk to the elevator and press the button for the ground floor, neither of you talk, not sure what to say, you brother had talked about him before and he’s been to your house when you were younger but you never hung out with them and you always tuned out whatever your brother said, not caring about the adventures he goes on
“so, you a photographer. What your normally take pictures of?” “Like casually or?” He shrugs “I mean people hire me to take photo shoots, I’ve been payed to take pics for a magazine, this is my first time doing a tour” “right…what’s your fav type of photography?” “Probably just things that I just see in my daily life, I always have a digi cam with me, got given it by my grandma when I was like fifteen, used to be here before” “that’s cool” “yep…how we getting to the restaurant?” “Walking, it’s only ten minutes…that okay with you?” “Yep, I like walking so I’m chill” “great”
ten minutes later you enter a fancy looking restaurant and are shown to a table “what you gon get” “I don’t know” you say looking through the menu “the garlic lobster pasta sounds good” “yeah it does, I’ll get that too” “great….” He orders the food and some Red wine to go with it, the waiter comes and pours it for the both of you "you and your brother not very close huh?" "i mean, kinda, we get along okay, i suppose we just dont have much time to hang out together and dont have much in common anymore, people changing and all that" "yeah, i remeber when we first became friends he used to talk about you quite a lot, now he barely ever mentions you...kinda sad" "yeah...but hey we might get closer now that we are going to be toghether for a while” “yeah, that’s true” your food is placed In front of you, the both of you eat in comfortable silence, the food is exactly what you needed and the wine is helping you wind down “you know, your actually quite cool” “…thanks?” “Oh I don’t mean- what I mean is that when I was younger I guess I never thought about getting to know you, you were kinda just like, I dunno an accessorie to my friend, you know?” “Yeah, guess I get that, you seem pretty cool too” he smiles and you can’t help but think about how pretty he looks like that. Fuck, no don’t think that, he is your brothers friend
the rest of your time at review restaurant goes well, you end up ordering a dessert and sharing it, when you mention wanting to go on a walk he offers to come with you, saying he knows a nice rout to walk along, you end up walking together for hours, chatting and laughing endlessly, you even found a cute photo place and took a few pictures of him
when you finally get back to your hotel room your exhausted, you realize that your phone is dead so you plug it in, when it turns on again you see multiple notifications from your brother… fuck
