Right that update i promised you all, this might be a long one.
First off me and my partner moved into a house, weâre renting but itâs nice and weâve got the dog. Yeah thatâs a thing Iâve got a dog, heâs adorable and cuddles up with me when he knows Iâm not doing so good.
Second off I got a lot of complications following a cervical punch biopsy where one of the nerves got nicked and am still dealing with the nerve pain from it 4 months on.
Following on from that Iâve been getting super dizzy and turns out Iâve got Eustachian tube dysfunction (itâs all the pain and symptoms of an ear infection without the infection) which is actually super painful but now Iâve got an answer.
Hopefully Iâll be back to ânormalâ in a couple of weeks.
Sending lots of spoons

Sorry for the long absence, lifeâs been hectic and Iâll do a full update soon.
However Iâm still off work sick and have decided to start selling my art on Redbubble:
artTAZtic is an independent artist creating amazing designs for great products such as t-shirts, stickers, posters, and phone cases.
Please check it out, I know not everyone can buy things and things might not be to everyoneâs taste but even shop views help if you can.
Thanks everyone and sending lots of spoons

why is it like this
[id: a tweet by Joanna No Banana (@/JoannaNoBanana) which reads:
Something a lot of non chronically ill people don't understand is that we don't wait for zero symptoms to do things.
We just wait until it's manageable enough to get to do these things.
Even in those situations, we tend to overly push ourselves and need to recover afterwards.

being disabled is so fun because sometimes you can just be going about your day like normal and with zero warning your body will be like you have to lay down Right Now or you will pass out

sending love to everyone who wants to do better but can't find the energy to make the necessary changes. sending love to everyone who wonders if their exhaustion is permanent. sending love to everyone who's tired of feeling stuck.
It's a lot healthier to go for a daily walk than to sign up for a gym membership you won't be using because you hate that kind of exercise. It's a lot healthier to eat a frozen meal than to skip a meal because you were too tired to cook something healthy. It's a lot healthier to take a quick shower than to procrastinate an elaborate routine for days. Don't aim so high that you won't be hitting anything!
this is actually really helpful and affirming thanks
do able-bodied bodied people not understand that if disabled people call out of work every time they don't feel good that we would call out of work every fucking day?
like honestly. what do you think being disabled means?
Some people donât understand and/or recognize the immense amount of strength it takes to pull yourself out of a dark place mentally. So if you did that and defeated depression, anxiety, or self-hate Iâm so proud you.
saying âcan u notâ to inanimate objects that are just following the laws of physics but in, like, inconvenient ways
âew thick water gross and weirdâ ITS NOT FUCKING FOR YOU!!!!! âew why buy pre-cut vegetables when you can cut your ownâ ITS NOT FUCKING FOR YOU!!!!!! âI donât need a device to help me put my socks on Iâm not lazyâ ITS NOT FUCKING FOR YOU !!!!!!!!! âWhy drink liquid meals when you can cook themâ ITS!!!!! NOT!!!!!! FOR!!!!!! YOU!!!!!!!!
Also, don't let the internalized ableism stop you from acquiring things that make your life easier! If you NEED those pre cut veggies, shredded cheeses, bread/cake/cookie kits get them! If you need liquid nutrition buy it! If you need a sock grabber or shoe horn or hand warmers use them! If you need mobility support of any kind, find and use them. We have to stop listening to the shame uncaring, mean-assed people have ground into us; we deserve to live too.
I don't know who needs to hear this but:
-"it only hurts a little" is still pain
-"I can ignore it" is still pain
-"I can cope with/manage it" is still pain
-"it's bearable" is still pain
-"I can push through it" is still pain
-"it doesn't hurt that much" is still pain
-"it doesn't stop me from doing x" is still pain
You don't need to be in agonizing pain to be in pain.
if u are reading this i am pouring positive vibes on u from a lil watering can
Right so Iâve been signed off work for another 2 weeks following complications from my cervical punch biopsy.
If you donât know what that is itâs when they basically take a bit of your cervix tissue using a glorified hole punch and then send you on your way.
Anyways 2 weeks on itâs been decided I have an infection and me being in and out of hospital with pain, a temperature and nausea finally needed some antibiotics.
Fingers crossed Iâm better soon but Iâm more than happy to write some posts about this stuff if people are interested.
