Danganronpa THH Prologue part 1: Welcome to Hope's Peak Academy
The massive high school towers over all the other buildings in this bustling urban area. It's like the school stands at the center of the entire world.
It brings in top students from every field imaginable. A government-funded school of privilege. They say that if you come here and manage to graduate, you'll be set for life. With hundreds of years of tradition, it sends the cream of the crop into the work force every year. It was built to raise hope in the nation's future. Which makes Hope's Peak a pretty fitting name.
No ordinary student can go here, at least not without a price. But for the true experience there are two things you need...
One, you have to already be attending high school.
Two, you have to be the very best at what you do, A.K.A. being an Ultimate. The only way in this way is if you're scouted by the school itself.
And at the gates of this Ultimate High School was me.
My name is Torikae Awaremi, I'm one of the new students at Hope's Peak Academy, and my Ultimate ability is the Ultimate Empath.
For those who don't know, an Empath is someone who has high amounts of empathy and can physically feel others emotions. And while I would say I'm an Empath I wouldn't really consider myself to be an Ultimate. Really I feel like they only scouted me because of the incident a month ago.
I don't really want to get into it but after the incident they did research on me and told me that my ability for empathy was greater than anyone else's, making me the Ultimate Empath.
I didn't really trust them, but I decided to accept the offer to go to hope's peak, mainly because my parents wanted me to go, they said that going here would guarantee me for success, and I think I would feel guilty if I told them no.
It should be fine though, one of my best friends will be attending with me, I can also keep a close eye on them to make sure they'll be okay and won't do something bad, again.
But I can't just stand here thinking to myself now can I?
After taking a deep breath I walked pass the gates, towards the door to the main hall.
The meeting for my class is at 8:00 but my parents insisted that I should go early and now I'm arriving at…
Let me check my phone for a second… 7:11, so I have 49 minutes to spare.
As I walked to the door I didn't really see anyone else in there. I only saw one other kid in there, but I couldn't get a good look at him because he was facing the other way. The only thing I did see was that he had somewhat spiky hair. I was about to open the door but…
Something strange started to happen.
All of a sudden I got a splitting headache, my vision became warped, and I felt dizzy. I tried to call to the kid inside for help.
And when I woke up, I was someplace else, a place that might as well have been Hell.
A place filled with Despair.
It may not be much now but I think it's a decent start, let me know in the comments what you think?
