Just used our delta miles to cover our flights for the cruise in October!!! Direct flights to Orlando thank goodness!!!
We’ll be flying home in my husband’s birthday but I know he’ll be happy to spend most of the day with his favorite aunt!
Our city is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and they want to make a time capsule to be opened in 2076. They made this a post on Facebook asking for idea of what to put inside.
My favorite is “resignation letters” closely followed by “dirt from where a park should have been built before it was illegally sold to a data center.” 💀

I was able to book everything we wanted except a Palo lunch (we’re doing Enchante instead) and a cabana at castaway cay which was a long shot anyway lol
I am so excited for our fourth Disney cruise!!! The treasure looks absolutely beautiful!
We booked the pirate makeover for br for pirate night. I love that he enjoys still being a kid! He’ll get to pick out a pirate outfit and everything. I have pirate Minnie ears and a themed shirt we got on our first cruise. Husband has a Captain Hook shirt to wear!

Our neighbors (renters) across the street now have EIGHT cars. Three at a time in the driveway at most. Currently one is parked the wrong direction so close to our driveway I can barely back out without hitting them. I am so over it. I hate that our neighborhood has become overrun with people who don’t give a single fuck about anything but themselves. It’s the fifth or sixth group of renters since we moved here three ish years ago. I had to approach them on Friday because their music was so loud in their garage I heard it throughout my entire house. Every cuss word for over an hour. They weren’t very nice but did turn it down after I gave them a jar of homemade jam.
I get the economy is awful but having 8+ adults living in a three bedroom house is too much. Literally every few weeks a new car appears and more people move in.
They have so many cars we can’t even put our trash and recycle bins in front of our own house on trash day.
This neighborhood is becoming so overrun with street parking we can’t even drive on the correct side of the road.
I hate it here.
I’m staying up til 11 to book our excursions and stuff for our cruise.

Our current city is the face of anti data centers pretty much worldwide right now.
Land was deeded to the city with a parkland use stipulation. City sold the land for $10mil to a data center. No one will tell us citizens where the money is. They didn’t conduct any community outreach before deciding to start developing the land for a data center.
It’s going to be 560 ft from homes in a historically black neighborhood.
Fuck AI data centers.
And fuck this city for allowing it.
At the council meeting last night they posted - on Facebook - that they won’t listen to the petition that more than 10% of residents signed. Literally ten minutes after the meeting started. It’s bullshit how little they care.
Just spent an hour cleaning up the baby jail upstairs.
Dude already needs more bookshelves. He put aside like 20+ books to donate and his shelves are still beyond full with tons of books unable to fit!
To be able to fit more bookshelves we’d have to get rid of some of his giant car tracks though. And he still wants them to play with. I’m not gonna make him grow up any faster than he wants to so if he wants to race his cars at 15 I’ll let him.
We need to figure it out though. He has so many books!! We buy instead of borrow because he lies to read them 5+ times each and he goes through cycles where he wants one series, then another. We’ll just need to rearrange stuff I guess!

They haven’t visited since lived in SC. It’s a short weekend trip but my goodness I am ready to have a friend here in Texas with me!!!

Today is my niece’s birthday. She’s four.
I haven’t seen her since October 2024. And I doubt I’ll see her again unless she seeks us out when she turns 18.
It breaks my heart. I love and miss her so much.
BR asked about her a couple days ago because he knows her birthday is in June. Asked when we’d see her and Lauren again. I told him it will probably be a very long time because of grownup things.
I just hate this so much. I wish things could’ve turned out better, but Lauren made her choices and we all have to live with the consequences.
And today is my nephew’s first birthday. We’ve never met him and probably never will. We’ve seen two photos of him ever.
It breaks my heart every time I think about them 😔
Got my car back. I hope it just magically is better now.
