I have their blemish jelly cleaner which is nice but that is all I have tried. Will definitely explore their stuff more in the future. This sugar scrub is a bit oily so I actually have to use it before a regular cleanser. Essence or Mist (or both)? Let’s be real... these are all essentially the same thing just in different application forms. Essence, toner, mists - they serve the same general purpose. I love a mist but I also love an essence. It’s possibly my favorite step of my routine. I don’t know why but I just love them. These, by no means, are essential steps in a routine but I enjoy it and I like to add hydration in anywhere I can. I also have to say I got a little inspiration from @dewiestglow for this one. I actually love this pic. She told me I should show my plants more so this is a little taste of that. If you follow her you know she has her plant babies, as do I. I told myself awhile ago that my aesthetic would by having plants in my pics but I haven’t really followed that. Night time goodies! These are the go to “skin perfecting” products I have been using at night for either an exfoliation or general skin evening and brightening. I use The Ordinary “Buffet” every night (reviewing soon). And I use the Caudalie’s Glycolic Night cream like every other night. Curology I like to use about once a week (I should use it more often) My formula has tretinoin, azelaic acid, and niacinamide in it which is all an A+ for me. I have actually really liked my Curology formula so far but I should be using it more regularly than I do. I love a good night routine. I was updating a few pictures on my blog (link in bio) since it’s been awhile and I now have a new camera and not just taking pics with my iPhone. I have slacked far too much with keeping up with posts on my blog. Props to people who are really invested in blogging and do it as a living because it is a lot of work and mine definitely still needs some work. I am revamping my site a bit and really going to try and keep up with posts there and not just here on IG, as well as take a new approach to it. If there are any kinds of posts any one would like to see, I’d like to hear. As if I’m not the millionth person to post about FENTY Skin lol but you know I had to. Now, the only think I have used is the cleanser and I honestly won’t be getting around to the Hydrovizor or the Fat Water for a bit, even as anxious as I am to try them, I am trying to be responsible and finish other things because I have about ten toners open and two moisturizers I’ve been using. So, I need to work on those first. I did post on my story about the cleanser already be will recap. I did not find the scent to be too strong at all. It was quite nice actually. And since it’s a cleanser I don’t care since I’m washing it off, as long as it doesn’t bother my skin, which it did not. The texture 😍 honestly I think the texture of this is probably the most lovely consistency I’ve ever felt from a cleanser. It is so rich and creamy and that’s probably my favorite thing about it. However 😬, as soon as I rinsed it off I could tell my face did feel quite clean, actually a bit “squeaky clean. ” Although, I didn’t find it overly stripping by any means but after my face was fully dry I did feel that my skin wasn’t very hydrated. I’ve definitely used worse cleaners but definitely used more hydrating. So, I do wish it were more hydrating overall. I’m definitely excited to get to the other products as well as see what there is to come from her. I mean, FENTY Beauty is huge and innovative, so I hope to see great things to come from her in this skin line and also hope to see her take the skin care community’s feedback as constructive criticism and kind of rework some things. #Review The Acure Ultra Hydrating Overnight Dream Cream. That’s a mouth full. Let me start by saying, I am a huge fan of Acure skincare products. ~ Texture: the texture of this is so lovely. It’s is whipped cloud-like cream. It’s very light and very smooth. My only complaint is that it can take a little extra time to rub in fully but it also depends on how much you use. ~ Smell: Acure is a clean brand and they don’t use and added fragrance or parfum but this has a lot of different oils and extracts in it. Some of which do provide a scent. One of which is clove bud oil and is comes through quite strong in this. It doesn’t bother me but it really smells like cloves. I don’t find it irritating but if you don’t like the smell of cloves you might not like this and it could be overpowering to some people. ~ Overall thoughts: I loved this! Aside from the scent this was quite hydrating. It felt so lovely on the skin and my skin felt soft and smooth afterward. In the morning my skin was still pretty moisturized. When I first started using this I was having dry patches around my mouth and it really helped nourish those areas and get rid of that dryness. This is only $20 and you can get it at Target, Whole Foods, or acure.com. If you’re sleeping on Acure products - wake up! I personally love Acure products. First of all, they are so affordable. Second of all, their formulas are just so good and clean. They have some of the best ingredients list of drug store brands. I love all of their cleansers. I’ve tried every single one except one. So that’s like, idk, 8 or 9. This is one of the first products I tried from them that wasn’t a cleanser and it’s one of my favorites if not my favorite. The Blue Tansy Night Oil. Apparently it’s a close dupe to the Lapis oil by herbivore, so if that’s out of your price range definitely give this a try. This is only $12.99 and you can get it at Target or their site where they often run sales. What I love about this is that it’s so calming. Since I’m someone who shaves I have to be careful of what I put on my face on those days. Some products can be a bit irritating if I freshly shaved and then sometime you try products that just don’t agree with my skin, or just in general on days I do exfoliating products like an overnight peel, this calms my skin instantly. I had a day when my skin was being so sensitive and every product I kept putting on (as my normal routine) made it angrier and as soon as I put this on it took all the irritation and stinging away. Aside from that its quite hydrating /moisturizing. I highly recommend this if you love oils or blue tansy. I finally stepped foot into a Sephora for the first time in 3+ months (safely, of course) and of course I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to purchase something. I have been seeing the @iliabeauty Super Serum all over and really wanted to try it. Shade matching was a bit tough considering I couldn’t touch the displays and you can’t get samples but I found my match (ST7 Diaz). I love that this has niacinamide AND SPF 40. It was between this or the Kosas Tinted Face Oil but after talking to at rep I went with this. One of my favorite night moisturizer/creams is the Origins Night-A-Mins. So, when @caudalie came out with their Brightening Glycolic Overnight Cream, I knew I had to try. It’s a little pricier than the Origins cream so I’ve hesitated to buy it until @dermstore was having their Memorial Day sale, so I hopped on it and made the purchase. I can’t wait to see how this works for me. I love Caudalie products and their vinoperfect brightening line is one of the best. I’ve used it only two night so far but first impressions are that when I woke up, my face was not dry or tight or flakey and actually still felt pretty hydrated. I tend to get dryness around my mouth and there was none of that. And I used it after shaving, when my skin is a bit more sensitive, and it didn’t bother me at all. Not even tingling, so, love that! I just received my @kravebeauty Beet the Sun sunscreen. I’ve been on the hunt for a good sunscreen and I’ve only heard great things about this. Funny enough, since I purchased it I’ve seen about four different people post reviews about it and everyone seems to love it. So, I am excited to start using this. What I love is that it’s not just sunscreen ingredients but it has extra antioxidants for the skin. I was convinced by @alittlebitetc to purchase some @colleenrothschild products. She’s always talking about the Intense Hydrating Mask and has talked about the cleansing balm. This is their Cocoa Cleansing Balm and, I mean, come on, who doesn’t want to try that? They were having a 25% off sale site wide so I couldn’t pass that up. I tried the mask last night and it’s nice. My skin felt hydrated and not dry when I woke up. I tend to notice my skin can be dry in the morning if I don’t use a good moisturizer or oil. I’ll have to use it more to see how I like it. I think I could use a tad bit more next time for a thicker layer. I haven’t used the cleansing balm yet because I have another one I need to finish before I crack this one open. But I can’t wait. My moisturizer collection. Some old some new. Don’t be fooled - I have more, just haven’t opened them yet. I am enjoying the @oseamalibu Atmosphere Protection Cream. I’ve wanted to try this brand for so long and it hasn’t let me down. I like the texture and it’s pretty nourishing and for as many great ingredients that are in it it’s a “simple” moisturizer that I think I would repurchase. - The @glowrecipe watermelon moisturizer and overnight mask... I have refilled the moisturizer probably three times now and I like this on a simple day or as serum step under my moisturizer (I honestly have been trying to figure out if it pills when I use it like that though - I think it does) The mask I like but don’t love. I actually like to do is more as a flash mask now than as an overnight mask. It’s a nice quick refresher for my skin that way. - We all know about the @summerfridays Jet Lag mask. It’s a rich overnight mask. I like to use it like once or twice a week. Sometimes I use it ask a moisturizer if I feel like I need some extra moisture or even as an eye cream on those “struggle to get out of bed” days. - I just purchased the @acurebeauty Ultra Hydrating Overnight Dream Cream (that’s a mouthful) and have been using that every night for about a week now maybe a bit more. But I really like this. My skin was having some dryness and this really has helped my skin so far. I don’t wake up with dryness around my mouth when using it and my skin does not feel tight or dehydrated when I wake up in the morning. My only complaint is that it takes a little work to get it all massages into the skin. Other than that - it’s great! - The Bliss moisturizer isn’t me favorite tbh. I find that it pills under my sun screen. It’s probably the dimethicone. It’s pretty high on the ingredients list which I’m not a fan of. I don’t mind dimethicone but not when it’s in the top ingredients. - The @origins Night-A-Mins is one of my fave night moisturizers. This is my second one. I am also pretty sure they reformulated because my last jar was different but it was still Night-A-Mins. But I still enjoy it.
