taking inspiration from past events like the 100 positivity week and bellarke au week, this is a sendoff for the show that brought us together: a goodbye to (new) canon and a hello to the next stage of our fandom.

(i haven’t watched since the s5 finale but i’m as angry as anyone about the ish that’s gone down lately. your grief is valid and i feel it too. this isn’t me forgiving or forgetting, but instead choosing to remember the good times and the love i had for the characters.)

this event is unofficially scheduled from Sep 30 - Oct 6 to start as the show ends, but feel free to post whenever! you can start posting now, or months from now; you can post daily, or all of them at once, or whatever you feel like.

I wanted this to be open to everyone, so it’s not specific to any ship or character. it’s also not specific to any format - you can create gifs, photo edits, text posts, playlists, moodboards, fanfic, or anything else you can think of.

and feel free to pick and choose the prompts that speak to you, or to reinterpret them. you can do just one or two, or all of them, or do them out of order, whatever you like.

The 100 Farewell Week Day 6: I’m Telling My Own Damn Story Favorite Fanwork(s): Finding Reasons Not to Leave by @stealing-jasons-job

When Abby is diagnosed with cancer, Clarke moves back to Arkadia, Texas, to help take care of her and her medical practice. Clarke had never planned to move back to her hometown, and she certainly never planned on wanting to stick around.

But as she falls back into her old friend group, she finds herself feeling like she belongs somewhere for the first time in a long time. She tries not to attribute that to Bellamy, her childhood best friend’s older brother and surprisingly her closest friend upon her returning to town.

Some things never change, but Bellamy has. He’s grown up, both in maturity and in looks, and Clarke finds herself falling for her best friend. But she can’t risk starting something with her closest friend. What happens to them when she decides to leave again? Or worse, what happens if she decides she doesn’t want to?

A shaky underline of a sentence, this feels like something you’d like, and you would think this, and finally: Dear Clarke, every love story feels like a ghost story now.

Four months after Praimfaya, the radio crackles to life, and Bellamy’s heart stops when he hears the voice on the other end.

A voice he hasn’t heard in four months.

Clarke. Clarke’s alive.

But when he scrambles for his own radio, when he mashes down the button hard enough to break, when his voice rumbles her name over and over again, a plea slipping from his lips, she keeps rattling on — about food sources, a river, a girl? — almost as if—

“She can’t hear us.” Raven says gently, and he can feel it, the way his heart breaks all over again, like he’s lost her again, even though he just found her.

“I’m gonna fix it,” she swears as Clarke’s voice keeps talking, as Bellamy keeps gripping the radio, like somehow she’ll know, like she can feel him. “I promise, Bellamy. I’ll get her back.”

And two and a half months later, they do.

When Octavia wanted to start planning Halloween costumes together, Clarke should’ve known. Six years as best friends and this was a new development, but Clarke had learned a while ago that being friends with Octavia meant she had to roll with the punches every now and then. Some questions better left unasked and all.

But as Clarke looks around the Blake apartment in her soft purple dress that swishes around her calves and long blonde hair with flowers braided in, and her gaze stops at the sight of Octavia’s brother across the room, she realizes she probably should have asked those questions.

It’s not the soft curls or crooked smirk or mischievous brown eyes that bring her up short. No, it’s the crisp white shirt rolled up just above his elbows, the soft, tan pants, the teal vest that he somehow looks good in.

He’s Flynn.
