taking inspiration from past events like the 100 positivity week and bellarke au week, this is a sendoff for the show that brought us together: a goodbye to (new) canon and a hello to the next stage of our fandom.
(i haven’t watched since the s5 finale but i’m as angry as anyone about the ish that’s gone down lately. your grief is valid and i feel it too. this isn’t me forgiving or forgetting, but instead choosing to remember the good times and the love i had for the characters.)
this event is unofficially scheduled from Sep 30 - Oct 6 to start as the show ends, but feel free to post whenever! you can start posting now, or months from now; you can post daily, or all of them at once, or whatever you feel like.
I wanted this to be open to everyone, so it’s not specific to any ship or character. it’s also not specific to any format - you can create gifs, photo edits, text posts, playlists, moodboards, fanfic, or anything else you can think of.
and feel free to pick and choose the prompts that speak to you, or to reinterpret them. you can do just one or two, or all of them, or do them out of order, whatever you like.
just tag #the100farewellweek so everyone can see your posts! (it would also be great if you could reblog this post to spread the word.)
———————————
Day 1 - may we meet again - most iconic quote or scene
Day 2 - the most beautiful broom (in a broom closet full of brooms) - favorite character
Day 3 - love is not weakness - favorite ship OR friendship
Day 4 - your promised land sucks - a moment that hurt you → this can be an homage to canon or a fix-it au!
Day 5 - maybe life should be about more than just surviving - a moment that healed you (canon or au)
Day 6 - i’m telling my own damn story - favorite fanwork(s)
Day 7 - this is earth, anything’s possible - free choice
a huge shoutout and heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s participated in this event ❤️ i’ve gone through the tag and reblogged all the posts i could find; feel free to tag this account if i missed yours!
i also wanted to note that despite the tentative timeline, this doesn’t have an actual end date — if you’re inspired by these prompts at any point, or if you want to revisit any that you’ve already done, or anything else, please feel free to do whatever the hell you want.
