Pure angst-ish and very ooc

I want a fic where Shane and Ilya based on good luck babe where Shane is unable to come out and Ilya chooses himself and breaks it off. They never try again and Ilya settles himself with only ever being happy with Shane, but he still finds comfort with his friends, he dates around but never truly find the love of his life again. He is happy and content, but he just never falls again. While Shane is also trying to do the same, but the Voyagers never back him up like the Centaurs do after he eventually forces himself to comeout and he is just in constant depression. He tries to fall in love with guys and move on forcing himself into relationships and he even gets married, but he wales up contantly being regretful and crying himself to sleep. It doesn’t affect their hockey and they retire and stuff Ilya being happier than Shane, because he has a community that builds him up while Shane’s just contantly tear him down. When they meet again later in life it’s in a retirement home, because neither of them could see a future of raising kids without the other and simply settled into their lives. The thing is, Ilya has dementia just like his father and the only thing he even remembers is loving Shane and Shane realizes that this is the only chance he ever has of being with Ilya again and so he tries to make it work. He’s there for Ilya 100% and they even have a cute little wedding, but most of their friends are dead so the ceremony is just them two with an officiant and Ilya dies like a month later in Shane’s arms while all Shane can do is cry as Ilya can only confess his love for shane in Russian, because that’s all he remembers. Shane holds out for like a year or two more as he slowly wilts away from depression of only getting to be truly with his love for a year before he died barely remembering himself.

The timeline would be like after their big fight in TLG, however do what you want with it and whenever they meet on ice it would just be Ilya looking happy with his teammates and Shane feeling like he would ruin it by trying to get his back so he keeps his distance, but take creative liberties with it on why they never get back toghther.

If a fic like this exists please link it or if someone writes it please also link it. Please keep it very angsty, but Ilya is very content and happy and idk how that would work but I truly believe you don’t need to be with the love of your life to be happy. Shane is supposed to be the depressed one the babe in the, good luck babe side of things.
