AAAAAHHHH ! I just finished agggtm season 2 and it is PEAK so much better than the first season (maybe because I don’t really remember the books) I love all the new plots they added like Rosie (Max’s mother) or Max saying it was Sal I wanted to scream at that moment actually.

Also the music this season is so I mean Labour AND way down we go in the first episode ??? AND THEN ACHILLES COME DOWN ?! And Little Girl Gone when Pip tags Max’s house ??? Absolute best song choice ever. And like a thousand other songs I forgot the name of

They made me cry a second time at Stanley’s death so props to Holly for breaking me :) And this time I also cried at Max’s verdict the scene where Pip and Nat are crying and hugging and it cuts to Becca crying alone in her cell that was. that was so well done.

And all the references to book 3 ??? I NEED season 3 announcement it’s not even funny

And all the lines from the books they included !!! Real men wear florals when trespassing !!! The dating app scene !!! Pipravi has never been better (and they won’t be again for a very long time)

Agree or disagree? Michael is the high school crush, he’s playful and funny and his lines hit in a more flirty way. But ROHAN is the college crush. He’s charming and his lines hit in a devastating, deliberate way. Like his lines are more thought out sexy and not just flat up flirty. I know they’re not that different age wise (which is also crazy bc why do i imagine rohan as way older?) but do you see the vision?

it is actually so tragic that the naturals didn't get the level of popularity that the inheritance games got because its premise allows for a basically episodic format where you could drop like 5 new books rn and it wouldn't feel dragged. not every case they solve has to be personal but actually they can still be personal without being literally personal (see lia with the cult in bad blood) and after bad blood we were still left with an insane amount of character arc potential. 5 new books is just 5 new cases this is literally their job and we can put each of them in so so so many situations. in tig however these are rich kids from texas there's only so many situations you can put them in and puzzles you can make them solve before it gets too contrived since all of their "villains" have to be personal for the story to make sense. do you get what i mean. the inheritance games is a short netflix mystery show. the naturals is a 2000s procedural with 17 seasons. their fates getting inverted is one of the great tragedies of modern literature. to me.

I feel like rohan fans are the least weird from the mmc fans, like they know he is a bit weird and there is no denying in that.

in fact. i'd go as far as to say that "jameson proposes to avery at the end of tgb and they get married in the epilogue 🥺" is almost as out of touch with the characters involved as "grayson still loves avery and she'll eventually break up with jameson and settle down with gray 🥺" like oh so you like the idea of this ship more than you like the actual characters in the ship and just want them to Be Endgame™ above everything else regardless of how out of character it is bc they're really just self inserts for your traditional romance fantasies. oh okay. you could've just said that
