it really is crazy how there are so many influencers with millions of followers i have never heard of in my life
every day someone is like ‘have you heard about the situation with johnny youtube?’ and i go. pardon. who the hell is that
given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that
what happened to hello. what happened to good morning.
kim possible had the best possible iteration of the “kid hero with adult archnemesis” trope because it’s the one that best illustrated what a fucking loser an adult who regularly picks fights with a 15 year old would be. shego’s there because she’s getting paid and most of the other villains only clash with kim when she tries to stop them from doing evil shit they were gonna do anyway. but drakken? drakken goes out of his way to antagonize kim. Make This Teenager’s Life Harder is top of his checklist. he is the equivalent of a 40 year old man with an nft icon getting in twitter fights with a random kid, except the kid somehow has an advanced law degree and is an expert debater and just destroys him and the thread goes viral
society if we had this playing out on our screens and the people knew brienne as they knew dunk
I like that Daenerys equates the feeling of ‘being a god’ to being lonely rather than having power. Her dream isn’t to necessarily rule or be the most powerful, rather than it is to have a family/be surrounded by people who love and that she loves.
You make soup in a big bowl. You serve it in a smaller bowl. And then you convey it, using a spoon, to your mouth. But what is the spoon? Simply a smaller bowl still
hannah’s diary is the saddest clue in until dawn, exhibit A:
“i really think josh is doing better now that he's out of the hospital. i saw him today and he seemed better. he's pretty upbeat, but he talked like he's been doing therapy for such a long time. i guess i didn't know. mom and dad never let on. funny how you can not even know your own brother. i kinda need a good cry thinking about how lonely he must feel...”
this says so much about how much josh was already struggling before the disappearance of his sisters, and what his relationship with them was like. they were so close and yet he still managed to hide an integral part of himself from them. hannah realizes there’s more to josh than meets the eye and her first instinct is to think of his feelings and how terrible it must be to feel so isolated. they loved each other so much. i’m sick
whatever you do, DON’T think about josh waking up the morning after the prank and everyone being cagey and indirect about where his sisters are. everyone keeps telling him “it was a joke,” but he can’t piece together the story in a way that makes sense.
sam and mike are nearly frostbitten from how long they spent searching in the snow. chris got his information from ashley, who bit her nails down to the beds overnight. the others could barely look him in the eye. josh can’t figure out if his headache is related to the hangover or the idea of his sisters, humiliated and alone, lost somewhere on the mountain without him.
and where was he when they needed him? drunk, passed out? the last thing he remembers is a hazy glimpse of his baby sisters dragging him to the same couch where he awoke 10 hours later. he sees their faces but the edges of the memory are blurred and undefined. the sound of their voices and laughter is already fading away and running through his fingers like sand. all that’s left is the howling of the wind.
People talk about what they'd do if they were a horror movie protagonist, but you couldn't do that with horror games. Movies may be dictated by the writing, but in games, doing the sensible thing is almost always impossible. You can't just make your guy get back in the car and drive home instead of entering the scary abandoned mansion unless the developers included it as a fun easter egg early ending, and they probably didn't. If you were in a horror video game, you could walk up to your car, you could try to leave, but the prompt to open the door and put the keys back into the ignition will never come. Your hands will stay at your side until you finally realize there's truly nothing you can do than go through with the plot.

Sansa Stark of course one of the great characters of our times. what if a neurotic twelve year old choir kid got held hostage by her evil middle school boyfriend and then everyone called her dumb for believing that people should be nice. Great premise no notes. Anyhow, one of my favorite things about her is that she is a character who you can put in a cute lil winter outfit and pinch her cheeks and give her lemon cakes and then send her off to experience The Horrors
the Stark children knowing they can be safe with Jon, the Stark children knowing they can/have to be as strong as Robb, they just wanted their big brothers
one thing i love about every single Stark is that they physically cannot stop themselves from chatting shit, even when it actively endangers them. if they think of a good one liner they will genuinely rather say it and die than keep quiet
