The waddle dee had never been to the basement - it was a largely unused part of the castle, which had allowed the Battleship Halberd to be built there in secret in the years before Nightmare’s defeat. With the Halberd’s destruction during the final battle, the waddle dee expected the room to be empty. Instead, they were shocked to see a new battleship in the Halberd’s place. They hadn’t gotten a good look at the destroyed ship, only being able to watch as it fought against Nightmare’s forces and flew off, but they were fairly sure this new one was bigger than it by a decent amount. The new ship wasn’t the only thing that surprised the waddle dee, though. Standing outside the ship were a group of people they had never seen before, talking to Sir Meta Knight. Four were clearly other knights, clad in armour and holding an array of unique weapons. The fifth was a tall bird-like man, wearing a captain-like uniform. These must be the “new recruits” Sword and Blade had been discussing. The duo jogged over to the group. “Sorr’e’re la’e” Blade said.

“Eh?” The bird man seemed to have understood just as much of what Blade had said as the waddle dee had - that is to say, not much. The other knights seemed just as confused. “They said, ‘sorry we’re late,’” Sword translated. “...Right. Well, it’s nice to meet you both. My name is Captain Vul,” the bird man shook the two knights’ hands as he spoke, before proudly gesturing to the ship behind him. “And this is my battleship, the Vulcan!” “Name pending,” one of the knights, the one holding the axe, added, smiling behind their skull-shaped mask.

Alright. I finally got brave enough to post it guys. I've got a Kirby fic in the works! Its called A Second Chance. You can read it here if you're interested! Two chapters so far. I'll likely be making art for it often, so you can look forward to that on here.

for my Kirby ocs (who I really need to post about lol) he's probably getting ranger from mechadee, and archer from shimmer knight. as for Cosmo, I haven't really decided what they use to fight? maybe their scarf (kinda like ralsei deltarune)? but I don't know what already existing copy ability that'd translate to, maybe whip?
