Las Vegas massacre anniversary sparks debate on gun control
(via Conservative Commentator Ridicules Trump For Running The Most Incompetent Cover-Up In History – Jobrny's Rant)
Congress must be allowed to view the whistleblower report and assess the situation in totality, not in terms that Trump decides on.
The same political “leaders” who always convince Dems that the only way to be a successful candidate is to lean conservative, capitulate to conservative ideology, and appease Republican voters - those are the same people who have the nerve to tell us who to back now. Remember, in 2016 they were 100 percent wrong. Literally about everything.
I couldn’t possibly care any less about deplorable Trump supporters, but I dO know that Trump can be beaten with or without their support. By a real grass roots, change candidate, who voters actually believe. And for clarity: that’s probably not Biden, it’s probably not Harris, it’s definitely not Beto, it’s not Booker, and it’s not anyone who the Democratic establishment or MSNBC are pushing this time around.
The Democratic primaries haven’t even started yet. Don’t let the same pundit class who assured us in 2016 that Trump was unelectable, and Clinton was “inevitable,” and Sanders was the “riskier” candidate—PLEASE DO NOT let those same, biased, covertly politically backed, highly overpaid influencers pushing their horse—please don’t let them tell you who is and who is not “electable” in 2020.
If 2016 didn’t teach you anything then please let me spell it out for you: Anyone can win, no politician is inevitable, and absolutely anything is possible.

Republicans don’t want to actually lower abortions. They need a political prop to oppress women, and the six-week old embryo is their choice until the birth, and then they will politically attack the baby and mother for the remainder of their lives.
If national security is not compelling enough to garner enough Democratic votes for impeachment of this president, if defying Congress and defying the law are not enough, well, then, what is?

The super PAC "New Faces GOP PAC," which is airing ads attacking AOC, is funded primarily by longtime GOP donors and a handful of obscure companies.
We need to protect AOC. She is in danger.
The total shortfall rose to nearly $1.07 trillion, thanks to a difference between revenue and expenses of more than $214.1 billion in August.
After a series of stories about international political donations through the Presidential Inaugural Committee, the chief of the committee is falling under the watchful eyes of investigators. New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman reported that President Donald Trump’s pal Tom Barrack was spotted in Beverly Hills for the top fundraisers in California over the week. […]
The Republicans have become one big criminal enterprise.
It’s time for the #MarchontheWhiteHouse
One provider said the movement against abortion access feels similar to when Dr. George Tiller, a well-known abortion doctor, was assassinated in 2009
Highest recommendation.
For example:
“At Whole Women’s Health, a network of seven abortion clinics across Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Texas and Virginia, anti-abortion protestors are a constant, said Amy Hagstrom Miller, the group’s chief executive officer and president. But earlier this year, as states were passing abortion bans and federal lawmakers considered the ‘Born-Alive’ bill, the situation worsened, Miller said in an interview with CBS News.
”'These aggressive bills that keep getting introduced have a tone to them that’s incredibly fringe and introduces violent language,’ Miller said, noting that in Alabama’s legislation for a near total ban on abortion, [so-called] lawmakers compared the procedure to the Holocaust, the Khmer Rouge ‘killing fields,’ and other modern genocides.
“This spring, protestors scaled her clinic’s fences, blocked clients from entering the parking lots and even stopped patients from closing their cars’ doors as they tried to leave, Miller said. In April, her clinic in McAllen, Texas, was the target of an arson attack.”
Some of this is directly responsive to trump’s lies and inflammatory remarks, which have gone far, far beyond suggestions of support for “very fine” neo-Nazis.
None of this is protected speech. This is stochastic terrorism, and criminal acts and threats.
In 2016, the Russian government not only interfered in the United States’ presidential election — a fact that has been well-documented in the Mueller report — it also spied on U.S. intelligence within the United States. And according to an investigative report by Zach Dorfman, Jenna McLaughlin and Sean D. Naylor for Yahoo News, Russian operatives “targeted FBI communications” and successfully “hampered the bureau’s ability to track Russian spies on U.S. soil.”
One of the sources for Yahoo News’ report, a former senior official for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), asserted, “It was a very broad effort to try and penetrate our most sensitive operations.”
*** Highest recommendation. ***
People who want to be the “strongest” they can be actually have to work at it.
People who think of themselves as strong simply because they are men, or simply because they are American, or simply because they “arranged to win” a competition, are weaknesses a strong country cannot afford.
Slack efforts, flab, and the arrogance and deceit of arbitrarily submerged insecurities – those people, those countries, can become weak targets of scorn by dangerous people.
Not everyone has to be the “strongest,” but those who flaunt strength while defining it as readiness for conflict had better work hard at it.
This country has the excesses of weaponry. This country has the most bloated military funding in the world.
Where are our innovations? Where is our discipline? Where are our counter measures? Where is our intelligence?
Why are taxpayers funding a grotesquely expensive façade when it turns out any enemy can dig their fingers in and twist while we sit complacently bloated?
Why have Americans tolerated Republicons in power who are willing to ignore and fail to explore facts, while commandeering more and more money for defense contractors who provide a few jobs but mostly garner a lot of profit, instead of garnering functional intelligence information?
Why are we tolerating those “leaders” who came into complete Republicon control of the government in 2016 under these circumstances of shocking breaches and manipulations? Who take field trips to Russia on America’s Independence Day? Who welcome astonishing Russian oligarchic investments and partnerships into our country? Who have protected and stonewalled on every Russian interaction with this administration? Who refuse to secure our elections from cyber attacks which they know about but expect to benefit from?
We’ve got total puppet trump and Moscow Mitch, and we saw how House and Senate “Intelligence” Committees operated during those first two years. Devin Nunes! Insanely ridiculous conspiracy theories to distract from actual conspiracies. We see how Republicons in Congress and the administration are stonewalling still!
It’s like they are pimping a drugged, stupified, and unconscious America to Russia in exchange for money and power.
We need to wake up and fight out from under both Russians and Republicons.
Are we defenseless?
According to Politico, Kelley Rogers, a Maryland-based GOP consultant, pleaded guilty to wire fraud this week. Rogers, who ran multiple right-wing action committees including Conservative Majority Fund and Tea Party Majority, took in $10 million from mostly small donors since 2012, but only disbursed $48,400 to politicians. The rest of the money, according to prosecutors, was used […]
It almost seems there is no decency amongst Republicans. They take their lead from Trump. Theft and dishonesty are virtues in that party now.
