“I have faith in a lot of people” he nodded his head and then laughed when she spoke again “I’m adding my own little part to your song” he teased back before hopping up from the chair and walking over to the guitar stand. He picked up the instrument and put the strap around his body before strumming his fingers along the strings and turning to face her “Keep playing your song, I’ll try and play along with the guitar” he smiled, walking over to the piano and standing beside her.

“You do. It’s what makes you such a good person” Thea murmured with a smile. TJ was one of the best. “Good thing you’re making it sound good....” The brunette teased, as she played the song again. It was one of her favorites and she was glad that she could still remember it. “Okay....” She murmured, looking up at him, and smiling. Glancing back down at her hands, she began playing the song again, concentrating so she didn’t make a mistake

Bradley held his hands up in mock surrender “Okay, I’m not going to force you into telling me” he laughed “Sorry” he added nonchalantly before eyeing the crutches under her arms “How do you dance with ah– those?” he asked.

“You can like dance without dancing.” Thea pointed out, rolling her eyes. She hated talking to people that could be stupid. “But I danced a lot before I got hurt” A lot as in her whole life really. “My major was musical theatre actually... so yeah. A lot of dancing”

“I know you are” Tj smiled “You’re a very strong girl. You’ll definitely make it far with whatever you do” he added, shrugging his shoulders lightly and resting his fingers lightly over a few piano keys, pressing them down to make a soothing sound that echoed through the room. “Yeah, you’re great at this” he nodded.

“You have more faith in me than I do.... “ Thea teased, shaking her head. She knew she would be successful, she just needed to decide what she wanted to do. That was the hard part. She pulled her fingers back as he pressed his onto the keys. “You’re messing my song up....” She teased, nudging him gently.

“It’s good to be impatient though. It’ll make you more determine to get better faster” he smiled, hoping that everyone in the school would eventually get better. Not just physically, but mentally too. “Doesn’t matter if you’re good or not, Thea. All you gotta do is try, and never give up..” he smiled again as she started playing a piece, nodding along to it “Don’t doubt yourself. You’re pretty good at this” he told her honestly.

“I’m very determined.... I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t.” Thea mused with a nod. She was determined to get back to normal, or as close as possible. She wouldn’t let what had happened define her. “You know me.... I don’t give up....” She murmured quietly as she played along. She paused, glancing over at him. “You think so?”

Oh. Do you… should I bring you some food maybe? It’s not like I have any classes today.

Moping around in my dorm. Learning to walk. General things.

Right? You’d think they’d at least upgrade their dininghall options. Since food is good for the soul and all that.

I haven’t even made it to the dining hall to be honest...

Hazel swatted at the tears that fell down her cheeks, letting her dark hair fall accross her face as she gave a small shrug. Unsure of what to say. She could say yes.. but that would be a lie. She could say no.. but that would draw attention. “I’m just.. exhausted..” she let out a soft sigh.

Thea didn’t like people crying. She didn’t like crying, and she had a feeling tht this girl probably didn’t like people seeing her crying. Thea hated when people saw her crying. “Oh....” Thea felt quite same. “I totally understand...” The brunette murmured, sighing. “I haven’t had a good nights sleep since.....”

Lily looked over at the girl. “No.. but this has been up long enough..” she said before continuing to take down the photos. “They made a fountain, out in the garden as a more suitable memorial– this is just a silly shrine people have made” she explained as she leant over placing the photos in the boxes.

“Oh yes yes.... I saw that....” It was pretty. Thea had liked it.  “I wouldn’t say this is a silly shrine though... it clearly means something to the people that made it.” She continued, shrugging a little. “I just think it’s a little morbid” It kind of just screamed in their faces what had happened. So Thea did much more approval of the fountain, but she didn’t think she’d be hanging out there either

“Oh.. Um T-.. This is a bit awkward”

“Oh wow....” Thea mused, shaking her head. “They are pretty though”

Hazel had been through the roughest couple of days. On top of what she was already dealing with, she had a bruise forming on her cheek and the words of a stupid boy swirling through her brain. She felt like she was suffocating, pushing through the crowded corridors until she reached outside, hiding in a quiet corner. She barely took a single breath before she felt the tears fall past her cheeks. When she heard footsteps she swatted at her tears “go away”

Thea hummed to herself s she walked along the hallway. she was getting used to the crutches a little now. It wasn’t as hard, she wasn’t getting as tired. But she was still adjusting. Her new major was different from her old dancing, but she was enjoying it. She looked up, seeing someone crying. She bit her lip, hearing the girls words. “Are you okay?” She asked though, feeling concerned.

“Ti sei ricordato di portare il vostro pranzo?“ he asked his daughter, who in reply nodded and wriggled, resulting in her bag shaking.  “È nella mia borsa.” “Brava ragazza. Essere bravi a scuola oggi . Ti vengo a prendere dopo finisco qui e poi possiamo andare a cena dove vuoi.” Kristoph lent down and pressed his lips to her forehead, earning a hug from his four year old.  “I love you, daddy,” Catalina beamed. “Have a good day at school, too!” “I love you, too, my baby. And I’ll try,” he joked. She narrowed her eyes playfully at him. “No. Don’t try. You will have a good day at school today.” He laughed and waved, watching Cat get into the car with one of the mums of her friends in kindy. “Thanks for picking her up, Morgan!” Kris called out, getting a head shake and a smile before a series of waves. And then they were gone. He turned on his heel to stroll across the college when a certain someone caught his eye. Kris made his way towards her with a smile. “Good morning,” he greeted. “Here. Let me take your bag,” the lecturer offered.

This was harder than she had thought it would be. She had known that coming back to campus was going to be hard. But she was sure she could get used to it. She had to. She wasn’t going to let this get the better of her. The girl sighed, and stopped, taking a few deep breaths. She just needed to get used to walking again. It would be okay. Thea looked up as she heard someone talking to her. “Good morning....” She murmured with a smile. “Oh... Thank you so much....” Se murmured, handing him her bag

Jayde cracked a half smile as she reached to slip the girls’ bag off her shoulder and flung it over her own and then wrapping her arm around the girls waist just to give her a little support but only if she needed it. “We already look like best friends.” She muttered with a small laugh.

Thea laughed, shaking her head. Now this had to be  a picture. But it was nice to know that someone was there for her. “We do...” She mused with a little grin. “What dorm are you in?” She asked, hoping that the girl wouldn’t be going out of the way for her.

Benji simply nodded. He wasn’t going to talk about Jack. Especially when the guy used to be one of Benji’s best friends. “I think being alive is…” he shook his head, not even bothering to finish his sentence. He now had to live with the guilt, and live with the memories currently haunting his mind. It was stressful, to say the least. He slowly walked alongside her, at a pace she could keep up with as she used her crutches “I’ve missed hanging out with you in general”

“I’m just glad we’re both here. I don’t know what I’d do without my best friend...” And that was all she was going to say on the matter now. Thea didn’t want to dwell on the situation too much. It would only make it hard for both of them. She looked up at him, and smiled softly. “Then we’ll have to hang out lots for the times we’ve missed”

Bradley simply shrugged his shoulders and tucked his hands into his jacket pockets “But the paper’s always change the story around a bit. I read some where that there was more than just one shooter, and then I read another story that said the SWAT team killed the shooter….” he explained, shaking his head “…Okay, I’m sorry– let’s talk about something else. What kind of things are you into huh?”

“Well. I won’t be telling you....” Thea mused, shaking her head. She didn’t want to talk about it, especially to someone she hardly knew. She had hardly told her closest friends how she felt. “Uh.. Music...dance..... I love musicals” She mused with a smile, feeling a little more comfortable.

“And perform you shall” he nodded encouragingly “Look, it might hurt, but not all performers need to stand, or move. You can sit down and still perform” he told her with a small smile, leading her down to the music room, which was a short distance from where they were seconds ago. He opened the door and walking in after she did, setting her bag on the ground “I was hoping you’d say you play piano..” he smiled, walking over to the piano in the room “Come sit with me, show me those rusty skills of yours” he teased, sitting down on the stool in front of the piano and patting the spot beside him.

“It has to get better.... they say it will get better. I’m just impatient....” She wanted to get better now. But she had to give it time. It would get better, and she would perform again. She might just need to find something new to perform. “Thanks....” She murmured, walking into the music room. She hadn’t been here for a while, and it felt good to be back actually. “I’m not that good any more....” She murmured, following him over to the piano and sitting down next to him. It felt better as soon as she sat down. Thea placed her crutches on the floor, before she slowly began playing a piece.

Tj stopped as soon as she did, turning around on the spot to face her again “I think you’re a lot stronger than you lead on, Thea. If you want to perform, you won’t let something like crutches stop you. Come on, let’s take a detour to the main office– I wanna stop by the music room. We’ll find something for you” he smiled, waiting for her before he headed off towards the music room.

“I want to perform. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. I just.... it hurts so much....” Thea hadn’t really told anyone what it had been like. But she couldn’t even imagine dancing right now. Walking alone made her so tired. “And just walking makes me tired....” Maybe she’d get there in time. But she had no idea. She smiled sadly up at him. “I play the sax and piano you know....” She mused, smiling a little more. “Probably a bit rusty now...but yeah”
