My team and I have been working hard for the few weeks to improve our business. We understand that the satisfaction of our customers is crucial for our success, and we are fully committed to meeting their expectations. That's why we've made a decision to rebrand our product as SecuReady expanding the range of our locations and exploring new possibilities.

To address concerns about the cost of our product we conducted a survey that covered important aspects of our market. We carefully listened to all the feedback we received and have taken steps to meet the expectations of our customers. By making adjustments in production materials, we aim to lower costs without compromising on the quality of what we offer.

We strongly believe that these changes are vital for the growth and prosperity of our business. We are confident that our product will continue to deliver value and service to all our customers. Our ultimate goal is to ensure their safety and peace of mind. We won't spare any effort in achieving that objective. We're genuinely excited about what lies for SecuReady and the opportunity it brings us in providing an experience for all our valued customers.

Blog#2 (The Entrepreneurial Mind)

The journey of being a young entrepreneur has never been easy. We always have to deal with failures and rejections. To deal with rejections, we did a rejection therapy, where we asked strangers for a complicated task for them to do. Some gladly did those tasks, but most of them rejected us. However, we can view these failures as an opportunity to build a stronger mindset. 

A successful business also requires a strong and healthy communication to your business partners. We did a communication training, which is a back-to-back drawing, where one person draws while the other person describes the picture to be drawn without telling them exactly what the drawing is, to secure and strengthen our relationship with our business partners. During this training, collaboration and teamwork were needed. We also did a marshmallow challenge to improve our capacity to build an idea on how to validate our product to our target market. A second interview was also conducted with the guide of empathy map. During our team's discussion, we have come up with this questions: 

• Have you seen any defense tools or alarm devices sell in the market? YES or NO

• Do your friends or classmates feel safe and secure outside and inside of the campus, especially during night? YES or NO

• Have you seen an app or a device that helps locate your place incase of emergency? YES or NO

• How do you feel when went home alone at night?

• Do you think it's safe?

• What time do you usually go home?

• Do you go out often aside from going to school? YES OR NO

• Do you prefer going out with someone or just you alone? YES OR NO

• How familiar are you with our product? 

• How do you typically find out about our product?

• Who recommended our product to you?

• How do you feel when you heard that there are crimes that took place in the area where you live, whether it be an attack, a sexual assault, or any crime?

• What measures would you take if you had a feeling that you were not in safe circumstances?

• How much are you willing to pay for your safety?

• What would you contribute to prevent yourself from becoming a victim of crime?

Based on the responses, most of them haven't seen defensive tools or alarm devices to help them when they are in danger since most of them do not feel safe and secure roaming the vicinity of Musuan, especially at night. With this, MusuanPin can be of great help to them (Students living in the vicinity of Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon). They are willing to invest in a product that they can use if they are in great danger. With the interview that we conducted, our team's product can be improved for customer satisfaction.

Blog #1: First Journey to The Entrepreneurial Mind

Starting a business has always been a goal of mine. Growing up, I have been an ambitious person, always looking forward to opening a business I can call mine. However, navigating the complex world of entrepreneurship took more than just ambition, since it demanded a profound understanding of the entrepreneurial mindset. The Entrepreneurial Mind course might help me extend my horizons and refine my skills.

Exploration of entrepreneurship's foundations served as the course's introduction. We studied the qualities of successful entrepreneurs, which include courage, innovative thinking, and an appetite to take calculated risks. By giving me a clear road map for personal development, this basic information enabled me to evaluate my own strengths and opportunities for development.

The importance of recognizing market problems and opportunities was a crucial learning. Highlighting the necessity of fostering a great sense of observation and problem-solving abilities, laid the groundwork for our entrepreneurial adventure. We discovered that identifying unmet needs and coming up with creative solutions frequently leads to the most profitable startups.

This week has jam-packed with exploring business concepts. We engaged in brainstorming sessions, honed our idea-pitching skills, and learned to conduct preliminary market research by interviewing eight (8) consumers individually, asking them questions to help us generate business idea not only benefits us but also help consumers lessen their troubles.

Here are the five (5) questions we asked during our consumer interview:

What problems do you encounter in your daily work?

As a consumer, what is the current demand for products in the marketplace?

What factors are most important to you when deciding to purchase from a new business?

What current problems exist in the field of agriculture, medicine, and education that needs to be solved?

Upon evaluating the problems encountered in the fields, do you have any product suggestions that can be launched in the marketplace?

The people I interviewed were primarily concentrated on the agricultural sector, with a specific focus on rice grain production and pricing, currently recognizing rice as the most vital commodity. Nevertheless, our team encountered a variety of interview outcomes, prompting us to pivot towards security services and propose a tracking device pin as our product - MP or MusuanPin.

This MusuanPin will help lessen the increasing cases of sexual assault and robbery in the vicinity of our beloved institution - Central Mindanao University, especially in College Park, which houses many students learning in the said university. This pin will be attached to the ID of the students. Its functionality involves activating the pin to instantly pinpoint your location in times of danger and subsequently alert the institution's security personnel, enabling them to promptly dispatch assistance to your precise whereabouts.

I've been giving our suggested service and product further thought because I'm concerned about mistakes that could cause time to be wasted. However, despite the inevitable ups and downs, starting a business is a worthwhile adventure. In order to succeed as an entrepreneur, one must face obstacles, learn from failures, and firmly pursue their goals. I'm excited to learn more about entrepreneurship at the following session.

Today's discussion was all about focusing on psychological health. In the adolescence stage, adolescents are prone to having depression. It is of great significance if we focus not only on the pressure that the world has given to us but also on our well-being. And to do that, we must make our life simple. Our well-being is essential for us to do well in our daily lives. I know that it is hard to open up, but it is better to release the feelings kept inside than hiding them. We don't have to struggle in silence. We may think that no one will listen to us, but there is. Some people are willing to listen to all of your problems.

It is fascinating how the brain is the master organ of the body. I have always loved biology, as I would get a chance to study parts of the human body, especially the brain. I was surprised to know that studying the brain is also part of personal development as one can understand how a person can do things because of the brain. I am truly grateful for God's gift to us, humans and any other living being. It amazes me how the brain works even though it is small, yet it can do lots of things. Without it, we would be useless. It somehow reminds me of myself. I may be small and subtle, but I can also do lots of things. And because of this lesson, it made me more motivated in life.

Stress is inevitable. It is a normal part of an individual's life. Today's discussion was about encountering stress as a part of adolescence. Yes, stress is unavoidable, but that does not mean we let the stress consume us. We have different coping techniques depending on the type of stress that we have. Hans Selye stated that "It is not the stress that would kill us; it's our reaction to it." It depends on us how we react to the stress that we feel. It depends on us if we let the stress consume us, or we withstand it. We should learn how to cope with our stress for us to become a better person in the near future.

Challenges will either make a person or break a person. At the stage of adolescence, challenges and responsibilities won't be absent. Through our journey of being an adolescent, we will encounter difficulties. Those difficulties will either make us a better person or tore us apart. What I have learned from this lesson is that we should not let these challenges overpower us.  Instead of giving up, we should seek help from others. We should seek advice from the elders to know how to deal with the challenges that we have faced. And instead of letting these problems eat us, we should use this as an opportunity to hone our self to become better in the future. As the saying goes by, "We don't grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges".

Being at the late adolescence stage can be stressful. The responsibilities as an adolescent can change how we perceive life. The transition of being an adult from being a kid is like being a carefree young lass to a stressful one. The responsibilities of becoming an adolescent not only causes stress to your life but also encourages you to become a better person. Growing up, I have always wanted the responsibilities in life. I do not care if it would cost me a lot. It made me feel independent and reliable. I would not dare skip this stage of my life as it helps me grow and become who I am today. Also, the comparison in adolescents is normal as it helps us to figure out where we stand in terms of beliefs and preferences. However, comparing oneself against others may be a source of motivation or a source of insecurity. Nevertheless, be yourself.

Being mindful means being aware of everything, not only to others but also to yourself. There are lots of questions that keep turning to my head after today's discussion. Am I truly aware of my attitudes, emotions, and feelings towards other people? Am I aware of my attitude towards myself? "What you think is what you are" the phrase that I keep hearing from today's discussion. I realized that your mind and body are connected. Therefore if you are thinking happy things, you will feel cheerful for the rest of the day. Because of today's discussion, I wanted to change how I think to become a better person. As Napoleon Hill once said, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

In getting to know thyself, you must be able to accept other's perspective. Today, I have been able to learn many things. Understanding thyself can be crucial as it helps you how to define your inner self. I ask myself if I truly know who I am? what I am as a person. I often think that I already knew myself. However, it is just only a self-concept. Self-concept is how I define myself physically, spiritually, emotionally, socially, and morally as a person. Now that I know how to get to know thyself, I must imbue and practice this knowledge in such a way that I can become a better person.
