E1027 • This week I had the pleasure to visit Eileen Gray’s E1027 in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. Having learnt of this place through my parents, both architects, I studied this house and Grays work as a source of inspiration for my collection in university, now what feels like a lifetime ago. An incredible source of inspiration, it was emotional to see in the flesh. To see it in person, finally, it gave me a whole new perspective and my mind buzzed with ideas and designs. We swam in the ocean in front of the house (which is also where Le Corbusier died swimming). So incredibly happy to have had this experience.
