So idk which of my followers have seen Pitch Black

but I have this theory about it. Seeing the new Riddick movie recently got me thinking about the other movies and I got to thinking about the bioraptors (the monsters in Pitch Black). My theory is that they are not a product of nature but rather of the men who lived on that god forsaken planet. The monsters were genetically engineered by people to be weapons. My friends I've talked about this with do agree with me. 

Just think about it. The name Bioraptor (which is the name they are officially referred to) just kind of implies genetic engineering. They are living death machines. They are designed anatomically with all kinds of weapons wereas most predators have one (the monsters in the new movie really only had their tails). The bioraptors had wrist spikes, their hard heads, and two tail spikes. 

The main part of my theory is that it is not evolutionary sound to wipe out all possible sources of food. There are species of naturally occurring animals that actually make a habit to not EAT ALL THE FUCKIN FOOD that is available to them. Finally, the ultra sensitivity to light would be the safeguard for the people (which failed them). They chose the planet they did to give them plenty of time to work on these creatures.The fact that the sun would burn them would help make the clean up easy considering most planets follow a more regular day night cycle.

The plan? Whoever these peoples' enemies were, theyd send the bioraptors during the night to wipe a planet clean of their enemies and let the daylight cleanse the planet and it would be free for the taking. Obviously their little experiment backfired on them and got them all killed. The camp that was listed as a geographical site may have just used that description as a cover up. 

Now that I got that off my chest, I feel better. Maybe I'm right or maybe I'm just a nerdy fanboy who thinks too much about this shit. Anyway if anyone does find this interesting, thanks!
