Inktober day 1: “Ring”
Instructions on Food: Cook 20-24 minutes.
Me: Using my Superior Intellect, I have deduced that the Optimal Cooking Time is precisely… 22 minutes.
Less than four hours to go for the kick starter.
(I forgot what day it was yesterday.)
They see me strollin’
I love how this looks like it’s a bit historical when in fact it’s Sherlock Holmes. (Then again this adaptation payed close attention to all the details, historical or otherwise.)
weird little girls are literally the most powerful creative beings on the planet like i promise you no art made by an adult man can even begin to touch the plotlines of an elementary school girl’s pretend game
When I was seven, I came up with this story about a wizard’s daughter and a princess who were switched at birth. As far as I can remember, the whole plot was the two girls as teenagers being bratty towards each other. I’m pretty sure the princess “won.” But it was only because the wizard raised her? And they were both magic somehow? It turns out there’s whole genres about girls being bratty towards each other...who knew?
I may have named her Ruth just so I could make puns about her ruthlessness. A+ writing right there.
She started a local rebellion to get her parents back together? This story went through many iterations, and I loved every one of them.
Lexi ran away when she was seven. She tends to be reserved, but she still has a keen sense of adventure. Call her Xi (pronounced like something between ski and key).
Jessica the first character I forced to deal with my own troubles, so I could pretend I had dealt with them myself. She was just an indesisive, peaceful personality way out of her depth. (I think I was 13?? Maybe 14)
If you don’t hear from me in a while, just know that I’m always working on something.
My second oc was Mariah. She was a little bit more nuanced. Her mysteriousness came from an unwillingness to work beside other people which is a little bit important when your fighting a full scale war. That said, she was still absolutely my 10 year old self’s wish fulfillment character. She lived in the forts she built all across the forest. She had a knife that glowed in the dark, and most importantly, her best friend was a panther. So, you know, basically the coolest person ever.
I’m trying out this “Huevember” thing. I’d still like to have time for personal stuff, so I’m just doing one quick little something a week.
Yup, I made it. 10 points to your Hogwarts house if you can name all the book/show references.
(Stretch is in there, but I forgot to mention it.)
Inktober Day 31: Slice.
This is it. We made it. All the way past the finish line!
Inktober Day 30: Jolt.
I built myself a computer last week, and I’ve been itching to draw it.
