Looked at my Norway photos today and immediately felt a deep pang of nostalgia. The Brazilians would call it 'saudade'. I am overwhelmed with a profound yearning to be back there now. But still working on my Plan A to get me there and it will take some time. Fortunately there is also a Plan B. And a C. So all in all I'll get there one way or the other.

why the anchored nomad?
I come from a long line of female travellers. We started out in County Armagh in Ireland and were transported for the terms of our natural lives to this arid continent. The nomadic life stopped with my mother who married a fellow descended from the Kings of Ireland in Galway and Tipperary. I, on the other hand, find putting down roots difficult. Stifling. Suffocating. Yet here I am, 5 years in my little seaside house in an obscure part of southern Australia. The anchored nomad.
