I love the Fiona Apple music video for Criminal bc despite being sleazy and exploitative it’s stylish in that heroin-chic Vogue catalogue Kate Moss 90s type of way.

Like it was back when pop singers actually had a soul and Fiona was like “hey, here’s the worst and loneliest part of me bared for the whole world to see” and coincidentally it was her only commercial hit. I guess people just uniformly relate to being down bad and participating in lurid social behavior to ease their own self-hatred, declining mental health and inner demons. She was not afraid to be dark sided!
