Yep, that mural extends to our hallway, and the foliage comes to life with real plants indoors. Designing our space made me look for purpose to drive the design. It has to take function first, followed by form. Once you have those sorted out, it becomes an enjoyable journey. It can’t be “Pinterest copy” brought to life. Trust yourself to spit out some sense of creativity. 🥰When we made a decision to move to a new place, we had “lifetime” in mind. The last time we went home to hubs’ province was before our wedding. We had to wait for Mai’s last day of semester for this family weekend quality time. Mom G definitely went all her heart’s way (as always) to generously host us. We marketed at Balanga, ate every meal with delight, the highlight of which includes the freshest bounty from the sea, lunch at their family farm and went around Morong basically. It’s the kind of weekend we won’t trade for any other - because it’s with family. Grateful for the blessing of togetherness which was also to celebrate Marco’s honors, Mai’s sustained scholarship at ADMU and advance Father’s Day. I only managed to join one rally for Leni-Kiko and I am glad it’s this one, Meeting de Avance no less. I have the busiest week ahead with 19 foreign guests visiting Manila and I cleared my weekend from errands so I can tank up on energy. When I heard that MDA location is Makati, I tossed that plan out the window and decided to needle my way through elbow-to-elbow crowds - to imprint my choice in history. I understand the hunger of fellow Filipinos for better Philippines. I can relate to the raves around how decent the followers of this party are because I witnessed it myself. We were pulled by Titas we never knew from Adam to be able to see better. We slipped and other people picked us up immediately asking if we’re okay. I was not pushed even in the thickest of crowd, not even ONCE. These are small things and if we as a nation can be this kind, caring and loving, it’s without doubt how they can powerfully create bigger positive changes. If leaders come from that good nature, it’s almost impossible that their followers will not glorify them to be the same. It’s a ripple effect even if it’s the other way around. Mahal ko ang Pilipinas. 💖 Hindi ba kapag mahal natin, binibigay natin ang lahat ng pinakamabuti? Hindi ba’t ibibigay natin ang lahat para mahalin lalo sila? Mahal ko ang Pilipinas.
