I often think about how Rose is just a helpless version of Guest. Theyre both unconditionally kind in spite of everything theyve gone through and both want nothing more but to protect the people they care about even at their own sacrifice.

The difference is that Guest was an adult in the military that had been trained in combat and knew what he was getting into.

while Rose was a scared imprisoned child that never would've imagined going through the things she went through had she just been left alone.
