I’ve been thinking about genderbending through Victorian fashion lately.
Men’s Victorian fashion feels fairly muted & boring in my opinion, which makes it interesting to imagine it expanded through richer fabrics, patterns, silhouettes and textures.
At the same time, I’m drawn to women’s fashion shifting toward darker palettes and heavier, more structured materials. Less delicate, more grounding and dominating.
Not really swapping genders, just letting color, pattern, and fabric exist without rules.
If any artists are reading this id love to see it!
