The Archivist and The Redactor

I am obsessed with these two so I couldn't help myself so here we are. When I am older I might make a series about these two but that will probably take a while. No NSFW asks please. I also can only post during the summer, every third weekend of a month, and certain holidays. This means I might not get to your ask or rp start, but that doesn't mean I won't. If you want to continue a RP that is days or months old I am so in.

The Archivist

Pronouns: He/Him doesn't care if pronouns are wrong though (He doesn't mind if people mix up his pronouns)

Nationality: German

Sexuality: This man has no idea

Personality: Cold, clinical, prone to anger, and is actually quite caring.

Facts: He can actually be surprisingly sweet when getting to know him. He doesn't actually like doing what he does but he knows that if he doesn't he'll lose his powers as well as his immortality. Wants to help others but knows he can't when he sees that they're supposed to die based on the journal. He is actually quite skilled with a knife when it comes to it.

The Redactor

Pronouns: He/Him

Nationality: France

Sexuality: Bi

Personality: Quiet, serious, protective, and close to emotionless.

Facts: Despite being quite skilled in martial combat he still would rather use his butterfly knife. Doesn't trust many people not even other freaks when it comes to the Archivist. Still smokes cigarettes but doesn't do it as much as he did when he was still a RED Spy. He also secretly wears his Scout's tags not really remembering why.

Archivist didn't know how it happened one minute him and Redactor were talking in the garden of their home base and the next... Well Redactor wasn't Redactor anymore and Archivist wasn't Archivist, they somehow reverted to the past. Redactor now Éitenne had Archivist now Emil pinned down his butterfly knife to Emil's neck. Emil was trying not to move and well trying not to freak out considering he wasn't expecting this. He also had no idea how he remembered everything as the Archivist while Éitenne didn't remember anything from being Redactor. It is freaking Emil out bad and well he is currently trying not to get killed so he can't really do anything to figure it out at the moment.

"Where is my team you damn BLU!"

"Vill you please calm down I don't vant to hurt you!"

"Then tell me where my team is!"

Two strange figures are walking around both seemed quite confused on where they are. One seemed to be a Medic who doesn't have a medic symbol anywhere, he is also looking through a strange journal while walking. The other seems to be a Spy with gold accents in his suit. His hat hides his eyes as well as his glasses, he also has strange golden bracelets around his wrists. The Medic seems to be the one speaking the most out of the two muttering about a portal malfunction. The Spy is completely silent as he looks around the area as if looking for any threats.

"Vhy vhere ve sent here?... Is zhere a contradiction? A completely new force? Vhat could it be!"

The Medic yells out running a hand through his hair and tugging slightly. The Spy stops the Medic before making a gesture. The Medic's eyes gleam as if understanding quickly.

"Of course ve should ask an inhabitant of zhis universe smart thinking mein friend!"

Polite was simply sitting on a park bench when he had noticed two strange figures from across the road. He had never seen these two before, despite knowing almost everybody around. He watched them with curiosity, how they walked, what they looked like, everything really.

He was always one to observe his surroundings and the people around him, it was what helped him decide on the kinds of gifts or compliments to give to them. It was almost as if he was figuring them out before he had even met them.

His eyes had unintentionally met with one of the men’s eyes. To which he smiled and gave a small wave, a friendly gesture.

The Spy waves back though his face didn't seem to change still showing a stern face. That's when before the Spy could react the Medic ends up running into a tree.

"Agh gosh darn it!"

The Medic rubs his face while also closing the journal he was holding. The Spy sighs in annoyance before getting him to sit down. That's when the Medic notices Polite.

"Oh hello zhere!"

The Medic says with a smile and a slight wave. Though somehow the smile felt a little off, but not enough to really tick off anything.

“Hello there, my friends.”

He too gave a smile, clasping his hands in front of himself. He tilted his head a little to get a better look at the two of them. His gaze felt slightly scrutinizing, although unintentionally.

“I do not believe I have met you two before, are you both new to town?”

He lended out a hand for a handshake, for either one of them to take.

“I am Polite Spy.”

"I am Archivist and zhis is Redactor."

He says before shaking Polite's hand in a slightly rough hand shake, while also gesturing towards Redactor with his other hand.

"And yes ve are new here."

His smile drops slightly at the scrutinizing gaze even if it was unintentionally. Redactor notices and quickly taps Archivist's shoulder making his smile get wider yet again. Redactor looks like he isn't too interested in what was going on, and he hasn't seemed to move from the spot he was standing near Archivist arms crossed.

"Don't mind him he doesn't trust new people."

Archivist says trying to get any possible attention off of Redactor.

“It is lovely to meet you two handsome gentlemen.”

He gives a light chuckle, before gently retracting his hand and placing it back into his lap alongside his other one.

“It is quite alright, my friend. I do not expect anyone to trust me right off the bat, trust is earned after all! I do hope I am able to earn it one way or another, though.”

“If I may ask, what are you two doing in town? We do not get many visitors often.”

"Ve are just passing through."

Archivist leans back on the bench while pushing his glasses up a bit more. Redactor on the other hand seems to be analyzing Polite. One hand on the bench the other hand at his side though he could be heard fidgeting with a butterfly knife. Archivist ends up looking slightly agitated hearing the noise but ignores it.

"I must ask though vho else lives in zhis town?"

Archivist leans forward slightly while still leaned back at the same time. His tone definitely made it obvious he was quite interested in the town despite him supposedly 'just passing through'.

Polite notices the distinct sound of a butterfly knife being played around with. Even if he himself didn’t carry such weapons he knew what it sounded like.

He didn’t pay much mind to it, though. Even if the Spy was intending on using it he would not mind. Everyone was free to do what they wanted after all, and it would be rude to interrupt.

“A few others! Well, more than a few actually. My friends like spread out and explore. Some of them leave for a few days or months before coming back, me included.”

"Huh interesting..."

He taps his chin slightly as he registers the information. Archivist takes the journal he has opening it, he then mutters something about it narrowing the universe down. Redactor elbows Archivist hearing him say that which surprises Archivist. He then clears his throat silently hoping Polite didn't hear him say that.

"Archivist maybe keep the journal away for once."

Redactor finally says his voice hoarse. Archivist groans at that before putting the journal away. Redactor nods thankfully when he does that before going back to what he was doing with the butterfly knife.

"Dummkopf...anyway so it's normal for there not to be so many people cause vell you are zhe first person ve have seen here."

“Really? Why, I would have expected at least Painis to have greeted you both already…well, greeted in his own way. That of course means he would have already eaten you both by now.”

“I suppose I am glad he didn’t. Otherwise I would not be having this splendid conversation with you both!”

“I wonder where all of them are right now….perhaps some sort of party I was not invited to? Oh well. I am perfectly fine with not being invited. It is their decision after all.”

Archivist looks away nervously. The reason they hadn't actually met anyone else is because they tried to stay hidden until now. Redactor sighs before snapping near Archivist's ear snapping him out of it.

"I don't want to seem rude but you don't seem to act like most Spies we meet is there a reason for that?"

Archivist rubs his eyes of course Redactor would ask that he was a Spy himself after all. Archivist ends up whispering to Redactor that maybe asking that wasn't a good question. He would then turn back to Polite before clearing his throat.

"You don't have to answer my friend's question if you don't vant he can sometimes ask interesting questions like zhat."

“It is okay, my friend. I am more than happy to answer it.”

“I suppose my demeanor is a little different compared to other spies. One reason may be is that I am not particularly violent in a sense. I do not carry weapons or anything of the sort on me.”

“All my actions are dictated at how polite they may be, or what would be the most polite thing to do in a situation…though I only help others when I am asked directly.”

"That's interesting..."

Redactor puts his knife away into his sleeve while Archivist is confused.

"Wait how and do you even protect yourself?"

Redactor looks slightly surprised by Archivist's question but he is also curious about this. Archivist leans forward a bit more his expression even if his eyes cannot be seen shows interest in the truth. Redactor leans on the backside of the bench behind Archivist.

“…I don’t.”

He says, plainly.

“If there is someone I cannot persuade with my words, then I simply let them do whatever they need to do.”

“Some people do not want to be my friend, and some people want to harm me.”

“It is nothing I cannot handle, though.”

The both just stare in surprise not expecting to hear that. Redactor is the first to snap out of it before trying to snap Archivist out of it. Although despite whatever he did he couldn't snap Archivist out of it.

"Great he short circuted."

He sits down before taking off his hat and putting it on Archivist's head. He does it so normally as if it's a normal occurrence.

Polite stares at Archivist, slight concern in his expression.

“I am sorry if I caused that. I did not think it would be that shocking to hear. If it makes him feel any better, I can snap my limbs back on if they are torn off.”

“It’s happened more than once. I can also regenerate myself fairly quickly…I also have a high pain tolerance.”

"It just conflicts with some information he already knows it happens constantly. It wasn't your fault we are just used to people fighting back when attacked."

He adjusts Archivist slightly so that Archivist didn't look too strange if someone walked past. He then pulls his knife back out doing a few tricks.

"Though that is quite the ability."

“I simply think fighting back would be quite rude of me. You know, it reminds me of when I first met Brutal and the rest of my friends! He had just killed the BLU Scout when he had noticed me there! He threw a piece of a spine at me, then a wrench, and then a pickaxe.”

“He did die shortly after I offered him a sandwich, though.”

Redactor soon stops doing tricks with his knife before pulling out a half finishing wood sculpture starting to work on it. That's when Archivist finally snaps out of his state.

"Ugh my head..."

Archivist takes off the hat Redactor put on him before rubbing my temple.

"Welcome back Archivist."

“Welcome back, my friend.”

Polite turns to look at what the Redactor was doing, tilting his head in curiosity.

“Whatever are you doing, Redactor?”

“I did not know you could sculpt wood…”

"I do it in my free time."

Redactor doesn't look up from the wood sculpture as he keeps working.

"I thought you finished that."

"We move around a lot I don't really have time to finish it."

“I see. You are quite skilled at it, I must say! Such precision…I applaud you, Mon Ami!”

He clasped his hands together, impressed by the handiwork of the Redactor.

“I do not have many talents of my own, although I am quite good at tending to my garden.”

Redactor seems to perk up at that.

"A garden?"

He tilts his head slightly in interest this tilt almost making him seem like a bird. Archivist seeing that of course snickered a little bit which makes Redactor quickly stop.

“Yes! I have a lovely garden in my backyard…I have so many flowers and plants…my absolute favorite area of it is the section where I keep all of my daisies. That doesn’t mean I do not care for the rest of my flowers, though.”

“I also have some berry bushes that line up around. I sometimes find Painis munching on them whenever he’s in my garden. It’s quite cute.”

“My spycrabs also enjoy playing around in the garden. I do have to tell them not to snip any of the flowers off of their stems…it has happened more times than I’d like.”

Redactor had leaned towards Polite slightly as he explained it making Archivist have to pull him back.

"That sounds like a wonderful place!"

His eyes had unintentionally met with one of the men’s eyes. To which he smiled and gave a small wave, a friendly gesture.

The Spy waves back though his face didn't seem to change still showing a stern face. That's when before the Spy could react the Medic ends up running into a tree.

"Agh gosh darn it!"

The Medic rubs his face while also closing the journal he was holding. The Spy sighs in annoyance before getting him to sit down. That's when the Medic notices Polite.

"Oh hello zhere!"

The Medic says with a smile and a slight wave. Though somehow the smile felt a little off, but not enough to really tick off anything.

“Hello there, my friends.”

He too gave a smile, clasping his hands in front of himself. He tilted his head a little to get a better look at the two of them. His gaze felt slightly scrutinizing, although unintentionally.

“I do not believe I have met you two before, are you both new to town?”

He lended out a hand for a handshake, for either one of them to take.

“I am Polite Spy.”

"I am Archivist and zhis is Redactor."

He says before shaking Polite's hand in a slightly rough hand shake, while also gesturing towards Redactor with his other hand.

"And yes ve are new here."

His smile drops slightly at the scrutinizing gaze even if it was unintentionally. Redactor notices and quickly taps Archivist's shoulder making his smile get wider yet again. Redactor looks like he isn't too interested in what was going on, and he hasn't seemed to move from the spot he was standing near Archivist arms crossed.

"Don't mind him he doesn't trust new people."

Archivist says trying to get any possible attention off of Redactor.

“It is lovely to meet you two handsome gentlemen.”

He gives a light chuckle, before gently retracting his hand and placing it back into his lap alongside his other one.

“It is quite alright, my friend. I do not expect anyone to trust me right off the bat, trust is earned after all! I do hope I am able to earn it one way or another, though.”

“If I may ask, what are you two doing in town? We do not get many visitors often.”

Archivist leans back on the bench while pushing his glasses up a bit more. Redactor on the other hand seems to be analyzing Polite. One hand on the bench the other hand at his side though he could be heard fidgeting with a butterfly knife. Archivist ends up looking slightly agitated hearing the noise but ignores it.

"I must ask though vho else lives in zhis town?"

Archivist leans forward slightly while still leaned back at the same time. His tone definitely made it obvious he was quite interested in the town despite him supposedly 'just passing through'.

Polite notices the distinct sound of a butterfly knife being played around with. Even if he himself didn’t carry such weapons he knew what it sounded like.

He didn’t pay much mind to it, though. Even if the Spy was intending on using it he would not mind. Everyone was free to do what they wanted after all, and it would be rude to interrupt.

“A few others! Well, more than a few actually. My friends like spread out and explore. Some of them leave for a few days or months before coming back, me included.”

He taps his chin slightly as he registers the information. Archivist takes the journal he has opening it, he then mutters something about it narrowing the universe down. Redactor elbows Archivist hearing him say that which surprises Archivist. He then clears his throat silently hoping Polite didn't hear him say that.

"Archivist maybe keep the journal away for once."

Redactor finally says his voice hoarse. Archivist groans at that before putting the journal away. Redactor nods thankfully when he does that before going back to what he was doing with the butterfly knife.

"Dummkopf...anyway so it's normal for there not to be so many people cause vell you are zhe first person ve have seen here."

“Really? Why, I would have expected at least Painis to have greeted you both already…well, greeted in his own way. That of course means he would have already eaten you both by now.”

“I suppose I am glad he didn’t. Otherwise I would not be having this splendid conversation with you both!”

“I wonder where all of them are right now….perhaps some sort of party I was not invited to? Oh well. I am perfectly fine with not being invited. It is their decision after all.”

Archivist looks away nervously. The reason they hadn't actually met anyone else is because they tried to stay hidden until now. Redactor sighs before snapping near Archivist's ear snapping him out of it.

"I don't want to seem rude but you don't seem to act like most Spies we meet is there a reason for that?"

Archivist rubs his eyes of course Redactor would ask that he was a Spy himself after all. Archivist ends up whispering to Redactor that maybe asking that wasn't a good question. He would then turn back to Polite before clearing his throat.

"You don't have to answer my friend's question if you don't vant he can sometimes ask interesting questions like zhat."

“It is okay, my friend. I am more than happy to answer it.”

“I suppose my demeanor is a little different compared to other spies. One reason may be is that I am not particularly violent in a sense. I do not carry weapons or anything of the sort on me.”

“All my actions are dictated at how polite they may be, or what would be the most polite thing to do in a situation…though I only help others when I am asked directly.”

"Wait how and do you even protect yourself?"

Redactor looks slightly surprised by Archivist's question but he is also curious about this. Archivist leans forward a bit more his expression even if his eyes cannot be seen shows interest in the truth. Redactor leans on the backside of the bench behind Archivist.

“If there is someone I cannot persuade with my words, then I simply let them do whatever they need to do.”

“I am sorry if I caused that. I did not think it would be that shocking to hear. If it makes him feel any better, I can snap my limbs back on if they are torn off.”

“It’s happened more than once. I can also regenerate myself fairly quickly…I also have a high pain tolerance.”

"It just conflicts with some information he already knows it happens constantly. It wasn't your fault we are just used to people fighting back when attacked."

He adjusts Archivist slightly so that Archivist didn't look too strange if someone walked past. He then pulls his knife back out doing a few tricks.

“I simply think fighting back would be quite rude of me. You know, it reminds me of when I first met Brutal and the rest of my friends! He had just killed the BLU Scout when he had noticed me there! He threw a piece of a spine at me, then a wrench, and then a pickaxe.”

Redactor soon stops doing tricks with his knife before pulling out a half finishing wood sculpture starting to work on it. That's when Archivist finally snaps out of his state.

"Ugh my head..."

"Welcome back Archivist."

Polite turns to look at what the Redactor was doing, tilting his head in curiosity.

He tilts his head slightly in interest this tilt almost making him seem like a bird. Archivist seeing that of course snickered a little bit which makes Redactor quickly stop.

Two strange figures are walking around both seemed quite confused on where they are. One seemed to be a Medic who doesn't have a medic symbol anywhere, he is also looking through a strange journal while walking. The other seems to be a Spy with gold accents in his suit. His hat hides his eyes as well as his glasses, he also has strange golden bracelets around his wrists. The Medic seems to be the one speaking the most out of the two muttering about a portal malfunction. The Spy is completely silent as he looks around the area as if looking for any threats.

"Vhy vhere ve sent here?... Is zhere a contradiction? A completely new force? Vhat could it be!"

The Medic yells out running a hand through his hair and tugging slightly. The Spy stops the Medic before making a gesture. The Medic's eyes gleam as if understanding quickly.

"Of course ve should ask an inhabitant of zhis universe smart thinking mein friend!"

Polite was simply sitting on a park bench when he had noticed two strange figures from across the road. He had never seen these two before, despite knowing almost everybody around. He watched them with curiosity, how they walked, what they looked like, everything really.

He was always one to observe his surroundings and the people around him, it was what helped him decide on the kinds of gifts or compliments to give to them. It was almost as if he was figuring them out before he had even met them.

Messenger’s page… shifts. More information becomes visible.

The edges still curl with ice and roses, but…

At the bottom, center of the page, is the base of a tree, whose branches spread throughout the rest of the page, like potential paths their future could take…

At the base of the first branches, marking where everything begins, is a silhouette of a seagull.

From there, symbols involving ice, roses, and doves are heavy throughout, until…

The branches reconverge on a single point.

Signified by a single, golden arrow piercing the intersecting branches. A blue diamond is faintly visible behind the branches.

After that, there is an elegant, icy-blue shield, decorated with feathers, water, and… a blue diamond in the center.

The branches at this point split down only two paths.

One is calm, painted in blues and whites, the branch not seeming to end as it fades away, to stories untold.

The other… starts off the same way, but abruptly becomes jagged, veins of violent pink and red seeping into the branch as it twists, and seems… rotted, damaged, broken. The sides of the page where this branch fades away are notably blank, the ice and roses that curled everywhere else disturbingly vacant.

Behind it all, is a silhouette of Messenger, split in half by the tree. On one side, they appear normal.

On the other side… there is the silhouette of horns, and pointed ears.

Messenger’s story… does not end any time soon. Their struggles will mount as they continue, even after their death, which seems disturbingly close— in less than a year. They will face triumph and defeat, hope and pain, love and loss.

Their page is packed with information, yet vague. As if nothing has been set in stone. The only guarantee… seems to be focused around that golden arrow and shield. The same ones on Dominik’s page.

Archivist just looks at it hands shaking not knowing how to deal with this new information. He was glad he wasn't going into shutdown, but he didn't know how he could explain this to Redactor. Redactor already gets mad at everything when he doesn't tell him something specific. Gosh Archivist didn't know what to do.

(The icy Prince seemed to be taking his usual stroll throughout his ring. The snow was peaceful today, and the Prince himself seemed content, which would explain the lack of heavy snowfall, or snowfall at all. He was holding a lantern, however, something he carried with him often. A couple small snow golemns ran around near him with rapid squeaks as they played.)

Redactor stumbles after coming through a portal Archivist stumbling out after. Redactor is the first to get up not noticing Dominik or the snow golemns.

"Archivist you alright?"

He helps Archivist up but has to hold him close realizing Archivist is shivering.

"Where the heck did we end up?"

He looks around when he finally notices Dominik.

"Hey!"

He waves towards Dominik trying to get his attention.

(The Prince's ear flicked, and he makes a hushed noise towards his small golemns, commanding them to remain silent as he looked around, shining his lantern. And thats when he spots the two.)

"....Little ones, stay low. There are... new presences in the ring today."

(And then he spoke up:)

"WHO GOES THERE? THERE ARE NO PRIDE DEMONS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO JOIN MY KINGDOM TODAY."

He walks closer still holding Archivist close.

"We aren't demons we just want to know where we are."

He has one of his hands raised showing he meant no harm. Archivist was shivering pretty bad now that it was seen up close which seems to be worrying Redactor.

"Our names are Archivist and Redactor."

(And then the Princes defensive stance softens, as well as his expression. More castaways? ....He had a soft spot for those.)

"....Hell, Pride Ring. North most ring from Wrath. You arent from here...are you? Otherwise you would know exactly who I am and where you are."

(He stepped forward, holding his lantern up still...That last part, it sounded much similar to someone else youve spoke with before...and Wrath, were you back in Hell? The Icy Prince stepped forward, examining Archivist and Redactor, but mostly Archivist. The Prince looked, incredibly concerned. He quickly set the lantern down, taking off his scarf to wrap it around Archivist. Suddenly he felt...warm. Stable.)

Archivist looks surprised before shrinking into the scarf.

"Thank you..."

Redactor sighs in relief glad Archivist was no longer shivering.

"We're back in hell just great..."

Redactor rubs Archivist's arm slightly. He was obviously not too excited to be in a place like this in hell. All because of how Archivist was in this place.

"You're quite kind sir..."

He looks up at the prince with a slight smile.

"Heheh, I take Pride in being hospitable towards castaways from other dimensions like yourself. I understand how harsh it can be to be forced to someplace new without your consent, and suddenly youre stuck in a blizzard. Also...You said you were *back* in Hell? Have you been here before?"

"Yes we were but we met with the prince of wrath Harbin last time."

Redactor soon ends up taking off his coat and draping it over Archivist's shoulders. It was to help Archivist against the snow a bit more.

"Though I am guessing you are a prince as well meaning you already know Harbin correct?"

(He immediately looked sheepish at that, looking off the the side with a very small blush.)

"Very well, actually. For quite a few hundred years now. He is a incredibly close colleague of mine. Here, lets...get you two out of the cold, mm- are you two okay with flying? It will be quicker than walking."

"I am but Archivist not so much he likes his feet on the ground."

Archivist lets out a sheepish noise at that feeling embarrassed when Redactor says that.

"Hmm.. thats okay, I have an alternative, although it takes more energy at this distance. Bare with me, okay?"

(He shuts his eyes to focused for a moment, and suddenly, a bit of bright blue glitter sparkles around all 3 of them. And with a bright blue and pastel yellow flash, you 3 are all teleported to the castles front steps.)

"Welcome to castle Frosthaven, uhm... watch yourstep, it may be a bit slippery."

Redactor nods before tapping his foot causing his shoes to change into things that can walk on ice.

"Stay close Archivist..."

Archivist nods as he grabs onto Redactor's arm. They soon enter Archivist looking around in amazement. Redactor smiles happy to see Archivist amazed by the place.

"Wait what is your name?"

He looks up to the prince curious.

(-) "Oh...did i not introduce myself? I am Dominik, Dominik Overschmidt. A former BLU Medic from long ago, repurposed as a Sin representing Pride."

(Dominiks small snow golemns had followed them inside, hopping around and squeaking at the newcomers excitedly. He led the two of them down the hall to a set of icy double doors. This entire castle was completely made of ice. He paused in front of the doors, stepping off to the side of the frame, adjusting a peculiar thermostat, setting the temperature to a comfortable 72 degrees Fahrenheit. He then opened the door, revealing a very cozy looking living space. There was a very comfortable looking couch which Dominik gestured to, as well as a large, high-backed chair, next to the chair was a small crib, Dominik immediately walked over to it as the other two sat down. And from it, a small yawn was heard, he picked up what you assume was a newborn snow fairy, similar to the others running about.)

"Did you have a good nap, Feechen? I hope so, because we have visitors. Feel free to have a seat, you two, there is an ottoman with blankets inside it, make yourself comfortable."

(Oh dude...this guy is literally just a dad. Alright.)

They both look surprised and Redactor grabs the tags he wears before they both sit down. While only Archivist does as Redactor grabs blankets and basically cacoons Archivist in blankets. Once Archivist was settled Redactor let's out a small bird sound before quickly covering his mouth.

"Sorry..."

Archivist snickers at Redactor's small bird noise.

"You alright?"

Redactor nods his cheeks slightly red from embarrassment.

(His ear flicked at that, and he giggled at his tiny snow child, who he sat down with, and began nuzzling her.)

"Now, I believe it is my turn to ask *your* names."

"Redactor and Archivist haven't gone by our real names for a long time."

He crosses his arms still hoping he didn't hear the noise he made.

"Fascinating. Mm- I see you made a cocoon for Archivist, id be careful, he could overheat with all of those. I changed the temperature in here to be more comfortable and not so cold, but the blankets- theyre special ones i made myself. Remember the scarf I put on you earlier that warmed you up? It's made with a special yarn my partner makes, it has heating qualities for when youre cold, and alternatively it can cool you down when youre too hot."

(He was also looking at his scarf that was still on Archivist, did he seem pouty a bit..?)

"The blankets should keep you stable, however. Mm...if you wouldnt mind, I would like to grab my scarf back from you."

Redactor huffs deciding not to keep trying to hide his floof. Archivist snickers slightly at how Redactor just sucomes to his floof.

Archivist starts snorting which makes Redactor groan.

Archivist looks nervous despite the page saying his death would be a close call he is too afraid to say it. He knew that people often liked to change their fate even if it's something like a close call. Archivist didn't want to take any chances.

Archivist quickly gets out of the pile of blankets and goes out of the room. Redactor gets up to go after him but stops knowing Archivist wouldn't be happy if he followed him.

Messenger’s page… shifts. More information becomes visible.

The edges still curl with ice and roses, but…

At the bottom, center of the page, is the base of a tree, whose branches spread throughout the rest of the page, like potential paths their future could take…

At the base of the first branches, marking where everything begins, is a silhouette of a seagull.

From there, symbols involving ice, roses, and doves are heavy throughout, until…

The branches reconverge on a single point.

Signified by a single, golden arrow piercing the intersecting branches. A blue diamond is faintly visible behind the branches.

After that, there is an elegant, icy-blue shield, decorated with feathers, water, and… a blue diamond in the center.

The branches at this point split down only two paths.

One is calm, painted in blues and whites, the branch not seeming to end as it fades away, to stories untold.

The other… starts off the same way, but abruptly becomes jagged, veins of violent pink and red seeping into the branch as it twists, and seems… rotted, damaged, broken. The sides of the page where this branch fades away are notably blank, the ice and roses that curled everywhere else disturbingly vacant.

Behind it all, is a silhouette of Messenger, split in half by the tree. On one side, they appear normal.

On the other side… there is the silhouette of horns, and pointed ears.

Messenger’s story… does not end any time soon. Their struggles will mount as they continue, even after their death, which seems disturbingly close— in less than a year. They will face triumph and defeat, hope and pain, love and loss.

Their page is packed with information, yet vague. As if nothing has been set in stone. The only guarantee… seems to be focused around that golden arrow and shield. The same ones on Dominik’s page.

This entire castle was completely made of ice. He paused in front of the doors, stepping off to the side of the frame, adjusting a peculiar thermostat, setting the temperature to a comfortable 72 degrees Fahrenheit. He then opened the door, revealing a very cozy looking living space. There was a very comfortable looking couch which Dominik gestured to, as well as a large, high-backed chair, next to the chair was a small crib, Dominik immediately walked over to it as the other two sat down. And from it, a small yawn was heard, he picked up what you assume was a newborn snow fairy, similar to the others running about.)

"Did you have a good nap, Feechen? I hope so, because we have visitors. Feel free to have a seat, you two, there is an ottoman with blankets inside it, make yourself comfortable."

"Did you have a good nap, Feechen? I hope so, because we have visitors. Feel free to have a seat, you two, there is an ottoman with blankets inside it, make yourself comfortable."

He helps Archivist up but has to hold him close realizing Archivist is shivering.

"Where the heck did we end up?"

He looks around when he finally notices Dominik.

"Hey!"

He waves towards Dominik trying to get his attention.

(The Prince's ear flicked, and he makes a hushed noise towards his small golemns, commanding them to remain silent as he looked around, shining his lantern. And thats when he spots the two.)

"....Little ones, stay low. There are... new presences in the ring today."

(And then he spoke up:)

"WHO GOES THERE? THERE ARE NO PRIDE DEMONS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO JOIN MY KINGDOM TODAY."

He walks closer still holding Archivist close.

"We aren't demons we just want to know where we are."

He has one of his hands raised showing he meant no harm. Archivist was shivering pretty bad now that it was seen up close which seems to be worrying Redactor.

"Our names are Archivist and Redactor."

(And then the Princes defensive stance softens, as well as his expression. More castaways? ....He had a soft spot for those.)

"....Hell, Pride Ring. North most ring from Wrath. You arent from here...are you? Otherwise you would know exactly who I am and where you are."

(He stepped forward, holding his lantern up still...That last part, it sounded much similar to someone else youve spoke with before...and Wrath, were you back in Hell? The Icy Prince stepped forward, examining Archivist and Redactor, but mostly Archivist. The Prince looked, incredibly concerned. He quickly set the lantern down, taking off his scarf to wrap it around Archivist. Suddenly he felt...warm. Stable.)

Archivist looks surprised before shrinking into the scarf.

"Thank you..."

Redactor sighs in relief glad Archivist was no longer shivering.

"We're back in hell just great..."

Redactor rubs Archivist's arm slightly. He was obviously not too excited to be in a place like this in hell. All because of how Archivist was in this place.

"You're quite kind sir..."

He looks up at the prince with a slight smile.

"Heheh, I take Pride in being hospitable towards castaways from other dimensions like yourself. I understand how harsh it can be to be forced to someplace new without your consent, and suddenly youre stuck in a blizzard. Also...You said you were *back* in Hell? Have you been here before?"

"Yes we were but we met with the prince of wrath Harbin last time."

Redactor soon ends up taking off his coat and draping it over Archivist's shoulders. It was to help Archivist against the snow a bit more.

"Though I am guessing you are a prince as well meaning you already know Harbin correct?"

(He immediately looked sheepish at that, looking off the the side with a very small blush.)

"Very well, actually. For quite a few hundred years now. He is a incredibly close colleague of mine. Here, lets...get you two out of the cold, mm- are you two okay with flying? It will be quicker than walking."

"I am but Archivist not so much he likes his feet on the ground."

Archivist lets out a sheepish noise at that feeling embarrassed when Redactor says that.

"Hmm.. thats okay, I have an alternative, although it takes more energy at this distance. Bare with me, okay?"

(He shuts his eyes to focused for a moment, and suddenly, a bit of bright blue glitter sparkles around all 3 of them. And with a bright blue and pastel yellow flash, you 3 are all teleported to the castles front steps.)

"Welcome to castle Frosthaven, uhm... watch yourstep, it may be a bit slippery."

Redactor nods before tapping his foot causing his shoes to change into things that can walk on ice.

"Stay close Archivist..."

Archivist nods as he grabs onto Redactor's arm. They soon enter Archivist looking around in amazement. Redactor smiles happy to see Archivist amazed by the place.

"Wait what is your name?"

He looks up to the prince curious.

(-) "Oh...did i not introduce myself? I am Dominik, Dominik Overschmidt. A former BLU Medic from long ago, repurposed as a Sin representing Pride."

(Dominiks small snow golemns had followed them inside, hopping around and squeaking at the newcomers excitedly. He led the two of them down the hall to a set of icy double doors. This entire castle was completely made of ice. He paused in front of the doors, stepping off to the side of the frame, adjusting a peculiar thermostat, setting the temperature to a comfortable 72 degrees Fahrenheit. He then opened the door, revealing a very cozy looking living space. There was a very comfortable looking couch which Dominik gestured to, as well as a large, high-backed chair, next to the chair was a small crib, Dominik immediately walked over to it as the other two sat down. And from it, a small yawn was heard, he picked up what you assume was a newborn snow fairy, similar to the others running about.)

"Did you have a good nap, Feechen? I hope so, because we have visitors. Feel free to have a seat, you two, there is an ottoman with blankets inside it, make yourself comfortable."

(Oh dude...this guy is literally just a dad. Alright.)

They both look surprised and Redactor grabs the tags he wears before they both sit down. While only Archivist does as Redactor grabs blankets and basically cacoons Archivist in blankets. Once Archivist was settled Redactor let's out a small bird sound before quickly covering his mouth.

"Sorry..."

Archivist snickers at Redactor's small bird noise.

"You alright?"

Redactor nods his cheeks slightly red from embarrassment.

(His ear flicked at that, and he giggled at his tiny snow child, who he sat down with, and began nuzzling her.)

"Now, I believe it is my turn to ask *your* names."

"Redactor and Archivist haven't gone by our real names for a long time."

He crosses his arms still hoping he didn't hear the noise he made.

"Fascinating. Mm- I see you made a cocoon for Archivist, id be careful, he could overheat with all of those. I changed the temperature in here to be more comfortable and not so cold, but the blankets- theyre special ones i made myself. Remember the scarf I put on you earlier that warmed you up? It's made with a special yarn my partner makes, it has heating qualities for when youre cold, and alternatively it can cool you down when youre too hot."

(He was also looking at his scarf that was still on Archivist, did he seem pouty a bit..?)

"The blankets should keep you stable, however. Mm...if you wouldnt mind, I would like to grab my scarf back from you."

Archivist lets Redactor take the scarf off before giving the scarf back.

"Thank you for letting him have it."

He sits down next to Archivist again before realizing some floof is poking out. Redactor quickly tries to shove his floof back into his button up.

"Damn floof!"

Archivist starts laughing at Redactor trying to hide his floof.

"Of course. And...floof?"

(The prince sat down in his fancy high-backed chair, adjusting the small snow fairy to sit in his lap. The baby was still sleepy, so she just kind of leaned against him and drooled.)

Redactor shrinks into himself which makes his floof pop out of the collar of his button up surrounding his face.

"Yes I have floof..."

Redactor huffs deciding not to keep trying to hide his floof. Archivist snickers slightly at how Redactor just sucomes to his floof.

Archivist starts snorting which makes Redactor groan.

The snow was peaceful today, and the Prince himself seemed content, which would explain the lack of heavy snowfall, or snowfall at all. He was holding a lantern, however, something he carried with him often. A couple small snow golemns ran around near him with rapid squeaks as they played.)
