Juan for All, All for Juan— Philippines' Community Pantries
As the pandemic extends and worsens its effects on the people of the Philippines, Filipinos form a shield together hand in hand through acts of generosity and hospitality.
Have you ever heard of the Philippines' Community Pantries?
These small stalls of free food and necessary supplies are spread throughout the country, starting from a place called Maginhawa Street in Quezon City, Philippines. The other community panties that followed were all said to be inspired by the Maginhawa Pantry.Â
The Maginhawa Community Pantry was made by a person named Ana Patricia Non. She stated that she started the community pantry as she was devastated by the misfortune the pandemic has done upon the poor Filipino people.
It is indeed heartwarming to know that in times when even nature refrains us from even just doing what is necessary to live in a capitaiist society, our own people stays by our sides to help us all, big or small, all for one, one for all.
Let us spread love and generosity in the world.
