  Well, yes, we’re two guys, but since neither you or I are heterosexual I think that negates the entire argument. It’s the same as a boy and a girl sharing a bed when they’re both straight. Right? She always seems a bit flustered when I bring him up.

Hmm. Maybe. I don't have that much experience with these things. But now that I think about it, you're the only boy I've ever shared a bed with. Well, and Al. Neila is always flustered. Don't nag her about it, Lysander, that's mean. Really, if your brother likes her, you should be supportive. You guys are both terrible. Trying to make each others significant others uncomfortable at every given opportunity. Seriously, how old are you?

Oh, really? I hadn’t heard. That’s good then, all the students will get their qualifications…if that even matters anymore.. [He shakes the melancholy off.] It’s good you’ve got friends around to visit, cause even in wartime, especially then, I think it’s good not to be alone. [Callum feels awkward after speaking, but it’s better to be honest than not.]

Yeah well, [He shrugs a little uncertain.] It's only the OWLs. I mean, there's not much I can do with them, right? Except for becoming a celebrity or something [he jokes lightly.] Yeah, I'm glad, too. I don't know what I'd do without them to be honest. My home is not exactly... fun right now.

That’s what I told her, but she’s incorrigible. [Lys flopped down on the couch beside him, throwing his legs over Arron’s lap.] I wouldn’t say that I’m sure of who I am. Some days I’m just as confused as everyone else, but I just don’t care what other people think of me, so I’m able to experiment and figure things out without being self-conscious. That’s all.  And not like… I don’t think they’re shagging. Quite literally sleeping together. In the same bed. Or am I imagining things?

She always has been. [He smiles and starts tracing random patterns on Lysander's knee with the tip of his finger.] Yeah, and since most people, including me and probably Neila, do occasionally care what other's think of them, it can be a bit intimidating at first. But She'll get over it. Don't worry. [He frowns.] So, you think they're dating? And, I mean, we have slept in the same bed before, even before we got together, but maybe that's different because we're two guys? I really have no idea. Maybe we should just ask them about it.

It’s because you’re a good friend. [She grabbed a gumdrop from one of the piles and popped it into her mouth. She knew she should save them to decorate, but she also knew they wouldn’t be able to last through finishing the gingerbread house before they started eating it.] I will eventually, or he’ll come here. Right now it’s more important for me to be with my family…. Sounds like a plan.

Am I? Sometimes I'm not sure about that. [He grinned and stole a gumdrop as well. After all, he had another bag with decoration stuff in one of his suitcases, knowing that these wouldn't last very long.] Yeah, I get that. So, is everyone in London right now?

Sure, he’s a little off. But I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. Or, well, he wouldn’t want us to worry about him. You probably will anyway, though, right? That’s what best friends are for. I think he’s just so busy worrying about all the rest of us lately… I think he is, actually. I’m really worried about him. [She moved the gingerbread around a bit, just to keep her hands busy. Nervous habit.] He’s alright. I think he misses the outside world though. I miss him. [She continued to arrange and rearrange the gingerbread, trying to figure out how to lay out the house.] No chocolate for Charlie. She’s allergic. But we could make her tea, and leave some of the house without any chocolate on it for her.

Hmmm, if you say so. But yes, of course I'll worry about him. I always worry about him. [Arron smied a little, but he decided to drop the subject, not wanting to concern Lily over this.] Maybe you should just drop by and visit him? Or we could also go there and kidnap him. That would be quite the adventure. [He grins, snatching some more sprinkles from a bowl.] Yeah, I think we dn't even have that much chocolate stuff. but we could just leave one side of the house completely without and she'll get that one.

Callum nods, trying to remember how old Arron is. They had never talked too much, but the boy seems kind.] S’nice to see you too. I’ve been alright, thanks. I’m bartending at the Leaky Cauldron- I’m staying at a place here in Diagon Alley. How about yourself, how’s it going with you? [His words are slightly rushed, customary answers with customary questions- all sounding earnest, as they properly should.]

[Arron sighs a little. One more of his schoolmates who's working a job. Somehow he feels like they all have to grow up way to soon. ] So you have a real job, too, huh? Somehow I almost feel bad doing nothing all day. Although I should probably study for my OWLs. Ministry says we could take them in a few weeks. [He smiles and shrugs.] I've been staying with Lysander for the last couple weeks. I think it's safe to say I live there now. But I'm visiting the Potters at the moment, seeing a few friends. But yeah, I one ignores the fact that there's probably a war coming, I'm good.

[Albus shrugged, not much in the mood for arguing the issue. He wasn’t sure he believed Arron, or anyone, for that matter, when they pushed confidence onto him, and tried to convince himself he wasn’t as out of place as he was. It felt forced, always did, and if they were trying to pass something they themselves didn’t actually believe as the truth.]  Well, I suppose it… the volume you would need varies with the length of your stay… which was supposed to be how long, again? [He tried to hide the fact that he wanted to hear the visit would be indefinite, that Albus wouldn’t be stuck alone with people he was so unsure of.]

[He grinned and started to walk up the stairs.] I don't know, yet. That's why I packed so much. And to have a variety to chose from, of course. I'll be staying for at least a week, probably longer. But be prepared, if I stay longer than two weeks, Lys might get bored and come here. But I'll be here for as long as you want me. Or need me. [He bit his lip, feeling guilty about abandoning his best friend for so long. He somehow had to find a way to make it up to him. Under no circumstances did he want Albus to feel like he didn't matter anymore, now that Arron was in a relationship.] So, I assume I'm staying with you, as always?

Well, she’s going to be disappointed if it takes us ten years to get married. She’ll likely plan it out then use it for herself instead. [Lys shrugged his shoulders.] I’m not that intimidating, am I? Also I think she’s sleeping with my twin.

We just got together a month ago. Talking about weddings seems a bit soon, don't you think? And if she plans out the perfect one to use for herself, that's fine with me. [He laughed and walked over to the living room couch sitting down cross-legged.] You're not I think. Well, okay, I'm biased, I just think you're adorable. But I might have thought you're intimidating at first, too. Because you seem so confident and sure of who you are, you know? Neila's sleeping with Lorcan? Since when?

[It’s difficult to see who it is in the dim light- a bit of a safety hazard in current times, but Callum risks it sometimes all the same. Anyway, it’s not anyone out to kill him, to the contrary. He lets go of Arron’s arm as the boy regains his balance. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, Callum steps back a step to talk to him a bit better. ‘And that’s the only reason,’ he convinces himself.] Don’t be sorry mate, it’s all fine. Glad you’re not all broke to pieces, though, that’d be a bit unfortunate.

[Arron reaches down to grab his bag he dropped in their almost-crash. Then he straightens and smiles up at Callum. He doesn't know the other boy very well, but they've met frequently back at Hogwarts whenever Arron came to visit Lysander. They'd never exchanged many words, only the usual smalltalk, but he likes the other boy well enough.] Yeah, that would be a pity. [He lets out a small laugh.] Hi Callum, nice to see you. How have you been since the school closed? Do you live somewhere around here?

Well that was… sort of an accident. We just ran into one another, an-and it was all incredibly… strange. I don’t really know if that counts as socializing, given how much I mumbled and stuttered. Right, o-of course, sorry, where are my manners? Do you need help with your bags?

Hey come on, I'm sure she was very happy to see you. And she probably didn't mind the stuttering. Lux isn't someone to care about these things. No, it's fine, I got it. And don't look at me like that, I really did need two suitcases.

Al is fine, I don’t really mind talking to him. We actually had a pretty good chat earlier. But I haven’t talked to James since he left Hogwarts. I’ve written him a few letters but he hasn’t written back. [She shrugged sadly.] Bradan’s house is on a bit of a lockdown currently seeing as Maira got caught sneaking out, but I’m hoping he’ll be able to come visit sometime soon. I’m very glad you’re here. [She began pulling the ginger bread out of the bag and organizing all of the supplies into little piles for easy access.] She gets off work in about an hour, I think, so you should get to meet her tonight.

You think he's alright though? I thought he was acting a little... different lately. And about James, hmmm, do you think he's drinking again? [He frowns] I think I haven't seen Bradan in a while. How is he? [He reached out and snatches a handful of sprinkles from one pile] Maybe we'll be done by then. Then we could all have hot chocolate and eat the gingerbread house.

[It’s gloomy out, but Callum doesn’t mind all that much. He can hide that much easier, limit his interaction. Maybe think quietly for a spell, without the hustle and bustle of the Leaky Cauldron distracting him- a true rarity.

He ambles along the cobbled alley, head down to hide his distictive features-he does not want to talk just now, not in the least- shoes pressing against the stones in a quiet tap-tap-tap he cannot escape. But so involved is he in the thoughts and the taps and the memories passing through his mind, he nearly crashes into another. Realizing what has happened, he reaches out a hand to help steady them, his gaze darting to rest upon their face. When he speaks, Callum’s tone is warm and concerned.] Hey, you alright?

[Arron curses silently. He is late. It was already getting dark, and he still had to get back to Grimmauld Place. He was nervous. With everything that happened lately, he disliked being outside on his own after sunset. But things at Gringotts had taken longer than he'd expected. The goblins seemed more suspicious than ever and he'd waited for almost two hours before someone had even acknowledged his presence.

He hurries to get back to the Leaky and to Muggle London and doesn't really see the person in front of him until it's too late and he almost runs into them. He stops abrubtly, losing his balance and swaying for a moment, when a hand appears at his arm and steadies him. Looking up, he sees a face that's vaguely familiar but it takes him a moment to recognise the other boy.] Oh, sorry. I'm so sorry, really, I didn't see you there. Umm, yeah, I guess. Everything still in place.

I have a feeling that the entire wedding is going to be yellow. The one that she’s planning in her head, I mean. Not an actual wedding. [Lys kissed his cheek, letting out a soft sigh.] And I suppose when Lila and Lorcan go play quidditch, Neila and I can go on adventures or read. I don’t think she likes me much.

Yeah, I think she's trying to make it as Hufflepuff as possible. But just let her plan a wedding if it makes her happy. [He gently poked his side.] Hey, don't worry about that, love. I'm sure she likes you. But I think she might feel a bit intimidated, because you're such an open and enthusiastic person. She's a bit of an introvert I guess and not used to that.

Yes, right now. I’m telling you I’m bored out of my mind here. You know me, I always need something to keep me busy. I’ve been writing Bradan a letter a day to keep myself busy but eventually I run out of things to say, so I write Lou and ask him to go out with me but he’s often busy or we run out of things to do and really its just awfully boring around here. [Lily led the way into the kitchen and set the bag on the counter.] She’s at the Magic Neep in Hogsmeade. I’m not sure what her official job is, but she seems to work a lot of shifts.

And I guess your brothers are not really the best company right now, huh? So everyone's abandoned you? Well you're lucky that I'm here then. [He grinned and looked around the familiar room.] Hm, I hope for her that it's a good job. I don't really know Charlie, though. When will I meet her?

[Neila laughed.] Well, boys will be boys and all that. Besides, cereal is delicious…. Well I suppose it depends. What do you like on an omlette? I like bacon, so we should get some of that. Peppers are always good, too.

Hey, I'm a boy and I actually eat real food. But yes, I suppose it is delicious. I just wouldn't want to eat it all the time. Well, I like tomatoes, but it's fine if you don't. And cheese. Like any cheese, I don't care. And peppers, yes.
