As an author, you can’t tell me that you don’t discover things about your own characters completely by accident. I just figured out that mine is flippant with his money because he doesn’t see himself living long enough to use it or build a future, so he gives it out carelessly. I didn’t know this was why until about two minutes ago.

Realize things about your characters, y’all. Life-changing experience.

I realized recently why fanfiction’s the only thing I can enjoy most days lately.

Everything is the same now!

Specifically speaking in fantasy (and romance/romantasy, even though I don’t read those often), the covers are the same, the themes are the same, strong FMC finds the forlorn, brooding prince and they hate each other a while until totally sleeping with each other off-camera—EVERYTHING is the same!

Anyone else out there who feels like we need some new book ideas out there?

Hello, everyone!

I wanted to apologize for being gone so long. I know I’ve been on and off for a few months. Life’s been extremely hectic, especially since July, and I’ve been struggling to keep up. I haven’t lost my passion for the Inheritance Cycle, and I miss everyone here. I love hearing from you and can’t wait to hear updates!

On a positive note, I’ve finished one manuscript and I’m currently querying. I’ve received one rejection and have two pending answers. I am about 45% into my second book, and I intend for the series to be a trilogy. I’m really enjoying myself and would love to share my book if I ever get it published!

I have some art and script requests in my inbox. I WILL answer them, sooner or later. None will be ignored.

My inbox and messages are always open. I’d love to hear from all of you, and I’m looking for some book recommendations. Christmas break feels extremely weird to me this year and I don’t know what to do with myself.
