The Grouchy romance......I'm curious. Is that where both parties are grumpy at each other, one is grumpy, or they're just grumpy at the world, kinda two Halt-like personalities split into two people who fell in love?
Also, the two crown ones, are they part of the same OG work, or are they two separate thingies?
Sooooo! Grouchy romance is actually about a single widowed mother who shows up to a new village (pregnant at the time) and meets the head guard of her new village who’s lord recently got murdered and he’s put in charge.
They start out as frenemies and once the baby is born shenanigans ensue, because the baby thinks the Guard is his dad. Meanwhile the woman slowly takes leadership of the village with said guard, raising the boy together and protecting the land from outside threat. But it’s mostly just a romantasy about moving on, blended families and a stepdad who stepped up! Both are grouchy, Agnar -the guard- is pretty halt like in personality but he’s a goofball. Cossette (the mom) definitely takes the cake with being the MOST grouchy tho lol. Both are grouchy at each other and the world.
As for the crown ones, they’re in separate worlds!
One is a personal project while the other is co-authored with my best friend.
Crooked crown is about an orphan girl who gets adopted by the royal family to masquerade as the princess who had been murdered to take the place in a political marriage (to a very sweet prince Andrew, who helps solve the mystery of his girlfriend’s murder. He’s very nice but isn’t the main love interest) and the story is told through Barret, the best friend and crush of the girl taken to be princess. He acts as a jeweler’s apprentice and makes friends with the prince, and the 3 solve the mystery while Barret works through old traumas and hides secrets of his own.
Gemini crown (co-authored) is about two twin brothers who were pitted against eachother and born to a cruel king.
One prince is sent to the front lines to be killed and the other is brought back to court in an attempt to be a puppet king. Both reconnect and try to save themselves and eachother from their situation and overthrow their cruel father -who loves them in a very twisted way-
Both fight their own demons -Liam, the front line’s Prince, develops a bad habit of heavy drinking and abandonment issues. While Sean is painfully shy, naïve, and dangerously trusting alongside gullible- and they have to deal with a new half sibling about to be born to a concubine who will kill it when she finds its a girl.
It’s about found family, trying to overcome self inflicted demons, and learning to let go. It’s a trilogy planned to have 10 year jumps in each. And both princes learning to deal with the future they gain but didn’t originally want, and realizing that their original dreams were never meant to be.
Hope that answers your questions! Let me know if you have any more or if you wanna know more separately about each story!
