how does one politely tell someone to like... back off a little? i have a coworker who's glued herself to me and I'm genuinely uncomfortable with how close she follows me around and she was going on and on about how "I'm glad you don't mind me being in your personal space bubble" GIRL YOU DIDN'T ASK AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TELL YOU I'M UNCOMFORTABLE AS HELL WITHOUT YOU TAKING IT PERSONALLY 😭 I've known her for five days and she's already calling me her best friend and I'm just like 🧍🏻 and I feel so bad that I'm not reciprocating the vibes, I've just been nice to her cause like??? that's what you're supposed to do???? bare minimum respect doesn't mean we're bffs augh 💔 she wants to go do all sorts of stuff outside of work and I've been trying to subtly and nicely say that I don't have the energy for anything like that (like genuinely I haven't hung out with my regular friends in over half a year due to burnout) but she's not getting the hint bro and it sucks cause she's genuinely a very sweet person. it's just a lot and I am already a very distant person emotionally.
