Billy still could tell that the blonde boy was excited to be here. He was pretty flattered to have someone be this happy about being with him and over his house, even though itâs just him. He gave him a smile as he signed to him that video games would be fun to play. Getting up and going over to the TV where the video games are, Billy looked back at him to ask him what he wanted to play. Before asking, he sees Jerichoâs signs, asking if he plays an instrument. The duplicator nods. âYea I do actually. I play a bit aâ guitar every now nâ then. Ainât a pro at it, but at least I can play a bit. Why ya ask?â
When Billy mentioned being able to play a bit of guitar, it caused Jericho's eyes to widen a bit, and him to inhale quickly in excitement. "Would you want to play together sometime?!" He signed a little enthusiastically. Even if Billy needed help with something, he would gladly show him! He was just happy to know that he plays the guitar too. That made Billy even better in his book. He remained seated on the couch, hands tucked under his legs as he watched Billy set everything up.

Kyd held the other close and in a tight embrace. He hadnât been contacting anyone and he regrets not ever keeping contact with Jericho. Sure it wasnât that long, but not talking to him in some way sort of hurt. The lack of communication made it seem like he could lose the other. But he had some business to take care of and didnât have time to remember to contact anyone. The teleporter shook his head slowly. He didnât have time to think of this right now. Eli had to make sure he warmed the other up before he got sick. He continued to rub the otherâs back, side and arm.
The warmth and comfort he was receiving from the other was making him forget, for the moment, all the questions that Jericho had for Eli. It felt too good, too nice to be in his arms again. Even if the situation behind it was... not the greatest. He buried his face against Eli's chest and closed his eyes, focusing on his breathing and warming up. Anything he had to ask would have to wait till he was better. Which hopefully would be by the morning. Just focusing on the nice security he currently had was more than enough to allow him to fall asleep.

Bart waved back, smiling wide. âHi!â
Jericho smiled at the other. "I'm Jericho!" He signed with his hands.

When Jericho nodded from his question about it being alright with him that itâs just the two of them, he felt a bit better. Of course Billy knew that he wouldnât be all bummed out all night because it was just the two of them; he was a better guy than that. He just started to wonder now what they could do during this time. âHm⊠Well⊠I mean⊠if we had a couple others we could play a board game or somethinâ⊠But we could still play some video games, if ya wanna⊠Do ya or, do ya got something else in mind? Iâm open fer anything, bud. Yer the guest.â
Jericho was up for anything really. It didn't even matter if they just sat there and talked all night long. He was just too ecstatic to be invited to a sleep over. He couldn't get it out of his mind. And though it didn't necessarily show in his body, other than his smile, he remained calm. "Videos games sound fun." He replied with his hands and nodded his head. "Do you play any instruments?" He couldn't remember if he had asked Billy this before or not. But maybe a little musical session between the two of them would be pretty nice too!

Jericho looks up at the Superman... lookalike? Or was it Superman? He wasn't sure, but he gave him a smile. "Jericho!" He signed with his hands.

Lee nodded at the weak âthank youâ he signed, giving him a small smile. âDonât mention it. Happy to help, honest.â It wasnât like her to take people in like this, but Jericho was a friend, and one that needed her help, at that. Like hell she was just going to leave him on the streets all alone. Getting to her feet, she grabbed a towel and a few blankets sheâd stored in an empty crate, bringing them over to him. He wasnât able to do much for himself, but she could still help him. The witch dried him off best she could and then laid the blankets on him, helping him warm up, and then sat off to the side, cross-legged, on a crate. âWhat happened, huh? Or⊠dâyou not wanna go into details?â
Jericho was thankful for being dried off and then wrapped in the blankets. They instantly made him start to feel better. Except for his wounds and bruises, those still hurt like crazy. But warmth wise, he was feeling better. And though he was still weak, he managed to raise his hands up to sign back to her, slowly. "I don't remember...." he looked down and sighed gently. Why couldn't he remember? Was he hit in the head or something when he was just dumped and left to die? It was possible, but he couldn't shake the feeling that it was something important.

As Jericho sat down on the couch with him, he gave him a smile, happy that he actually came today and even more happy that he was excited. After Billy mentions Kyd not being able to make it, he notices that the other was a bit sad from it. He hoped that Jericho wouldnât be so bummed out because of this now. But, after seeing the smile again shortly after, he knew that even without the teleporter they could still have fun. Billy returned the smile to him and chuckle. âIt ainât a problem, buddy! Iâm happy that ya came over⊠But it is alright that itâs just me ân yew right? I know itâs fun with more people but See was busy too nââŠâ He sorta just let himself trail off then put the smile back on his face. âAh who needs âem? Weâll have fun!â
Jericho nodded his head quickly. Of course it was alright! Sure it would have been nice to hang out with the others too, but having it so it was just Billy and him was still great! Billy was one of Jericho's closest friends from the H.I.V.E. other than Kyd, and he really enjoyed spending time with him. Especially considering how nice he was to him all the time. Jericho never felt he deserved any of it, and yet Billy did it anyways. And it really did make him feel good. He smiled brightly at Billy's last comment and nodded in agreement. "Tons of fun!" He signed, silently wondering what they would be doing since it was his first real sleepover.

Dove nodded in acknowledgement of his smile, grinning again at his appreciation and glad his thirst could be sated. He was writing after all⊠and when he showed her the paper and she read the message⊠It gave her reason to pause. Saving his life? Was that really what she did?
Her chin dipped timidly as he returned to his writing, but her reply was heartfelt and genuine: âYouâre welcome. I⊠wanted to help. Azar, when you put it like that, I sound like some sort of⊠hero.â The hesitance in her tone betrayed that this wasnât exactly how she saw herself.
And when he showed her the second message, her eyes widened and her brow crooked, ever so slightly, in sympathy.
Not wanting to talk was one thing. But not being able to talk?
Even with how sparingly she used the ability, she wasnât sure what sheâd do without it. This time her nod was slower, more thoughtful, as she voiced an even simpler reply: âIâm sorryâŠâ Not laden with pity, but sympathy. Recognizing loss without assigning weakness.
Thats exactly how Jericho saw her. How could she not see herself that way when she saved his life? It doesn't matter if it was a normal civilian just trying to help out or not, Jericho would still consider them to be a hero, because in the end, they stepped up and saved his life. When they could have easily just passed him over. Just like she could have, but didn't.
And there it was, the apology that he knew was coming. He knew it wasn't that she felt bad for him, Or at least... he hoped, cause he didn't see his lack of voice to be a weakness or a hindrance at all. In fact, he kind of preferred it this way. However the cause of this... he was not so much a fan of... "Don't be. I was given my voice back for a time, but I didn't enjoy it..." Naturally, because he had gotten accustomed to not talking, and he just felt wrong when he was able to.

The duplicator really didnât mind that Jericho was one of those god guys, and he didnât seem to care either. Thatâs what he really likes about him; just that Jericho is still so friendly and nice to him, even though heâs a âbad guyâ. Other villains would probably take advantage of Jericho and use him to infiltrate into where ever the other good guys were. Not Billy though; he doesnât really care for that. He really just likes stealing stuff and being fun about it, not world domination or stuff like that. That was really what the HIVE Five was about; all of his former team mates just wanted to steal good looking and expensive items. For Billy, really just candy, money and some bridges every now and then.
As Jericho came inside, he felt his arms wrap around him in a quick hug. He embraced him back and chuckled before going to the couch and plopping himself down on it. Billy knew when he said that he could put his stuff anywhere that he wouldnât do so. Jericho was too polite to do so.He let out another short laugh and watched his signs, comprehending them. âAh, no. I asked Kyd, but he said he was busy this weekend. Heâs visitinâ someone somewhere, ah I donât even know but⊠Yea, itâs just the two aâ us. That alright?â
After setting his backpack in the corner, and leaning his guitar case against the wall, he turned back to face Billy. Jericho watched and slowly made his way over to the door. Once there, he slipped his boots off, having forgotten to do so when he first came in. Afterwards, he walked to the couch, taking a seat on the opposite end of it, giving Billy some space. Nodding his head slowly when he heard mention of Kyd possibly being here. But of course, when he discovered that Kyd was busy elsewhere, he let out a silent sigh, but quickly replaced with with a bright grin. It didn't matter! Billy was an awesome friend, and Jericho definitely enjoyed hanging out with him. "Yeah! Thank you for inviting me!" He signed, knowing he's told Billy that already, but he really was excited and thankful to him.

Doveâs head dipped at his response. âIâm sorry, I-I shouldnât have⊠It was a stupid idea anyway.â She shook her head to herself, hard. It probably didnât make sense to him - and she wasnât quite ready to explain why sheâd been silly enough to suggest that someone who was aware enough to smile shouldnât write, or even that she thought she should use telepathy on a complete and total stranger - even if he was hurt, and badly.
And so she left the room - and spent the whole time, right up to her return, wondering⊠Why did he want to write? What did he need to write down? Was he writing a note he didnât want her to see, or hear? But no, that didnât feel right⊠Simple communication seemed the only real possibility. But if that was the case, why didnât he just say so? Maybe his voice had powers, and he didnât speak for the same reason she never made eye-contact. Or was he just a quiet person that didnât like to talk? That was her, usuallyâŠ
Too private and hesitant to ask, she simply set it beside the paper recording his injuries, and she approached the bed again, this time offering the paper and the pen with an awkward smile. âHere. The waterâs⊠for you, if you want it. I donât know how long you were thereâŠâ Her voice softened. ââŠif youâve had water lately, andâŠâ From there she could only shrug. The memories lingering at the edges of her mind were etched too deep to dwell on, not now⊠and it wouldnât help anyone if she let those emotional thoughts in. Tonight his pain deserved much more attention than hers.
Jericho could only give her a soft smile when she apologized to him. It was hard being mute sometimes, for reason's just like this. Making people think they did something wrong by asking questions, just trying to be nice. He sighed when she ended up leaving the room. He laid back, staring at the ceiling, trying to move as little as possible, considering his injuries. Apparently his clothes were still a little wet as well. Wouldn't be surprising if he caught a cold from them. But that was the last thing on his mind at the moment.
She soon returned with a notepad, pen, and some water. He smiled gratefully to her and reached for the water first, taking a rather big chug from it. He wasn't dehydrated at all, just his mouth was incredibly dry. After that, he took the pen and paper and started writing. "Thank you for saving my life. And for the water. And for getting me this paper and pen. And being so nice." He wrote and turned it around to show her. Afterwards, he brought it back. "I can't talk because my vocal chords are cut." He showed her, explaining the reason behind his silence.

Jericho was rather surprised when he got a call from Billy, asking if he wanted to have a sleep over. Heâs never been invited to one of those before. Parties, sure. But never a sleep over. And even then, he was only invited to parties as a courtesy. So he always ended up sitting off in the corner, keeping to himself, and watching everybody interact with others.
He was more excited than he probably should of been, but he couldnât help it. A large smile was on his face as he packed up a bunch of his things into a small backpack that hung over one shoulder, and his guitar case over the other. Once he was sure that he had everything, he ran off to Billyâs house. He even wore that big and ridiculous smile on his face the whole way there. Once he arrived, he knocked on the door, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet in anticipation.
When Billy told Jericho about him wanting to come over for the night, he could just tell that he was excited. Although the boy was mute, he could just tell that he was happy he got the offer. Billy was excited to; really the only people heâs had this type of hang out with before is Kyd and some other HIVE friends. But Jericho was a nice guy, and deserved something like this. The boy had never even been to a party of any sorts without being left out until Billy brought him over for Thanksgiving. Jericho appreciated that greatly.
The duplicator mustâve underestimated the otherâs excitement though, because when he opened his apartment door, Jericho was standing there with a huge grin on his face. This made Billy chuckle and smile as well. âNice ta see ya Jericho! Glad yew came by.â He beckoned him inside. âReally just put yer stuff anywhere, the couch, the chair.â He said as he sat on the couch.

Letting out a sigh, the witch carefully scooped him up and stood, holding him so that she wouldnât hurt him any worse. The blood didnât effect her much at all; blood was just something sheâd seen too much of to care about anymore. âI wouldnât have asked, butâŠâ Her thoughts drifted back to finding her ex-boyfriend in a similar state- all heâd asked of her was to sit there with him. But Jericho wasnât Dick- she should have just acted. âNevermind, itâs not important.â Kicking open the door to the warehouse as they reached it, she gently set him down on an old mattress sheâd fixed up and sat down beside him, cross-legged. âItâs not much, but itâll get you off the street.â
He was rather surprised when she managed to lift him up. Granted, he didn't exactly weigh a lot. But he still couldn't help but feel bad. He couldn't do anything to help her. Not even enough to support himself a bit more. He was far too exhausted and weak. Thankfully though the warehouse was close by. So as he was laid down on the mattress, he sighed, grateful to be indoors, but also still concerned for her, feeling like he was being more trouble than he was worth. Soaking her mattress with water, and blood... his clothes clung to his body tightly and his body shivered as it tried to adjust to the slightly warmer environment that the warehouse offered. He then attempted to make the 'thank you' symbol with his hands.

Well, he was awake, and though she had done her best to treat his wounds and provide him with rest, and comfort, he still had quite a bit of healing to go before he was fully healed. Dove noted all of this with concern - though it was really more like a layer of hesitation under her relief. He was certainly on the road to recovery.
And he had the energy to coordinate his hands; that was a very good sign.
She hadnât seen him try to speak first, as if he already knew he couldnât - or, wouldnât⊠That was strange, sheâd never seen anyone awaken without speaking, or groaning, vocalizing pain or gratitude⊠But rather than question it, she nodded and verbalized her understanding: âYou want to⊠write? There are pens here, but no blank sheets⊠Um, Iâll find you some paper - â
She had already turned to leave, but she paused before she took even a single step away to look over her shoulder, half-turned back to him. âUnlessâŠâ Hoping she wasnât invading any boundaries, she offered, vaguely, in case writing was all she was comfortable with, âThereâs a way I can, probably⊠write it down for you?â
He was grateful to her, he was already feeling a bit better than before. But still not even close to normal. He was still exhausted, weak, and could barely move. He signed thank you to her when she agreed to get him a pen and paper, and then let his head rest back against the table, sighing deeply. It took a lot out of him. Not to mention it hurt. His whole body was in pain. Covered in bad bruises, cuts, scrapes, and so on. What the hell happened....?
But as she paused, Jericho looked at her curiously. Why did she stop? He listened and furrowed his brows tiredly. Write it out... for him? How would that even work. Of course, she didn't know that he couldn't talk... and if he signed it to her, why would there be a need to write it down? Â Jericho just shook his head slowly.

See-More nodded slowly, remembering the teenâs powers of possession during the Brotherhood of Evil battle. âWell, if Kyd likes you, then I like you.â Slinging an arm around Jerichoâs shoulders, he said, âSo, wanna hang or something? Iâm bored and got nothing going on.âÂ
Hey, i understand. Im a really shy person i hardly talk to people i dont know well.
Jericho blinked but nodded. He never saw himself as shy, but there were times...
