Was Arpa’s marriage arranged or of her own free choice?

Not an arranged marriage, I personally believe it was a mutual decision by both Arpa and Bricklin for probably pragmatic reasons. ("money and influence is nice, who doesn't like that?")

They both apparently used to say "Who needs love when you have science?" so IMHO they had some things in common that attracted them to each other, like appreciation for science.

BUT. So far I HC they both were still smitten with each other at least a little bit despite some big emotional barriers.

Pure Headcanon territory: In my own view it was Arpa who figured out how to actually MAKE the blinking lights (it goes well with the idea of Robot sharing a lot of traits with Arpa, Robot's spark of passion for science being actually from Arpa too would be cool), that's why Arpa is closer to the Blinking Lights Mascot than Bricklin in that one painting(?). I think Arpa sacrificed the spotlight to make Bricklin look better & Bricklin commissioned that painting as their little inside thing to show his love in return.

I think there could also be a parallel in Robot/Gart's tastes and what Arpa potentially finds attractive. (Or at least some of the things they all find hot)

Like. Bricklin is a decently big guy. Who I assume probably knows how to take care of himself seeing as Dave said he'd become the King of Blimp Pirates & It's dangerous to be a rich guy bc you'd be a target & Baconmas tradition being what it is and Bricklin's high standards I don't think he'd allow himself to lose so he probably can Kick Ass.

Also am I crazy? Don't Bricklin and JD's body types look at least a LITTLE bit similar?

Something I've noticed about Bricklin is that he is very insistent about his boys being more "grown up" and becoming successful leaders at such an early age. From throwing away Robot's toys to literally giving the entire factory to Gart at 10 YEARS OLD???? In some sketches of models reprimanding robot asking "when are you going to stop acting like a child?" What's his problem????
