What if Carmy took time away to heal?

What if he came back almost a year later as a better man?

What if there were secrets about himself even he was unaware of?

How was he going to be able to earn Sydney's forgiveness? It was certainly one thing to leave her twisting in the wind but to leave her with their restaurant and with his extended family without him around? She had every right to hate him.

It would be so much easier if she hated him.

Fortunately for the both of them, hatred was never something that ever fully existed between the two of them, even at their worst.

Didn't finish the Bear but I do read fanfics for it and this is one of my favorites: Bad for Business by Hotelfoxtrot

It would honestly be a shame for "The Bear" to end with a fizzle when the show started with a bang.

And tbh Sydcarmy is probably the only thing that could save the show at this point if they, honestly, have Season 5 focus on Sydcarmy the way shows like Bridgerton and Heated Rivalry handle their couples (knowing the destination so we can enjoy the journey, no matter how bumpy). The reason people watch these shows is because the audience is guaranteed some sort of actual payoff for its characters and not being stuck in a weird limbo for 2-3 seasons.

Plus, and I'm not even being petty, the other shows I just mentioned, their cast and crew have fun with the fandom and are in on the fandom jokes sometimes. They're never making fun of their fandoms, they're embracing them (while maintaining their proper boundaries as they should).

I doubt Chris Storer would read these posts but if he happens to see this one, here's the main thing he and other creators should know: fandom keeps your work alive, especially in this day and age of there being an overwhelming amount of media... so if you have people who are making edits or writing fanfiction, the least you can do is NOT make fun of their passion for your work and not try to make them feel stupid. Frankly, without so many of these amazing works by the fandom, SO many people would've stopped watching the show altogether after Season 2, I know I would've but the fandom is what has kept me around.
