It’s really cold outside. Too cold for even the bravest of rootlings. But… the sun was out so bright that Ashleaf was very determined to sun herself by the back door. Seeing this, Speck promptly joined. Both ladies would like to get a bit more color, you see, before the Spring sundress season. =)

Ah how time flies! These were taken last spring when we only had 5 gardenfolk, now we’re up to 8, making 10 beasts total. Elsbeth was very excited to see one of her more mundane kin out at the park, and Sephane found a beautiful dogwood tree to perch in. Speaking of birds, the beasts and I can’t wait for the next massive batch of geese to hatch at the park, last time we counted 58!

We’re back!

We now have a working camera and are able to post more again! We have a bunch of pictures of new experiences that we have gone on with the beebs and we are excited to show you all. We also welcome new beasts into our lives with pictures of them and everyone soon.

I’m sorry for the huge “break” from content lately, unfortunately the device we currently use for a camera is broken. Hopefully we’ll be able to afford to replace it soon, the Roots and ‘Shrooms (and Julep and Sephane too) have been dying to post more on the blog.

Morley absolutely agrees with Speck that leaf jewelry should be a thing, and wholeheartedly supports this emerging fashion trend among today’s modern accessorizing mandrake community. Here she is sporting a silver, amethyst, rose quartz, and crystal quartz leaf (and in her case, also bulb) adornment that her human friend made… well, for herself as a bracelet, but Morley has excitedly absconded with it for this occasion. Her favorite color is purple, and she thinks she looks so beautiful right now. She excitedly requested a fashion shoot among the soft, green geranium leaves in her human’s house.

Elsbeth and our newest gardenfolk friend Marverp wanted to get in on the trend. Elsbeth found a pretty pink necklace to wear, and Marverp made her own out of a pack of little seed beads she found. Elsbeth is so happy to have another leafy friend, not that she loves the mushroom folk any less. <3

7:45 is where I draw the line lads, it’s time to watch Sealab 2021 and eat some banana nice cream. Obviously getting real wild on this Friday night.

I want to ask though, while I’m here, I want to have a clothing update soon because it was requested by a Cool Peep™

If you’re the owner of a mandrake or similarly-bodied beast, what kind of clothes/accessories would you like for them? Cloaks? Tunics? Elastic-waist breeches? Please let me know! I was going to try and have one this weekend but I forgot I’m traveling to the coast on Sunday.. so probably Wednesday at the earliest.

We’ve been hoping for a clothes update for awhile now, and the beasts can’t wait to get their little root hands on some new pieces for their wardrobe. They’ve been checking every update to the shop for more breeches, and Elsbeth has been staring longingly at Pillomin’s fur-lined cloak. Though any type of clothing would be amazing!

Happy Ostara! The familiars and I want to wish you a happy spring. In celebration we had tea, fruit, and banana bread! Unfortunately we weren’t able to have our tea party when it was sunny out, but that’s ok. We still had a wonderful time celebrating the Sabbat for the first time together as a family.
