I like how people always ask me if anything is going on, but they don't realize that no one invites me to anything. (Ideally because they think I'm probably busy, but realistically I'm an afterthought). I only hang with ppl when I set stuff up for the most part.

“The relative ease of sexual conquest in modernity is the culprit for contemporary music being so revoltingly mediocre.”
-Ian Svenonius, Supernatural Strategies For Making A Rock ’N’ Roll Group (via diy4lyfe)
Get drunk at the sober space cuz free labor is needed to finish what will be a private recording studio in 2 years.
thanks for the inspo henry lol.
I'm being gaslight-ed. Jfc, I know I'm not going crazy, just being manipulated.
I shouldn't be hard to find... I'll be the one with my big mouth moving; my big words, saying nothing.
The idea that art is this inconsequential thing where anybody can say anything is an incredible insult to artists. Any artist who is anti-censorship is waving a white flag and saying, 'My art is inconsequential'

Well you know theres a lot of groups now that are coming out of this kinda rock camp thing- you know once upon a time, a rock group was a degenerate activity. But now it's being cultivated by parents who send kids to rock camp and learn how to do it like Stevie Ray Vaughn or something. Because of this the groups are of higher quality than ever- in a certain sense. But what's missing the ideological underpinning of some of the old groups. Now everyone is learning how to stand on stage, and... now their learning when their nine or ten years old. Whats missing, maybe, is some of the other things that make the art form and medium interesting.

I need to sell out/relax my moral-ethical standards or quit doing this music stuff.
Even people I thought were my close friends try to ALL CAPS call me out and shame me over my DIY/business ethics with lies. And when I proved they were lying they doubled down on it!! Jesus fucking Christ..
